Easily best meal on IOP. Our family makes this a “must” stop every year we come. Highly recommend!

Hostess was allowing walk ins to be seated before customers with reservations if they “could be done” by a certain time. Manager and hostess were thrown a loop simply be having a Door Dash order. I had to wipe my own table down to avoid sticking my elbow in some unknown gunk left by the previous patron. Flies landed in our hair. We waited forty-five minutes to be sat and then waited over an hour for our food. Waiter forgot my daughter’s she crab soup and my salad, but the worst part was that, when reminded, he was dismissive. Our drinks sat empty for over thirty minutes.

The overall experience was lovely, but it was FREEZING and the air conditioning vent above us was dripping condensation on us.

We had a terrific meal. My only suggestion is to make a greater effort to stop the door from slamming every time someone enters or leaves

When arriving at the host stand. They acted as if we didn’t have reservations at 6:45. Then just kept asking me if we would be done by 8:15, i was like you are kidding me lol. Apparently not enough help, took a while to get drinks etc. Ordered oysters on the half shell, chopped a back tooth due to the shell pieces in the oyster. The manager came over said sorry, are you ok. That pretty much sums it up. I have came to Isle of Palms for 30 years and heard so much about the restaurant, first and last.

Food great, service good for the most part. Second time we've been in a couple of years when I had to wait >30m for a table although yes I had made a reservation--not complicated, only 3 people. Watched walk-ins and parties with later reservations than us get seated. Yes I had confirmation, yes I booked indoor seating, yes we were on time. Overall great, just annoying.

We have been coming to Long Island for decades and the food is always fabulous. The service has also been exceptional. Last night we waited for 20 minutes after being seated before anyone came to the table. Immediately specials were told and we were asked for our order. I said we’d first like to have a round of drinks. 25 minutes later we did not have our drinks but could see them at the end of the bar. Our server returned to our table to ask for our order. I repeated we wanted our drinks. This is why I’m writing. Instead of apologizing he blamed the bartender saying he’s was working slow tonight but he’d try to hurry him up. Several minutes later another server brought or drinks. Several minutes after that, the original server brought us drinks. I understand things happen and in fairness the server had at least four tables one quite large. The reason for my note is the dishonesty and deflecting blame onto someone else. I know Terry the bartender from my many visits and he had never been anything but professional and quick
