This is one of my neighborhood favorites. Never disappoints and perfect for any occasion. Highly recommend for locals or out of towners!
Loosie's Food was good, specifically the Charred Broccolini, the cauliflower and the Branzino. Service was mediocre. Our reservation wasn't in their system and after showing them our confirmed open table reservation were were told that we were in luck because their last 2-top for the night was open. Even though this didn't feel very welcoming or hospitable, we continued with our night. There were some ants on the floor and brick wall near our table which was unpleasant. Overall, the food was good but the staff there could be better at service and hospitality. We will not be rushing back.
Very delictable food, I enjoyed myself with the company I brought. Our waitress though was offstandish and didn't communicate well with my party. However, I would go back for the food and the whole ambiance of the restaurant.
Great food. Good service. Fun ambiance.
Great food, friendly staff, and BEAUTIFUL SPACE. Loved it! I was also really appreciative of the non-judgmental attitude from the staff when we were taking photos. It was also my friend's birthday and they made it extra special by bringing out dessert with a candle. Thank you!
While I really love the ambience, the service was really poor. The hostess accidentally spilt water on the table (and on me), no apology. You have to flag waitstaff down to order anything including a coffee. Waiter didn't know what an irish coffee was, and when brought the coffee, let us know that they didn't have Bailey's (maybe it was his first day?)
Separately, the food is not cheap, but portion size and taste was also not up to par considering other spots you'll find in the neighborhood. Maybe it was just my order. I wish I could give it more stars, but it'd be helpful if waitstaff was trained on being a bit more attentive. We honestly could have left without paying, because waitstaff was never paying attention.
Running out of 2 of your 4 main courses is embarrassing. Not to mention only having dark meat for fried chicken...Only option was Branzino.
Loved it !
Great looking place. Great food. Didn’t enjoy playlist.
Worst service in NYC to date! I have been to over 200 restaurants in the city.
Nice staff. Great coffee. Good menu. Price is right.
Cute spot and great food!
It was a food that can be eaten anywhere
It was different food by photo
But chicken with toste was so good
We were a table of 7 for brunch. The restaurant is bright and welcoming. Most of the people in our party liked their dishes; some loved their selections; and one didn't particularly care for her eggs. The desserts were a hit, especially the vegan selections including cookies and muffins.
Service was terrible, we waiting forever for our food and it wasn't particularly impressive once it arrived. Main attraction was the ambiance, great for instagramming...
Went here for the Valentine’s Day prefix menu and it was like a scene out of a sitcom where black ppl go to fancy restaurant only to find the food under cooked and the portion sizes ridiculously small. Ended up at Streets bk soon after for cooked and seasoned food.
Came here for the Valentines Day dinner; was my first time at this location and was originally confused as to where the dining was until I was told it was back towards the kitchen. I was originally impressed with the space as it is surronded by plants in this cool greenhouse like covered patio. Perfect date scene. I knew going into the meal that it was going to be a 4 course tasting menu to share for 120$. You would think that because this a southern restaurant, or known for being a southern restaurant that southern food would be given during the tasting. This wasn't the case at all. The 4 courses were good, but would have been good for one person. If you are going to have a sharing plate, you need to give enough food to share. The main course of the tasting menu was duck, yet there were only 4 pieces of Duck. For a meal to cost 200$ I would like to leave the meal with my girlfriend and I feeling full and satisfied, and this wasn't the case at all. A true disappointment when I was really looking forward to eating here. We ended up have to go to Vanessa's Dumpling House where we spent 10$ and had a more satisying meal. Next time you do a tasting menu, keep with the theme of the restaurant and serve southern food, and please make the portion sizes bigger if you are going to share the plates.
Had been in the past and it was amazing. Basically the regular menu is off the charts. Was in for the Valentine's dinner for two and it was essentially overpriced and alright. Portions were quite undersized and nothing too spectacular for the price. I certainly plan to go back and stick to the regular menu.
Wonderful service. Great food. The quaint, mature environment perfect for any occasions.
Bright, cheery atmosphere and eclectic decor added to the charm of our Sunday brunch.
Worst experience ever. Have dined at loosie’s before and had a great experience. This time around - The service was absolutely horrendous, waitress was rude, food was terrible and over cooked (we were told there was a new chef), dessert came out melted and runny, drinks took an hour. I would never recommend it again.
