There wasn’t any music playing in the background so all you could hear were other conversations
This was a super quaint location that had delicious food from appetizer to dessert! I definitely recommend them!
Everything was sensational...Best food on the Island....Lovely people; and if you don’t know the story about Fred, be sure to ask....
Longhis is always good. Little pricey for some of the simple dishes like spaghetti marinara $21 for a not so big serving, but otherwise good.
Love everything about this place. Simply amazing from beginning to the end!!!
Longhis is tired and has seen better days. It was hot and several of the fans weren’t working and when the plastic screens went down for a passing storm it was like a sauna. The servers were patient and did their best, but we were underwhelmed at these prices.
Great! They made a special point of celebrating our 47th anniversary by making a special chocolate soufflé. We will never forget that!
Completely incompetent waitstaff. To be fair the food might be good but we cannot comment on this as both times we dined here half our orders never arrived, nor did our drinks though they still appeared on the bill. The service here was beyond ridiculous shame as the location and menu have great promise.
Taylor was great... the best breakfast in Hawaii
Wonderful service and very good food!
We were last here over 20 years ago. It was the best place in town for a nice dinner then. Fish tacos for lunch today which may have been the best ever! Great spot with outstanding service.
This is our third visit to this restaurant.
It's quite expensive, the service was terrible and the food was mixed.
We had Caprese salad and the veal Marsala and veal piccante. Both were very well presented and were excellent taste. The veal incidentally was actually authentic veal--one can't say that everywhere.
Out with family and super service and food
Great breakfast if not the best! Incredible bacon!
Asian chicken salad was spicy and delicious
First time in Maui and found this place in a magazine. Made reservations. Outstanding food, exceptional service and soending some time with John, the manager, the best. Especially his dog story and seeing his pictures with George and Stevie. He also spent some time at our table making sure all was great and telling us the history of the area and restaurant. Loved it.
this was our last night in Lahaina, we did not have a good experience. Wish we would have picked a different restaurant. service was not good, server did not order our soufflés when we ordered them, when we asked about them he failed to mention that he didn't order them in sufficient time and left us sitting at the table with cold coffee for over 35 minutes waiting. he also charged us $11 for a plate of plain noodles, no butter, nothing when one of our guests returned her food as it wasn't to her liking. These things should have been explained better to the guests. This is an expensive restaurant, service should be on par with pricing.
The breeze and view was great!
We hadn’t been back to Longhi’s in many years and decided to return on our trip to Maui. The food was exceptional as well as our wait staff. We will go back on our next trip......
Great food and awesome service
Birthday dinner for wife
Fabulous dining experience; food was delicious and service with Hector, our waiter, was friendly and timely. View was chamber of commerce perfect at sunset
Save your money Food not very good. Appetizer was the best part of meal. Pasta bolenaize awful. Two dinners of pasta way overpriced.
Nice dinner. Good food. Great server. Thank you Amy! You are the best!
We have dined at Longhi's every year during our annual visit to Maui and we have enjoyed every previous meal. In the past, the food has been good and the service fine. This year we were seated at a first level table by the sidewalk and it was really really noisy. The menu was ok but my veal piccata was, instead of lightly browned, kind of slimey gray. The fish entree was good.
Both were presented with a lemon caper sauce and gnocchi. The dessert (Caramel Knowledge) was three scoops of ice cream with thin watery caramel sauce drizzled over it and surrounded by cut fruits (blueberries, strawberries, bananas, and some kind of melon). There was a sprinkle of chopped Macadamia. Our primary server was...kind of hyper. Admittedly we dined early (5:30) but it was very much as if the second team was in the kitchen and on the floor. We will give Longhi's another try at a later dining time and up on the second floor.
Typically we really enjoy Longhi’s. This particular evening however, the service was horrible and the food was mediocre.
At the recommendation of our Hana tour guide we tried the Lobster Longhi. While the experience was very enjoyable, the dish left a bit to be desired. The lobster was tough and none of the other seafood items on the plate were particularly tasty. The linguine and sauce were very good. It was plenty of food for four of us, but left us disappointed. We did enjoy our desserts and the service was excellent.
We’ve been going here on all our hawaii trips twice a year for 20 years. The menu changes from time to time and one of our favorite vegetable plates was removed some time ago. They’ve typically still been able to make it if you ask nicely. This year they supposedly couldn’t make it but had a similar dish that the server described as plain cauliflower with some herbs and capers. The cauliflower came and was very spicy; we didn’t like it and the server was unbelievably rude when we explained why we didn’t like it (AFTER she asked because the side plate was still full at the end of the meal). The server became very snippy and presented us with a check without asking if we wanted dessert. Our drinks had also been empty for 30 minutes. Not pleased and won’t be coming back as frequently on future trips.
was a very good meal and great service. last time was a disappointment. This time it was much better and a lot like Longhi's of old.
Been here in the past and had good experiences. This time left a lot to be desired. Ordered apps, dinners and kids meals. Apps came out, dinners came out but one was wrong. Server realized it was her mistake and said she'd get the right one out, asked about the kids meals and said they were coming. Corrected entree comes out a while later, still no kids meals, so we ask again. They finally come out once all the adults had eaten, the mac and cheese was good, but shouldn't take upwards of an hour. A single server seemed to be serving all of downstairs and was probably covering too much, which is more a management issue. And kitchen execution with the kids meals coming out way late, not good. Too expensive for what it is now.
Todo el personal es excelente. Muy amables, simpáticos y cordiales. Pero el nivel de la comida no es bueno. Es de restaurant de cadena y excesivamente caro para lo que ofrecen
It has been a few years since our last visit. Have to say it was a disappointing visit! Service was nothing short of a diner experience. Server was not all that busy. Brought out 3 of 4 drinks and waited 10 mins for the 4th. Everyone had an appetizer. One salad(Kale) was so lemon infused it was inedible. Asked a busboy who was filling water ( and was attentive) for a Diet Coke and sad told to ask my server.
My entree was mussels. Not good at all. Over done and not at all flavorful. Server asked if we wanted dessert while 2 people were still eating their entrees. All in all a terrible decision to go there. They certainly seem to be living on their laurels and prime location with training and attention to detail a thing of the past.
I’ve been going to Longhi’s Lahaina for over 33 years, multiple times every trip every year. While higher priced I always thought the quality was worth it but not this time. The steak was over cooked, our waitress had the salads wrong and then totally forgot our side dish. We asked for beverage refills multiple times before ever getting one. The bus boy cleared our appetizer plates and asked if we wanted to see a dessert menu before we’d even eaten and there were only 2 tables of people. Very disappointed.
Great food, nice view
Amy was a spectacular server. Friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and restaurant. Views were amazing. All the staff were fantastic. It’s the 2nd oldest restaurant in Maui. I would definitely recommend it!!
Never disappoints! But the live music was a little loud
Seated upstairs. Service impeccable. Music wonderful. HIGHLY recommend. Will definitely return.
My husband and I were on our honeymoon and found a review of this place in a tourist magazine. Everything was great! Food was delicious, servers were very helpful in helping us decide what to eat. Service was friendly and genuine. We had a great date night.
Food was excellent. Atmosphere was a bit crazy on Valentine's Day. They did not have enough staff to handle all the tables. I will give credit to the employees that were there, they worked extremely hard to provide good service. Certainly we would eat here again
Horrible we came on valentines day party of 9 first they did not tell us it.was a valentines menu only and it was 59.00 each then they ran out of fish, salad, cheese cake being cathloic on this day ash Wednesday you can only.eat.fish . We had to still pay 59.09 each even though they ran out of.almost everything not.good at all
