Over priced. Same menu as 10 years ago. Service sub-par.
Excellent Hollandaise on the eggs benny but I’m surprised it was on bread and not toast or an English muffin and that it didn’t come with fruit or hash browns or anything
Service was excellent. Constant attention and smiles.
Service was fantastic , food was amazing, and ambiance was very nice.
Longhi’s has always been a favorite of ours. Great salads and wonderful fish options. Chicken piccata is another favorite of ours.
This was our last meal while on Maui. We wanted something special and were not disappointed.
We had the fish special and it was very tasty. The service was great from the hostess who seated us to the table clearer. Our waiter was also very good and gave some excellent recommendations. We will be back for sure , next time on Maui.
All in all, pretty underwhelming. I’ve dined here and at the Front Street Lahaina location in the past (since 1984 in fact) and Longhi’s seems to have gotten progressively more mediocre by the year.
We were very unhappy with this visit. We usually eat here 4-5 times during the winter. It has always been great. This time everything was wrong. Our waitress was not knowledgeable. The bottle of white wine was room temperature. My chicken piccata was a fried breast with lemon caper butter poured over it. The mushroom side was not flavorable and bland. We will not return this year. Maybe next year things will improve.
Went for Sunday brunch. French toast with coconut syrup was great. Enjoyed $7 mimosas. Unfortunately, server was a bit inattentive and bacon was over cooked, which turned what could have been a 5 star experience to 4 stars.
Great food and service!
Lovely location, great food and service
Longhis never disappoints! We had a great meal . I had the fresh catch Monchong Longhi style and wow it was incredible. My husband had the veal and it was tender and generous portion. Service was very good. Highly recommend!
The waiter recommended a specific fish dish that was the chefs specialty. It did not disappoint.
My husband and I travel to Maui every February for whale-watching and almost always stay in the Wailea/Makena area. We have been eating at Longhi's for years now... first in Lahaina and for the past several years, the one in Wailea.
We love the food and service at both locations, but we must mention that on this visit, we had the most wonderful server take care of us on both our first day on Maui, and also our last day before leaving. Her name is Ashley, and we were very impressed by her sweet personality, excellent service, and attentiveness. She definitely stands out as one of the best servers we've ever had here on Maui!
If you want great service along with a delicious meal, definitely ask for Ashley at Longhi's Wailea... you won't be disappointed!
Vacation in Maui
Dinner was delicious and our waiter was very personable and funny. Ambience is very nice!
Fish was ok, service at beginning was very hurried, we joked that the bill would be coming before we finished our entré.
Then we had to wave our server for a second round of drinks. The bd boy ordered fish of the day and then ask for a side dish of spinach and a dish of cauliflower. We were a little surprised to see that his fish dish came with spinach. Had we known that we would have ordered an other side dish.
Save your money and splurge at Mama’s fish house- if you can get a reservation.
Enjoyed our late breakfast. Nice. surroundings. Good service.
Poor service and the food was average. Have eaten here the last 3 visits to Maui but will not return again.
Average food at best
We eat at Longhi's a lot. Most of the time we have outstanding food and service. This time was I hope an exception. We arrived and no one came to our table even to pour water for 15 minutes and then it was because I went and spoke to the hostess. After the hostess spoke with the staff we received good service on a normally busy night. The food was excellent but I did notice that the size of the salad had decreased. We will eat at Longhi's again and hope that it will show that this experience was an anomaly.
Appetizers were terrible with some kind of stem in the crab salad.
After a very in depth discussion on my dislike of cooked tomatoes and an alternative of vegetables proposed and as I believed understood! my fish of the day arrived smothered in cooked tomatoes, not a veg in sight. Dissaponted!! I could have sent it back I suppose but chose instead to scrape it to the sides of the plate, didn't even register with the waiter then when my plate was collected.
The table was in a quiet corner and was ready at least 30 minutes before our scheduled arrival time. The service was attentive and the food was fresh and impeccable.
Our son loves the artichoke, pastas and of course your amazing chocolate souffle cake, so we decided to celebrate Valentine's day by coming to Longhi's for dinner as a family. It was amazing as always, Jeff (our server) was great!
A very pleasant, casual evening dinner with my wife on a vacation trip. Outdoor seating in a relaxed setting. Speedy, and friendly, but unobtrusive, service. Literally steps away from Wailea Marriott beach resort. A quality experience.
Came here 5 years ago and the breakfast was amazing! Today the service was extremely slow, 45min to get our breakfast is unacceptable, at no fault of our great waiter. Quality of food was nothing home to write about either.
Comfortable outdoor seating, wonderful service by Derek, excellent ahi, perfectly prepared asparagus, superb (but expensive) Turley Zinfandel from a Wine Spectator “Best of Award of Excellence” wine list, and to-die-for desserts.
Food was very good. There is a very extensive wine list. Poor service put a damper on our evening.
A nice dinning experience. Ambiance is great. Service is a little slow but very professional. Will definitely return.
I come to longhis every time I visit maui which is 4-5x a year, and always suggest it to friends. I don’t understand why I’m a mostly empty restaurant we were sat at one of the most far away, undesirable tables, staring at the restrooms with noise coming from the kitchen. We have had our waiter before, and he’s not good. I thought last time maybe he was having a bad day, but this time I realize he’s just absent-minded and gives lack-luster service. I live the cinnamon roll (when they are hot and fresh). This time I could tell we got the rewarmed version that was crusty and tough. Other food was just ok, but I think for a $15 omelette you could afford to throw on a scoop of potatoes. Also the waiter forgot my refill three times! I’ll probably come back but next time be more vocal about the issues. At 10am I don’t get how things could be so awry already.
My husband and I went to Longhi's with friends for dinner. We splurged on bread, appetizers and entrees. I had the prawns venice and my husband had the tuscan ribs, delish! Our dinner experience was totally fabulous, the service was impeccable and our bottle of wine was perfect. Although its a splurge price wise, I would go back!
The service was impeccable. The food was excellent - we had the catch of the day with house made pasta as well as a phenomenal fresh fish appetizer.
Food is always and consistently delicious. Portions are great and the service is welcoming and friendly! We especially love to sit in Steve’s area..he dotes on everyone!
Great food and good service! Reasonable price. Don’t pay at those hotel restaurants!
Nice setting and atmosphere. Service was slow. Food was OK. Eggs were overcooked. Price/value was in line.
Although the front desk greeter was friendly, I'm not sure that our server had a personality. He was very unexcited to have us dining with Longhi's. Seriously, not even a "Welcome to Longhi's" or a "Thank you for dining with us". Management really needs to address their staff issues here. No one will return if the service is bad. It was clearly evidenced by the long waits at Tommy Bahama's and Ruth Chris's. Longhi's was dead. Management should ask why or get out of the space.
