Enjoyed our late breakfast. Nice. surroundings. Good service.
Poor service and the food was average. Have eaten here the last 3 visits to Maui but will not return again.
Average food at best
We eat at Longhi's a lot. Most of the time we have outstanding food and service. This time was I hope an exception. We arrived and no one came to our table even to pour water for 15 minutes and then it was because I went and spoke to the hostess. After the hostess spoke with the staff we received good service on a normally busy night. The food was excellent but I did notice that the size of the salad had decreased. We will eat at Longhi's again and hope that it will show that this experience was an anomaly.
Appetizers were terrible with some kind of stem in the crab salad.
After a very in depth discussion on my dislike of cooked tomatoes and an alternative of vegetables proposed and as I believed understood! my fish of the day arrived smothered in cooked tomatoes, not a veg in sight. Dissaponted!! I could have sent it back I suppose but chose instead to scrape it to the sides of the plate, didn't even register with the waiter then when my plate was collected.
The table was in a quiet corner and was ready at least 30 minutes before our scheduled arrival time. The service was attentive and the food was fresh and impeccable.
Our son loves the artichoke, pastas and of course your amazing chocolate souffle cake, so we decided to celebrate Valentine's day by coming to Longhi's for dinner as a family. It was amazing as always, Jeff (our server) was great!
A very pleasant, casual evening dinner with my wife on a vacation trip. Outdoor seating in a relaxed setting. Speedy, and friendly, but unobtrusive, service. Literally steps away from Wailea Marriott beach resort. A quality experience.
Came here 5 years ago and the breakfast was amazing! Today the service was extremely slow, 45min to get our breakfast is unacceptable, at no fault of our great waiter. Quality of food was nothing home to write about either.
Comfortable outdoor seating, wonderful service by Derek, excellent ahi, perfectly prepared asparagus, superb (but expensive) Turley Zinfandel from a Wine Spectator “Best of Award of Excellence” wine list, and to-die-for desserts.
Food was very good. There is a very extensive wine list. Poor service put a damper on our evening.
A nice dinning experience. Ambiance is great. Service is a little slow but very professional. Will definitely return.
I come to longhis every time I visit maui which is 4-5x a year, and always suggest it to friends. I don’t understand why I’m a mostly empty restaurant we were sat at one of the most far away, undesirable tables, staring at the restrooms with noise coming from the kitchen. We have had our waiter before, and he’s not good. I thought last time maybe he was having a bad day, but this time I realize he’s just absent-minded and gives lack-luster service. I live the cinnamon roll (when they are hot and fresh). This time I could tell we got the rewarmed version that was crusty and tough. Other food was just ok, but I think for a $15 omelette you could afford to throw on a scoop of potatoes. Also the waiter forgot my refill three times! I’ll probably come back but next time be more vocal about the issues. At 10am I don’t get how things could be so awry already.
My husband and I went to Longhi's with friends for dinner. We splurged on bread, appetizers and entrees. I had the prawns venice and my husband had the tuscan ribs, delish! Our dinner experience was totally fabulous, the service was impeccable and our bottle of wine was perfect. Although its a splurge price wise, I would go back!
The service was impeccable. The food was excellent - we had the catch of the day with house made pasta as well as a phenomenal fresh fish appetizer.
Food is always and consistently delicious. Portions are great and the service is welcoming and friendly! We especially love to sit in Steve’s area..he dotes on everyone!
Great food and good service! Reasonable price. Don’t pay at those hotel restaurants!
Nice setting and atmosphere. Service was slow. Food was OK. Eggs were overcooked. Price/value was in line.
Although the front desk greeter was friendly, I'm not sure that our server had a personality. He was very unexcited to have us dining with Longhi's. Seriously, not even a "Welcome to Longhi's" or a "Thank you for dining with us". Management really needs to address their staff issues here. No one will return if the service is bad. It was clearly evidenced by the long waits at Tommy Bahama's and Ruth Chris's. Longhi's was dead. Management should ask why or get out of the space.
Unfortunately the food was not up to par. We ordered the caprese salad and the tomatoes were not fresh, the mozzarella cheese did not taste good/no flavor, and the balsamic glaze tasted burnt. Also the bread it came with had no flavor. In addition the drink a friend ordered was not good as well. The ambiance was nice however we did not enjoy the food besides the complimentary bread on the table.
Our dinner was very good and we waited around to have the hot chocolare dessert it was definitely worth the wait.
Disappointed that the restaurant was more than half empty and at 7:30 they had no lobster. What we ending up having wasn’t memorable to want to give it a second chance.
There for dinner after twice for lunch and it was great again. Linguine with clams this time and a great dinner special that ended with tiramisu. Yum!
We were ending our christmas vacation in Maui and decided to try Longhi’s for our final evening. We ordered a bottle of Monsordo Rosso 2008 to start things off, which was perfect and then ordered our meals and appetizers. The Calamari Fritta and Ahi Sashimi was great. My wife had the eggplant parmigiana which she thought was really good. My son and I ordered the Pasta Putana and my daughter ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese. My daughters meal was just ok, however the Pasta Putana was not very good at all. The pasta was over cooked and I have had better tomato sauce from a jar purchased at a grocery store. My son found plastic in his pasta dish and Longhi’s replaced his meal and did not charge us for it which was very professional and appreciated.
I would strongly suggest ordering any other dish on this menu rather than the pasta as you will be extremely disappointed. They need to teach the cooking staff how to cook pasta al dente and how to make a decent pasta sauce and I really believe that this would be a really nice place to enjoy an evening dinning out.
The server was extremely nice and tried her best to make our evening go as well as she could despite the issues we had with our meals, she even offered us free desserts which my daughter and son took her up on.
So so good. Meal deal with pizza bread (yum), salad, entree and pasta (in our case fettuccine Alfredo) was waaaay good and ended with tiramisu! Linguine with clams was YUMMY too. Nice servers and peaceful outside dining was lovely.
Came here around 7:45pm on a Friday night and was seated immediately. They weren’t too busy with the exception of a few large noisy parties. It took quite a long time for a server to come over and take our order, as well as a long time to get our food, but the food was delicious!
