A very disappointing dinner experience. The lighting was so dim that we couldn't even read the menu content, and we couldn't appreciate the food presentation either - though actually, almost all dishes had virtually no presentation at all. The grilled beef tongue was quite burnt, and I almost spat out the first bite. The vodka pasta had no vodka flavor whatsoever, and used exactly the same sauce as the dumplings. The whiting portion was pitifully small, with the potato chips being much larger than the fish itself. Finally, while the menu stated there would be a surcharge for credit cards, they still charged a fee even for debit card payments. I will never return, nor will I recommend this place to anyone. You should absolutely avoid this restaurant too - it's not worth the price at all.

Food was good, possibly not quite worth the money. The set menu of three courses took almost 2.5 hours to get though. It was the longest I have ever been left unattended and unfed during a set menu. Not sure I’d got back but if you’ve got time to spare it is very nice. They’re drinks menu was very minimal, with barely any cocktails, which was quite disappointing.

Nice music but overall volume was too loud and affected dinner conversation. Some of the dishes were slightly too salty but the steak we had was otherwise cooked to perfection.

Relaxed atmosphere, attentive but not intrusive wait staff, and menu choices that are unique, fresh and innovative. One of the most enjoyable dinners we’ve had in years. We’ve been saving this place for a special occasion, but should have treated ourselves to a night out at Longplay months ago. If you’re looking for something different, this restaurant is the Mary Poppins of dining out…. “ practically perfect in every way.”

Amazing food and service, We left content based on the amount of food, with nothing going to waste. The flavour exceeded expectation with every mouthful providing a WOW factor

A great find in a town with plenty of good food… We had a very pleasant evening at the Longplay Bistro this evening. A lovely gentrified building complete with groovy upstairs bar. Restaurant on the ground floor did not disappoint- good quality produce delivered in an interesting ‘favourites’ degustation menu- all dishes were winners! Wine list eclectic with extras including house-made Amari As a Melburnian Longplay offers excellent value & would be booked solid for weeks in my town Well done! And really appreciated the Japanese jazz…!!

All the food was amazing, the vibes were immaculate, and our waitress Serenity was lovely! Overall, incredible experience, will be returning shortly to try the vodka pasta.
