Long Island Cafe- Isle of Palms
Start out your meal at Long Island Café with one of the restaurant's appetizers like the Maryland style crab cakes or the shrimp and grits. Choose from dinner entrées like the fried flounder or the grilled salmon BLT. If you're not in the mood for seafood, try one of the other offerings on the menu like the burger or an entrée salad.
Simply Fried Seafood
with pickled vegetables
Ate here for lunch, and was very pleased. To start, ordered a Bloody Mary that was nicely garnished and well balanced. Tried the calamari and the large portion was lightly breaded and perfectly prepared. Finished with the fried oyster appetizer- the oysters were fresh, large, and juicy. Again, lightly breaded and sooo good.
We knew we wanted to eat here before we left the Island and we got in on my birthday we have a few of our kids in and wanted a nice dinner. Food, service & friendliness was on point. We are going to try to come back for round 2 with our next set of kids coming in to the Island for fall break. Great addition to the dining at IOP.
Calamari and crab cake appetizers were phenomenal!
The scallops were so delicious and a wonderful portion size. I will be back again!!
Always wonderful! Great service. Delicious food. We go back every time we visit!
Great food but having a conversation was impossible 😎
Great food! The blackened flounder Benedict was a unique and delicious brunch option. One of our party enjoyed the lump crab omlete and the crab cakes Benny was another hit. Fair prices, fast service and nice atmosphere
The food is excellent and the service were great. The noise is ridiculous considering it’s a small restaurant.
Excellent food and service.
Excellent service and great food. I had the simply grilled salmon with cheddar grits. Salmon was perfectly cooked and the portion was all least double. I took half of it as well as the grits and green beans home. Just as delicious the second time. My son had crab cakes. Yummy! Restaurant is casual and welcoming. It’s not fine dining, but definitely what you want and expect while visiting IOP.
The food is better than in the past - was more enjoyable to be able to sit outside and we liked the changes in the menu. Good seafood and I especially liked the trio offered - scallops, shrimp, and flounder. Will definitely be returning with friends soon.
Great seafood and service. Had the crabcakes and a salmon dish. Highly recommend making reservations. Would go back in the future.
Wow, we just love Long Island Cafe. My husband had the sesame crusted tuna, and I had broiled scallops and fried oysters -- wonderful. I liked being able to have one of the selections of the "combo" plate fried and the other broiled--so helpful. We really liked and admired our waiter, Arthur. Now there is a pro! On top of all his tables and very pleasant without being too much so-- and he was busy! It was a delicious dinner and lovely evening.
Ate outside, perfect weather. Service and food excellent.
Great waitress and great sea food.
Best place for brunch in IOP. The egg benedict is the stuff. Wonderful food, service, and good portions. Well worth the drive, I will be back.
Our favorite place to eat while visiting IOP and Charleston. Food is delicious and service great.
Great evening at Long Island Cafe. The food and service were both outstanding. Our table was outside and temperature was perfect. This may be my new favorite spot on IOP.
Always good food!
Best seafood in town. Reasonable pricing for Charleston. We got the soup for a starter. It was so good. Not over ally heavy. I got the crab stuffed grouper…omg! It was the best thing I’ve had. My husband had the flounder and he loved it!!!! Will be back.
Food is always good there. The noise level was as expected since the place is small and always crowded.
This was our third visit to the Cafe in two days. Love the food and service!!
Great food and service every time
Never fails to disappoint. We hadn't been back to the area for ten years -- happy to say it was our favorite restaurant back then and it's better than ever!
Always one of our favorite restaurants!
Food was very good, service was also good. Patio is adjacent parking lot so noise is high and outside ambiance is not very good. Inside is very nice.
Everyone’s fish and seafood was cooked perfectly. The Carolina Sweets oysters were delicious. Crab cakes and She-Crab soup were good. The crab cake crusted grouper and green beans were on point. The only misfit was the cole slaw which was bland and boring.
Service was excellent and the food was delicious!
We made it for brunch this time. It was lovely. The place was crowded when we arrived at noon and therefore a bit loud. As the crowd thinned a bit, the noise level dropped significantly. We enjoyed our meal and indulged in dessert. I thoroughly enjoyed my she-crab soup and shrimp and grits. The Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie is absolutely amazing. Wow. Definitely save room to try a dessert.
Terrific service & good was as tasty as it was beautiful
The service and food was excellent. It’s not quiet, but that’s to be expected from a small restaurant with such good food. If you want quiet, go to a struggling restaurant with no customers.
Good was okay not that wonderful. Flounder was dry. Probably will not go back.
We had a lovely evening celebrating a Birthday. The service was wonderful and the food was delicious. We appreciated being sat quickly and promise to come back!
Bridgett [our waitress] was outstanding! Although the restaurant was busy she took the time with us as we were first time customers to the restaurant. The food was delicious! The oysters were great….the crab cakes were outstanding….the desserts did not let us down….again, delicious. We will make another visit before our time here at Wild Dunes ends!
Bridgette was super busy but did check in with us as needed.
Thankful the hostess (didn’t get name) brought us water and took our order
Real team effort
We’ve eaten here before and always good food/service.
We loved our dinner and even though we were outside with a view of the parking lot, we had a great evening.
We ate at the bar and had a wonderful meal of fried shrimp, cole slaw and French fries. Delicious! We will be back.
Always good! Both the Cafe and the Raw Bar offer great food, friendly staff and happy, energetic customers. Seating along the wall is fun….when the folks on one or both sides join in the conversation. Enjoy.
We actually live at Kiawah Is. and still drive 45 min. to eat at LIC. Sure wish you’d open one on John’s Island.
The food was amazing, the service was really good and you get amazing quality for the price. I recommend anyone to try this place
