Shrimp & Grits
anson mills grits, she crab cream, trinity, okra, peppers, andouille
ricotta cheese, peaches, sweet potato chips, beets
green onion, marble rye croutons
Lovely experience out on the patio.
We were disappointed in the limited menu selections. Seemed you had the traffic to have a fuller menu. We would like to see a full menu soon.
My family ate here after the recent reopening. Service was slow, perhaps understaffed. Kitchen made a few mistakes. We are happy to support a place we love. Hopefully the kinks are worked out come our next visit.
B/C of Covid we choose to eat upstairs. Looked unfinished, no view of anything. Asked for second drink 1st had no alcohol. Wife got Moscow Mule, it came in a can. My pasta sauce tasted like right out of the bottle. But the waitress was great.
We ate at Longleaf restaurant on the 4th of July while visiting the gardens.
Great place to eat while at the botanical gardens. We have eaten here several times and it is always treat.
Good food, great ambiance. Located in Atlanta Botanical Garden with garden views. Good service. Note that you have to pay admission to the gardens to access the restaurant.
4th of July family lunch
I always love, either, starting my visit at the restaurant or ending at it. It’s mine and my daughter’s favorite place to visit. When we first moved to Atlanta my then 1yr old and I spent most of our days there. It’s a wonderful environment and having this restaurant here in the middle of it is the cherry on top! It helps that it’s ambience is relaxing and the food is always delicious. I know the pandemic has changed things but I’d really love for the cocktails to come back, I don’t enjoy those caned gin and tonics. Other than that it was almost biz as usual. I’m happy to have you back. Well done.
The food and the service was excellent. I would definitely go back.
We waited for twenty minutes while several waiters passed us, and no one helped us, so we left.
A great way to get away, refuge from a shower or relief from the sun.
The food and atmosphere very sophisticated and upscale. The waiter was pleasant, but his attentiveness and knowledge of serving, needs to match high-end restaurant: He
not noticing that tea glass was empty nor anticipating my need for refill, I asked for refill, and twice forgot to come back for additional refill requests. Also, serving entrees while finished, dirty appetizer/salad plates were not removed! Please do not scold him, or get him in trouble, he has great potential, very friendly, etc, however he needs better training for being proactive, anticipating patrons' needs...... to match level of sophistication. I did noticed that he had tables inside, and we were only outside table he had. Perhaps we were hidden from his view or too many tables for him to attend.... I will return. And I hope to see him there again, with improvement from average to excellence!!!
So happy they are open again. Love to lunch there as a break in our garden visit. The vegetable plate was outstanding and we shared a melon and and prosciutto appetizer.
Ate at an outside table for an early lunch, with safe distances between tables. The service was excellent as was the food. A great, safe experience!
This restaurant was absolutely one of my greatest experiences ever lived it and will recommend to others
Reservation was cancelled by Longleaf due to Atlanta water main break on Saturday afternoon.
The chicken salad sandwich was delicious and the coleslaw was fresh.
greatly appreciated our experience. service was considerate and attentive.
The Longleaf restaurant is a great stop during your visit to the Atlanta Botanical garden. You can divide your time there with a nice rest and a bite to eat before finishing up your visit. I recommend it highly. The menu is always changing so you’re sure to find something delicious.
Wonderful food and service as always!
Great scenery...will be back!!! Walk was long and it started to rain so I missed out on some of the beautiful flower sculptures!
Terribly managed on a Sunday....
This was the most delicious birthday meal i have ever had. Thank you so much I love the Bontanical Gardens Atlanta.
Feels like one of the safer places to have a social experience, lovely food, in a beautiful atmosphere on the patio. Service was great, and while the menu is scaled back a bit, everything was beautifully prepared and presented. Tables are well spaced and it’s the perfect end to an afternoon/early evening at the Garden.
While the menu was very limited, every item that came to the table was exceptional except the fried chicken, which was bland. Don’t expect great service. I ordered an appetizer, salad and entree with the expectation of three courses. The salad flew out of the kitchen and sat on the table wilting until I asked him to put it in the refrigerator until after the appetizer. It sat on a shelf somewhere and was warm and wilted by the time he brought it back out. If it had been fresh, it would have been quite delectable. The biscuits, prairie rolls and creamed corn were some of the best I’ve ever had! I would give it another shot, for certain.
My son and I shared a lovely meal together with great service and amazing food in a beautiful setting.
This is a perfect place to enjoy a nice meal, while feeling perfectly safe during this crazy pandemic. We were able to reserve a table on the patio and were seated with plenty of distance away from anyone else. Our servers were wonderful, managing to have plenty of delightful personality, while still being masked...no easy task when you can’t see most facial expressions. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. A little pricey, but well worth it for the lovely view and great service.
Longleaf Restaurant is a wonderful place to eat when visiting the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. The menu is simple but perfect for a meal in the middle of a forest. And it's a great place to people watch!
We ate dinner at Longleaf the first night it reopened after the virus shutdown. We ate on the covered patio which looked out into the wooded areas of the garden. The fried chicken dinner was delicious and was a whole half chicken! It was accompanied by cream corn, cole slaw and a biscuit to die for. All of the staff wore masks and we had a very enjoyable meal. We strolled through the garden after that and took advantage of Cocktails in the Garden - The Queen of Hearts cocktail was the perfect way to end an enjoyable evening. It was the first time I had eaten at Longleaf and I will definitely go back!
The restaurant wasn’t open. We had to purchase a sandwich at the snack bar.
We had a lovely meal in a beautiful setting. Longleaf continues to be one of my neighborhood favorites.
Please bring back the Prairie Rolls!
I always enjoy eating a Longleaf, as the food is good and also fresh. However, lately the portions have been on the small side. My firends had the shrimp and veggies and raviola and I had the salmon. Normally, we also have soup, but there was only one choice and none of us chose that. It does seem that the cost of the entres are on the expensive side. We were there for the Member Spring Evening.
Was quiet but probably more due to the lateness of the hour. Situated in the Atlanta Botanical Gardens we ate at 3:30 to tour the gardens before they closed at 5pm. Food is good and appropriately portioned. Would like to see more small plates though! Ordered Salmon and it was cooked to perfection, as ordered.
My first visit to Longleaf and it was a very pleasant one. Our reservation was right on time and we were seated with consideration of a good view of the gardens. The food was very good and a reasonable price. Would definitely dine there again.
Another great meal and impeccable service in the Longleaf. We were seated immediately as we arrived, our server did an outstanding job and the food was delicious. Can't ask for more than this ....
Longleaf never fails to deliver. The staff, service, and food are excellent. We'll see them again, soon!
All was very good except for yelling children shouting jibberish. Thankfully a staff member finally asked parents to keep the children quiet.
What a joy to have a lovely place to lunch after a morning at the Botanical Garden.
As a vegetarian I was thrilled to find more choices than in most restaurants, and the kitchen was flexible about a special request. The food was fresh, the bread excellent and the greens were like they picked them hours ago. Next time I'll save room for dessert; I saw some go by to other tables and they looked good!
