Great food and service…drink list was great as well, not too big but not too small. Truffle fries were messy but lovely. Great date night with my beautiful bride.
Great food and amazing staff. They went out of the way to go in detail on menu items after informed of a peanut allergy and even remade a drink when another bartender made it too strong (had to drive, otherwise would’ve appreciated it). Couldn’t have been nicer and more accommodating. A great overall experience and will definitely be back.
Beautiful space with great drinks and wonderful staff!
We ate here prior to a show at Loeb Drama Center. The food and drinks were delicious and came out at a good pace, leaving enough time to get to the theater. They have the same orange wine by the glass as in their sister restaurant Alden & Harlow!
It took 20 minutes to get our first round of drinks, which tasted like I was ingesting smoke coals. After taking some time, our waitress came to see us again to get our appetizers course. The only thing I can say about the crab Rangoon nachos is that they tried, two large unopened Rangoons where the chip was flimsy to the point of barely being able to cut it and too big to eat with cheese that overpowered anything else. The main course we got two different sandwiches, both of which were so salty that they could not be finished. My final comment is that reviews of slow service do not justify taking food off the stove before it is done.
Great drinks, lovely atmosphere, and the staff were very accommodating to the change of our party size.
Great place to go for a bite after a visit to the ART. Food was great - Shishito peppers outstanding! And cocktails delicious too.
Stopped in for a bite to eat before a show. Food is good, mostly small plates of thoughtful bar food and a couple of burgers and sandwiches on the menu. Crab Rangoon nachos and Thai sausage pigs-in-a-blanket were very tasty, could have eaten a thousand more of those. Great drink menu as well.
Every time I go here I’m blown away! Amazing and creative cocktails that are always changing and being updated, incredible menu that always has some new items on it. Got the tuna over injera which was so incredible and the pupusas which were probably the best thing I’ve ever had at Longfellow. My friend and I didn’t even talk while eating them because we were speechless! Every time I come here it keeps getting better. Highly recommend for a nice but casual dinner out!
A delightful and cozy place to grab a drink and delicious snacks. The upstairs bar is the perfect spot to tuck into the corner and enjoy fabulous cocktails.
Need to improve service
The interior design, vibe, service, and cocktails at Longfellow are wonderful. The food was extremely salty. The menu is limited, but also my party wasn't excited to try most of the options. Longfellow is great for a night out with friends or date night drinks and chips (the potato chips are excellent) but I probably wouldn't go back for a meal.
Nice atmosphere but both of us thought the food was really way too salty and we did not order the same thing
The drinks are interesting although the execution can be hit and miss. Quite a few food items are way too salt like the waffle fries and the chicken sando.
Great food but inattentive service
Cocktails were well crafted
It's a beautiful restaurant, and the service is great! The food is just a little "too much". For each dish we tried, there seemed to be 1 or 2 ingredients that if omitted, the dish would have tasted much better. (We tried the pretzel, the crab nachos, and the messy fries.) The one exception were the burgers, but they were a bit too buttery (the bottom bun was soaked). Also, the place had a strange smell. Maybe it's just coming from some of the seafood dishes that they make, so not sure they can fix that. Also, others who appreciate seafood more may not find the smell as irritating.
We were a little disappointed that the manager did not notice two patrons who were speaking on their phone with speakerphone on. The sound resonated throughout the entire room. Use of speaker phone in a restaurant is extremely impolite and disrespectful to fellow patrons.
Will never go there again. If restaurant can not serve a Normal burger that should mean something. Manager is nasty and ignorant. Was stupidly arguing how food needs to be served based on his opinion. Drinks are good thou.
The food and drinks were amazing. The Shishito peppers so delicious that I would go again just for those. But the service was sub-par. I think they forgot about us after we were seated because it took over twenty minutes for them to come and take our drink order… AFTER I had flagged down a food runner to ask if there was someone free to get our drink order. Yet I watched two other tables orders get taken in reasonable times.
This was one of my favorite cocktail spots prior to the pandemic. Unfortunately, I don't know if they cut staff or product quality or both, but the service was not what it used to be and 3 of our 4 cocktails were very poor. My cocktail was almost undrinkable and tasted of oversteeped tea. I'm incredibly sad, because Longfellow used to be a go to spot and I likely won't be returning.
The Longfellow has a great atmosphere: convivial, no tvs, has an upscale sort of feeling. The food was great and came out quickly. The servers and hostesses were friendly and professional. My husband and I made the mistake of sitting at the bar; the bartender seemed miserable.
The staff, ambience, and drinks were outstanding. The food all sounded and looked great. Unfortunately, every dish was way too salty. That was a bit disappointing.
Great food (tapas and excellent burger) - Alden & Harlow kitchen, great ambiance, 2 levels with a bar on each. Outside seating on the third floor porch is highly recommended when weather is nice. Good cocktails and excellent service.
Delicious food, beautiful interior, terrible acoustics. Cocktails were good but not my favourite. Still overall a great bar.
Manager is a jerk and gave my friend the creeps. Server and bartenders are always amazing!
Favorite bar in the area. Killer cocktails, friendly and engaging staff, perfect upscale bar bites.
bartender was amazing and made making cocktails into an art form. the place wasn't too busy so we asked him to make us whatever he wanted and ended up with delicious, off menu cocktails. the vibe is very nice too. would definitely recommend
Space is really nice. Bar food was good but not great (too heavy, at least what we ordered). Service was attentive, allowing for a newbie getting trained. The big problem is it's two notches too loud, even for young ears. Definitely a place you have to shout in sometimes, once it gets crowded. I can respect that vibe for later at night, but it sort of sucked for relaxed conversation with a friend to unwind after work. I'd turn down the music a notch and add some interior design to counteract the domed wooden ceiling (which is super cool architecturally but an acoustic challenge ). Potential is huge for this place, but not there yet.
I love the creativity of the drinks at Longfellows!
Cannot recommend highly enough. Tuna crudo and halloumi sticks were out of this world good.
Birthday party - service was slow
The food was awful. Almost inedible. I expected so much more from the same owner as Alden and Harlow and Waypoint. So much salt, my fingers swelled. I would never return.
The food to me was just okay. We got the fries, chicken sando, spicy flats and Rangoon nachos. Nothing really stood out to us. Drinks were also just okay. I’ve heard good things about Longfellow and I love Alden and Harlow so maybe I had higher expectations.
The food was incredible, the service was personalized and attentive, and you cannot beat the ambiance here.
Isais our sever is always a pleasure! The food here, in my humble opinion, tops its sister restaurant, Alden & Harlow.
Such a cool bar! Must do in Cambridge.
It was a wonderful experience. I love the place, people and amazing services. The lights and decoration around the hall is cool and touchy.
The portions are far too small for the price when we were recommended to split plates.
Loved the ambiance
Very limited good menu but the burgers and chicken were good if not somewhat ordinary. Service was blindingly slow . . . so slow it banged up against the 90 minute rule
