I love L'Opera, especually during Grand Prix week. The cood is always excellently prepared and the wait staff is always attentive and helpful. I would highly recommend to anybody looking for a nice dinner out.
As always the service and food were exceptional. We make it a point to always dine here durning Grand Prix weekend at least once. The servers are very knowledgable on each meal and we are never disappointed with any recommendation. This is a must stop if you want great Italian food.
It was a great evening with wonderful service. We had a large party of 12 people and the service made it feel like an intimate get together. Highly recommend!
Food was great. Service was not. Had to ask for the bread. Never could find our waiter. Did not offer pepper or cheese and had to ask for another expensive glass of wine. Other than that it was good.
I hadn't been back to this Long Beach institution/GEM in many years, but I remember the great food, service and decor. It's always a special place to go for a romantic evening or with dear friends. The frutti de mare spaghetti and filet mignon medallions (STRACCETTI DI MANZO) were perfection!
Service was note perfect.
They were super busy because of the event at the Terrace Theatre. I opted for the pasta e fagioli as we were in a little bit of a hurry. I love their food, but would not recommend this soup. It was very uninspired and room temp.
Not enough staff. Cold food, lot's of waiting. Not a good experience.
L'Opera is always a great dining experience and last night was no different. Totally satisfied on all fronts except maybe just a little noisy.
The service was the real problem as the waiter seemed unconcerned about visiting us. It was my parents 65th!! wedding anniversary and I let the restaurant know and basically nothing was said. Drinks took forever, but the table of 8 men next to us got first rate attention. The ravioli I ordered was good but the sauce was under salted. The minestrone was also under seasoned and bland. The coffee served was lukewarm. I tipped 15% which I realized later was too much. Don't bother. Average food and indifferent service. One positive was the gluten free options for my wife who has celiac.
The Plates were delicious as was the bread and pre dinner drinks. Server was on point. Great ambience. The singer delivered.
I love this place. Excellent food and service. They are top rated on my list of dining out. They have done a remarkable remodel since the Disgusting riots in our city destroyed the place.
It was a fantastic experience. Good and service were on point.
We had a great time and the food was exceptional but the service was very very slow. It took an hour and a half to get our main courses once ordered. Our waiter appeared to have all the tables in our room which may have been the issue. Three of us had the salmon and thought it was wonderful.
Enjoyable restaurant. Good food, good service. A bit crowded but still enjoyable.
Really enjoyed our meal, great service
Impeccable service and extremely attentive staff
If you haven't been to L,Opera, you're missing out. Give it a try. I think you'll be very pleased as we were on our first visit, September 5, 2021. Excellent Italian restaurant.
Loved it! There were 9 of us, we had a great time, the best table in the restaurant, it was their round table, and we had a view outside the window, Alfredo was a great server and the food just delicious!!!
Service and atmosphere was only out done by the great food.
We're long-time customers and so glad to finally be back. L'Opera did not disapoint.
Everything was excellent. We had Veal Scallopini and Osso Bucco and Panna Cotta for dessert. All were excellent as was the service.
We had a wonderful evening. It was my husbands birthday and he was serenaded by a gentleman with an incredible voice. The service at our table and the food was excellent. Ready to go back!
Outstanding dinner with class A service. My husband and I had a wonderful time🥂
Great experience, we all enjoyed our meals and service
The food was excellent. The service was great and the songs to order were really fun.
We had a great time celebrating our son’s new job. Everyone was wonderful and friendly. The food was delicious!
Thank you everyone for making our anniversary memorable (8/28/21). Thank you Miguel, Jose, Sam (liked your rendition of Nessun dorma). Tiffany and Terry who welcomed us !
First time.. food was delicious, from appetizers to dessert.. had the absolute best server, Jessica… will be coming back for sure!!!
Had a wonderful experience with old friends!!
Nothing special to say about the place
Beautiful restaurant, felt well attended too by staff food was delish.
We went to celebrate my cousin's birthday and had a quiet but delicious meal. Everything was perfectly prepared and portions were good.
Love the atmosphere. Very professional service. The hostesses were super super friendly. All the food was delicious. Was a little on the expensive side for business travelers. Salad w/ a main course and bottle water was over $70 w/ tip.
It was a slow night for L'Opera, with many tables open around us. Jessica provided GREAT service, with recommendations and constant check ins.
I will certainly be back!
Perfect place to celebrate our anniversary. Food was delicious and nice sized portions unlike many "upscale" restaurants. From the bread while we waited until the fantastic carmelized pineapple cake dessert everything was perfect.
Great food and ambiance in downtown Long Beach. Glad to be back after a tough year
Amazing service! Food taste great ! Definitely will be going back.
We celebrated our wedding anniversary at L’Opera and everything was fantastic. The food was incredible and their staff went out of their way to make our evening very special and memorable. Thank you!!
Came early to dinner so the restaurant was not busy at all. Service was spot on and very attentive. We did not feel rushed at all and server offered suggestions when asked. I feel the staff really enjoy their jobs and feel proud to work at a fine establishment. Food was very good. Cream brûlée was a little off to me in texture but tiramisu was excellent. Pesto dipping sauce was yummy. I had the butternut squash ravioli and it was excellent as was my husband’s veal shank. Flavors were amazing.
Food and service was excellent! So glad there back open!