This is one of my favorite places in Williamsburg. Food is amazing!! Comfort food, intimate setting. Good for casual dates, meet up with friends and family. Beautiful space and nice cocktails. Following your meal stop by the bar downstairs. Just GO!
The food came out very late and the waitress was very rude to my family and girlfriend’s family. The crown jewel of the experience was when my girlfriend found a metal screw in her waffles. We ended up getting the meal comped. But overall it was a very terrible experience on New Year’s Eve.
Such a gorgeous spot with all kinds of options-- the patio and indoor dining area have so much character and life with AMAZING food. The bar in the front is the perfect spot for nightlife in Williamsburg. Absolutely love this place.
Had a great first experience at Loosie's Kitchen. Only negative was that the dining area was really cold, everyone had to eat with their coats on. My pasta was delicious, but also not hot. All the other food and cocktails were great, the waitress was so nice and on top of it and the ambience is really nice.
The food and ambiance were great. I definitely give the restaurant points for presentation. Will definitely return soon!
I had such a wonderful time at Loosie's! The ambiance is green, eclectic, and artsy. The food was absolutely delicious, and exactly what we had hoped for in a Sunday brunch. Service was wonderful. Thanks, Loosie's!
Delicious fried chicken and beignets to die for! Loosie's Kitchen is a fun place for comfort food with a twist. The service was a little slow, but it was a Saturday night, otherwise we really enjoyed our meal here. The mac and cheese and ricotta appetizer were also outstanding.
Eggs norwegian...served with sad salad. Stick with chicken and waffles. Waitress was special. Great ambience average brunch food. Good for coffee and pastries.
Must get the Nutella Beignets. Before 12pm is mostly family so could be loud with kids. Good food, cute ambiance (feels like you're in a greenhouse), and overall ok service (not great).
Food was good, not great. Service was pretty bad. Forgot to bring drinks and food took a really long time for the amount of people there. Very nice ambiance in the place but won’t be rushing back.
Each server/bartender we had, had to apologize for the wait or the poor service.
Drinks tool 15 minutes once ordered, after waiting 15 to order.
We ordered two appetizers and a burger to split--1 app came approx. 30 minutes after ordering and was good. We requested bread with the second appetizer & were then told "the chef insists on toasting all bread, so this may take awhile." We ended up eating the appetizer without the bread as it did take too long. Our "medium rare" burger came out completely raw, and inedible. We sent it back, after being asked if we were going to eat it or not... and then our bread came out.
We were not offered a replacement meal or a drink on the house.
I was 45 minutes late due to a commute that took much longer, and they still took our reservation! They were super nice about it and the food and ambiance were so great.
Service was awful. Our dinner took over 3 hours.
We were not sure of who was the server... service was unsatisfactory. Fish's seasoning was cornered in a portion of the fish as if it was rushed. Needless to say it was bland. Overall an unsatisfactory experience.
Food was amazing and the ambience of the place was so beautiful. The only reason I did not give this place 5 stars is because the customer service was lacking. I ordered the johnny cakes for my boyfriend and I and after 5 minutes our waiter told us they only had 1 left (which I thought was really odd). So I got the johnny cakes and my bf got waffles and chicken instead. We also ordered orange juice. It took a really long time for our food to come and it wasnt all that crowded. The food was amazing but the girl never brought us our orange juice. I didn't make a big fuss about it. when the bill came I noticed they overcharged us about $30. Our bill shouldve been around $50 bucks and they trued to charge us 86. They forgot to take the orange juice off our order and added an extra brunch entree to our order. It really messed up an otherwise pleasant experience. When I brought it to their attention they were just like oh. Let me fix it. Not even a sorry. Great food. Great ambience. Need better waiters.
SO GOOD! I LOVE LOOSIES KITCHEN. COOL SPACE GREAT VIBE
Unattractive, food not good, walked past kitchen, looked filthy
Absolutely horrible. I can't believe we didn't walk out as soon as we arrived. Terrible atmosphere. Atrocious service. The food was nothing special. It was so loud, we had to shout to have a conversation. Oh, and there were people having sex in the bathroom. Classy joint!
