Our server, Jose, was excellent, as was the food. Our party of 5 thoroughly enjoyed it - thank you!
Great wine education! Very nice atmosphere. One of my favorite spots!
Birthday! L’Opera is amazing! Great consistent service, food, and atmosphere.
Great food and perfect setting
I loved the Insalata Tritata!!! Totally refreshing.
It was a great food was amazing and out waiter was awesome
Was a nice romantic restaurant. Would definitely return. Friendly staff , great staff and attention
I took my wife to dinner as a date. We treated this opportunity as an event not just a meal. We have found that intentionally having a date night only enriches our marriage. Tonight was our first patronage to L’Opera. We were greeted at our table by a manger who seemed to have an invested interest in making sure we felt a welcome spirit. The timing of service was perfect during the complete meal. We had a cocktail before ordering and never felt rushed.
We had two antipasti. The Carpaccio Classico was truly a classic with a flavor of nostalgia. The seared scallops were caramelized to a golden brown. My wife stated after her second bite “This tastes heavenly”. I indulged in a New York Strip cooked to the satisfying temperature of medium rare. My wife enjoyed the butternut squash ravioli that she loved.
Don’t miss out on this Italian gem.Book a reservation soon!
To our surprise we were treated to a special vocalization of superb opera singer twice during our meal. Our dinner event was truly an Italian experience . We highly recommend L’Opera and plan on returning soon!
Scott, was our server and he was fantastic. I was with a group of very close friends and my best friend from Napa and he brought some wine from his cellar. Scott recommended pairings for us and basically brought us what he thought was best. The food was all amazing and the service was impeccable. It was one of the best dinners I've ever had! Thank you Scott!
We had a great experience at L Opera. Friendly greeting, very nice table, excellent service and food and a nice surprise at the end of a great evening: a very reasonable check.
The eggplant special for the day was chewy and hard. I had just eaten the same item at another Italian rest. the day prior and was hoping for better eggplant. It must be pre-soaked so that it's tender. Very disappointed as I've had great meals there prior..The waiter was attentive but not intrusive as I was doing a work project.
Dining at L'Opera is always a treat. Our waiter was outstanding as was the food.
We've been to L'Opera many times and have taken friends with us there as well... for dinner with friends, and even special birthday occasions. The service is always without parallel. Polite, attentive, and prompt. They are even starting to reserve "our table" for us when we make reservations with never a problem.
We'll definitely be returning, with yet another group of friends. One of Southern California's Best, and not just in the city of Long Beach.
Have always enjoyed a visit L'Opera. Excellent ambiance, food, and service.
The food was very good and the atmosphere was really nice. The service was very slow. Almost nonexistent. There did not seem to be enough help
It was our first visit to L’Opera. I and my son had dinner there before Long Beach Symphony concert. Our waiter, Tina, showed us an excellent service and we definitely come back soon and would like to request a table of hers.
Food was delicious. I had cioppino and my son had spaghetti clam.
Their bartender did a great job. I had lemon drop and Campari with orange juice. Very simple classic cocktails, so skillful ness of bartenders are shown clearly.
It was Friday night and a tenor singer was there to sing some arias table side. Not sure it’s only for weekends night or everyday service. Such a beautiful voice and enthusiastic.
Lunch at L'Opera was our favorite meal while in Long Beach. We shared the L'Opera Salad which had a fantastic dressing. The butternut squash ravioli was outstanding in both taste and presentation. The chocolate dessert our attentive server recommended was the perfect end to our meal. We will return the next time we are in Long Beach.
Food was not what I thought it should be. Not NY that’s for sure
An amazing and classy location with fabulous food, elegant setting and superb service.
The food, ambiance, service, drinks and dessert were excellent. We will definitely go back and try more things on the menu. Truly enjoyed this restaurant.
Perfect. Josh was a great server with a smile and conducted himself professionally. The food was deliciously with wine pairing.
We were in town for a trade show and popped in for a late night glass of wine and an app. The bartender was outstanding and knowledgeable... the wine list and selection of light bites was impressive. The next day we were so impressed, we made reservations for the following night. They did not disappoint! Live Opera music sung table side... exquisite food, wonderful wine, The best Burrata cheese I've ever tasted. A must try when visiting Long Beach!
I thought the food tasted amazing, props to the chef.
We had a wonderful evening. Service was top notch and the food was delicious. We also had a great deal thanks to Long Beach Restaurant Week. Portions were surpisinggly generous and we left satisfied. Lovely ambiance in the dining room as well!
Delicious food and wine and good, attentive service.
Our waiters were very friendly and i loved how they were so attentive with us! Every time he saw my glass almost empty he was quick to refill it and also kept making sure we were enjoying our meal and asking if we needee anything! This is our new anniversary spot !
A+ for atmosphere. Food was very good. Service ok. Felt waiter was rushed.
This was our second time at L'Opera. Even though we arrived a little later than our reservation, they were most kind and seated our friends until we got there. The server was very friendly and quick to come to the table to see if we needed anything. I had the Chilean Sea Bass and it was absolutely delicious. We even splurged and got the creme brulee - a great choice if I do say so. Large enough to share and it had fresh fruit on top.
L'Opera never disappoints. The service is great and the food is excellent!
The food was amazing! Excellent wine list and impeccable service!
Good food and nice service. I would go back.
They gave us a slow start due to more customers than expected for a Sunday night, but it was all made up for in the food!! Absolutely outstanding!!!
Great opera singer!
Great time and food dessert was wonderful and server was very good nice and fun
Wonderful vegetarian options and accommodate diet restrictions - overall best dining experience
We had Alex (with long hair) as our waiter, on Valentine's Day. He took care of business, to say the least. The wine he recommened paired very well with our Ravioli (braised beef). He took the time to get to know us, but never neglected his other tables. He introduced the head cook to us, who deserved our "thank yous". The Raviolis were light, as a fresh Ravioli should be, and the Bruschetta was tastefully balanced.
Perfect as always! This place is always our go to spot for any occasion
Sat in the wine cellar for Valentine’s Day. Not as nice as upstairs dining room. Main course took a really long time getting to us. It was pretty good food once it arrived though. Our server was apologetic and tried hard.
We had a wonderful Valentine's Day meal at this beautiful restaurant. From walking in to find the ceiling covered in Valentine balloons to being serenaded by the virtuoso, the night was very romantic and enjoyable. I had the Stracceti Manzo and my beautiful girl friend choose the Pollo Parmigiano. Both were cooked to perfection and the Dell' Opera and Tritata salads were nice lead-ins while Tiramisu was an excellent way to end this special evening.
Dining here is always enjoyable. The fact that they are able to pull it off on the busiest restaurant night of the year is nothing less than passion for excellent food and exceptional service.
Great time for Valentine's date lunch. The bill was about $350 with tip for two appetizers, 2 main courses, 3 glasses of red wine, 1 desert shared, 1 cognac (1738), and 2 expressos so for some this could be pricey. The low was we ordered medium New York strips that were not the best cut of meat and were not cooked to the standards of this scale of restaurant. Everything else was great. Hope this is helpful 🤓.
