Entries were very heavy for lunch choices especially since we walked the gardens afterwards. No sandwiches at all except a messy sounding smash burger. A couple salads that left out key ingredients in descriptions like greens used, and whether dish is served hot or cold. No more fun beverage specials with decorative flowers or flavors. Hostess didn’t mark us as showing up for our reservation (arrived early & gave her name) even tho the two of us spent over $100 on lunch & wine. Our waiter & staff were very attentive to filling water glasses, bringing food promptly. Just really need better lunch options like chicken salad on greens or as a sandwich. Soups. Hot sandwiches & fries or side salads. Not dinner items that were offered as a lunch menu.

The hostess was unpleasant. The service was slow and disjointed. The restaurant was loud. The food was acceptable but not great considering the price point. It was a disappointment. It seemed understaffed and disorganized. Tables were left uncleared. I watched people be seated and then leave because no one came to take their order.

Our waitress, Tyra, was the best waitress we’ve ever had at Longleaf. Still, my husband’s food didn’t arrive with the other entrees, and when he finally got it, the rest of us were finished. And we had four children with us so the kids were getting antsy 1 hr 20 min in, as is to be expected. Tyra said the chef would like to comp us a dessert by way of apology, and while I appreciated the gesture, I would have rather had my husband’s meal comped. The wait for the desserts added 15 minutes to the whole experience, and by the time they arrived, we just asked them to go. So again, Tyra was excellent and really saved the vibe for to be honest, but we always seem to walk away from Longleaf with a similar feeling of disappointment or underwhelm.

Service was nice but just slow. Took 20 min to get waited on and it wasn’t our waitress that took care of beverages or food delivery. She seemed to be standing at the waiter stand and not clear we were her table. Good was great! Potato soup was fantastic. Good flavor of dressing and beet salad.

Poor service for starters. Waiter was Tyler. He seemed overly busy though kind. Ice teas were empty, request for refill went unanswered and then sweet tea was poured when finally brought. The salmon was served separately from salads which may make some happy but just seemed awkward when they were ordered as a complement to the salads. I have eaten here many times over years and would say that overall the quality of service and food is declining. Staff just seems overworked and hostess seemed more annoyed than friendly in demeanor. Will give another chance…but may start to visit the ABG and go elsewhere to eat. It is not inexpensive and a better overall vibe would be so nice in such a beautiful setting.

Always good food. Cute atmosphere but really loud. Those chairs scraping in that floor makes an awful screeching noise. Really should rectify that horrendous sound. Spoils the otherwise delightful ambiance.

This is always a great bistro type restaurant to enjoy the gardens. My only concern is like so many other restaurants they are understaffed. It was a very busy day because of the flower show and server seemed very stressed. Be kind to these hard working staff members.

It is wonderful to have a sit-down restaurant in the Botanical Gardens. The food and service were very good. The prices were fair. However, the table was all scratched and the leather chairs were so worn they appeared dirty.

I've eaten at Longleaf (and earlier versions) for many years. This is my least favorite, based on the menu, the actual food, and service. The menu choices are very limiting, and the food itself was mediocre. The wrong food was delivered to our table at the beginning. There will likely be improvements in the staff training. I hope that the menu/food improve.

You have to pay to get into the gardens. I didn’t realize this at the time. My two daughters and I were meeting my parents there for lunch. (We live in Atlanta and have been there tons of times. ) Long story short… we paid $90 for the three of to to even get to the restaurant. The food and service are so good that I honestly think this restaurant could compete as a true choice for dinner/lunch. Fresh food. Attentive service. As it stands, it’s only for people who are in the gardens already. I honestly think it would behove the restaurant to offer a validation or credit towards the meal. Cannot believe we had to pay $90 before even stepping foot in the restaurant.

I was very pleased with the service and the food. The staff member that waited on us was very accommodating and helpful in our making choices which indicated a very high level of knowledge about the food. My order of pepperoni and sausage on flatbread was a tasteful surprise. Expecting a fancy pizza, I received a most flavorful flat bread dish which was even better when I reheated it for my dinner.

One of the very best experiences i have had. Cocktails by Karen were on point and our service by Kaitlyn was superior. Our food was top tier. My son had the pepperoni and sausage flatbread which came out piping hot and delicious. My partner had a Caesar salad that was simple yet perfectly dressed and the 8oz filet with mashed potatoes and broccolini which was full of flavor and perfectly cooked. I enjoyed the mushroom risotto and it was the best risotto I’ve had to date. The ambiance was beautiful as the Botanical Gardens had their holiday light show going on. The restaurant is clean, well lit and has a warm home feeling. This place is honestly great for a romantic date or even to bring the entire family in my opinion. I will absolutely recommend and will be returning. Thank you again!

We gave it a try since we were going to see the Garden Lights. It was just ok. The ambiance is greatly lacking, the service was very slow and the food was average. My fried branzino was good, but my wife’s cioppino was average. The arancini was also good. We wouldn’t do it again but was ok to try once given the already planned garden visit.

Enjoyed this outing very much. The restaurant had a different menu than what was displayed online but all was good. The ambiance in the restaurant doesn't match the botanical garden but it was very warm. Food was delicious and the waiter Andre was attentive. I would definitely recommend.

The food was OK, the service was friendly, but the chairs were in serious need of re-upholstering and the other chairs had hard wooden backs and seats and I could not have sat there for an hour. The menu was very limited as well. I don't think this restaurant is normally open for dinner, so they may not be used to that meal. We only went because we were attending an event at the Botanical Garden and it is the only place for dinner in the garden. This is not intended as a "destination restaurant" and it is not one!

Not the best, not the worst. Surprisingly lacking in vegetables and plant-based foods given that's in a garden. Where's the rich leafy greens or tomatoes or fruit? Caesar salad was fine but nothing special. Bronzino over grits was decent but literally had one cherry tomato as the vegetable and a small micro-green garnish. The vegetarian entree was mushroom risotto (technically a fungi and not even a plant). Server was nice but service a bit slow. Kids menu was particularly bad--chicken wings, corn dog, or pasta with tomato sauce. I wouldn't go back. It wasn't the worst meal ever but it's clear they're serving a captive audience in the garden and can overcharge and underdeliver a bit.

We have a great dinner at Longleaf yesterday before the Garden Lights Show. The portions were of good sizes with plenty to eat. We had the whole filleted fish and our friends had the hens. Everyone was pleased with the food and we would come back again before another stroll through the gardens.

Although I generally don’t like fried fish I ordered the fried branzino. It was delicious, with a very light batter and no oiliness. My husband ordered the shrimp and pasta, also very good, along with the white sangria, which tasted great and was garnished with fruit and rosemary. Our waiter Aiden was friendly and helpful. The ambience is always pleasant but was even more so with the Garden Lights clearly visible through the panoramic windows. Prices are very reasonable.
