Executive Chef Jason Paolini leads the culinary creative force of the Atlanta Botanical Garden’s restaurant, Longleaf. Garden Admission is required for dining at Longleaf, the Quick Café or the Snack Bar. The two-level contemporary glass structure nestled next to Gardenhouse in the heart of the Garden, offers full-service dining, a grab-and-go cafe, and a flexible space for educational programs, private rentals and special events. Inside, guests enjoy commanding views of the Anne Cox Chambers Southern Seasons Garden and Levy Parterre, while from the rooftop terrace they drink in the beauty of Storza Woods, Alston Overlook and the Atlanta skyline beyond. Regardless of table, all will be treated to a savory menu by Paolini. The restaurant’s new name is inspired by the longleaf pine, the resilient evergreen conifer indigenous to Georgia and the Southeast and a focus of significant conservation efforts.

We had a lovely meal in a beautiful setting. Longleaf continues to be one of my neighborhood favorites.

I always enjoy eating a Longleaf, as the food is good and also fresh. However, lately the portions have been on the small side. My firends had the shrimp and veggies and raviola and I had the salmon. Normally, we also have soup, but there was only one choice and none of us chose that. It does seem that the cost of the entres are on the expensive side. We were there for the Member Spring Evening.

Thanks,

Was quiet but probably more due to the lateness of the hour. Situated in the Atlanta Botanical Gardens we ate at 3:30 to tour the gardens before they closed at 5pm. Food is good and appropriately portioned. Would like to see more small plates though! Ordered Salmon and it was cooked to perfection, as ordered.

My first visit to Longleaf and it was a very pleasant one. Our reservation was right on time and we were seated with consideration of a good view of the gardens. The food was very good and a reasonable price. Would definitely dine there again.

Another great meal and impeccable service in the Longleaf. We were seated immediately as we arrived, our server did an outstanding job and the food was delicious. Can't ask for more than this ....

All was very good except for yelling children shouting jibberish. Thankfully a staff member finally asked parents to keep the children quiet.

What a joy to have a lovely place to lunch after a morning at the Botanical Garden.
As a vegetarian I was thrilled to find more choices than in most restaurants, and the kitchen was flexible about a special request. The food was fresh, the bread excellent and the greens were like they picked them hours ago. Next time I'll save room for dessert; I saw some go by to other tables and they looked good!

We dined on Valentine’s Day evening. Service pacing was a bit off. Our plates took a long time to be cleared. We were receiving the next course and our dishes from the previous course were not cleared yet. Food was good. A bit expensive but it was Valentines so that could add to why.

Service and atmosphere were great. I had the power bowl, it was delicious. My friends had a hamburger and a salad and my other friend had a salad with shrimp. They both said their meals were delicious. It is a little expensive for lunch but an average price for a nice restaurant in a beautiful venue.

Had service issues wished they would have brought out child’s food out first, that is what we requested. Also took over 10 minutes to get a drink

It was a fabulous evening. We all enjoyed our dinner and then the Holiday LIghts at the gardens. The ambience and service were spectacular and my spouse and friends enjoyed their meals. The only disappointing note was that my salmon was not medium and my food was barely warm. Since we were all there for the lights, I did not send the meal back. We had an early reservation and the restaurant was not crowded.

Our host greeted us warmly, by name. He had reserved a table for us by the window, and a server came by right away. The lights were low and relaxing, as was the music. Our meal was prepared quickly, and well presented, and it was Delicious! During the meal, our server was very polite and attentive. What else can I say, other than ‘Bravo to the chef, as it was a divine dining experience.’

Staff was great. Had a table by the window with nice view. Our server was wonderful and very attentive. The food was very good. I had the carbonara and I'm not sure but the pasta tastes like it was freshly made. Very good. The rest of our diners said their food was very good as well. We will definitely be back.

While I answered yes to recommending, it would come with lots of caveats. Because this is the only full service restaurant in the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, I would still recommend as the choice when doing the Christmas light display. However, despite almost empty restaurant, service was slow and server was not personable at all. The cheese tray and frisee salad were good . The pasta carbonara was awful. It was served as a cream sauce that was heavy with garlic. The flavor of the whole dish was just overwhelming garlic.

While I wish the trout would reappear on the menu, this is a very good restaurant. Given that it is the only place in the Botanical Garden to eat, it is commendable that the restaurant and staff maintain high standards of quality and service at very reasonable prices.
