Only way to reserve a table is by using OpenTable. Only availability was for 9:30pm when reserving 4 days in advance. The place was empty, and according to the manager we could have been seated much sooner.

Their steak is only cooked rare, even when you send it back.

In my opinion you can get much better food other places for less money. I really was not impressed

We had a good time. It was a nice casual atmosphere.

This was our first dinner out in 13 months and it was an excellent choice. The service was spectacular, excellent cocktails, and the steaks are always extremely good.

Server made me feel like I was an inconvenience to her. Our table was right above the men’s restroom and you can smell the crap coming through the cracks in the floor. I ordered my elk loin medium rare because that’s what I was told the chef recommended but when it came out, it was well done. I will not be coming back.

Enjoyed our anniversary dinner very much. The whole overall experience was a pleasure. Our server Will was very helpful, attentive, and very patient with all our questions as well as very knowledgeable of the menu.
The food was amazing with the exception of the crab cake. It tasted like every other restaurant crab cake. Which really surprised me considering the beautiful presentation & taste of everything else.

Our server was amazing, unfortunately I’m a jerk and can’t remember her name. What was also really nice was the server we had in January remembered us as well. Love coming here because the food, the atmosphere, and the service is phenomenal. Always recommend checking this restaurant out to friends and family.

The food and service were fantastic. Our server was very helpful and informative. The timing of our courses was exceptional. We did not feel rushed, we were able to enjoy our dinner. The elk and beef tenderloin were melt in your mouth delicious. Highly recommend.

Came for my husband’s birthday, and although the food and drinks were delicious, one of our friends ordered a medium well cooked steak and it came out rare. We were happy with the service afterwards though— the chef came out and apologized and they ended up removing it from their ticket since we didn’t have time for them to cook it more. For that reason, we will be returning. Very good service all around. The one thing we all weren’t a huge fan of, was the location where we sat. It was very dark. I do like low lighting, but we could hardly see the color of the items on our plates. We will request a better table next time.

This was our second time here and we were celebrating birthdays. The first time everything was so good. This time not so much. My husband ordered the elk ribeye and he took over half home . After we left he said he couldn’t eat it it was so tough. He should have sent it back . We fed it to the dog and that’s a pricey doggy bag. My garlic infused fillet was just strange ,that’s all I can say . Didn’t taste like a fillet. Won’t be back. Too expensive for an iffy meal.

I love this place and after visiting, you will too. Come on Friday for their "soon to be famous" prime rib. It is simply outstanding. While you are there, order "The Willie" and drink in the smokey flavor. Our bartender fav is Kallie; ask for her and she'll build your drink to perfection. Come to the "Old City" and stop by Lonesome Dove for a memorable time!

Very pleasant experience, though the room was a little dark. Good food, interesting choices. Attentive wait staff, waiter being oriented was particularly good.

Food is always a notch above the rest in my experience. Service seemed a little off in the details but I will admit I do sort of nit pick. Will definitely return. With perfectly cooked elk on the menu why wouldn’t you.?.?.?!!!!!!

Lonesome Dove provides a quality eating experience with extremely knowledgeable staff that will walk you through all of the dinner options. They have a more sophisticated menu with few simple foods, so picky eaters will be harder pressed to find options. That being said, their food is extremely quality from the sourcing, the portion sizes, and the richness of flavor!

We've dined here numerous times, but had not been in since the pandemic started, so it was great to come back. The food was quite good (my wife had an issue with her main course, that was quickly resolved) as was the service. We'll be back!

Honestly getting ahold of the restaurant was like pulling teeth before they finally called me back about the reservation. When they did call me back, they began to answer the phone afterwards. They also did not respond to the emails i sent asking about reservations. The only thing they seemed to respond to was Open Table. At least the waitress was fun and tentative. The few of us that did come after the massive amount of communication failures did enjoy the experience greatly.

My experience at Lonesome Dove was simply top notch. From the restaurant knowing that I was celebrating my birthday without me telling them and giving me a signed birthday card to the perfect date night ambiance, great service, and outstanding food, this restaurant is on my list of places to return and dine again.

We were in town for a stop over and enjoyed a chance to dine at the chef's table. Meal was superb, and enjoyed every course. Was a good experience for our party, especially since we had children from 14 - 24 (children to us). The staff was FUN and helpful and the food tasted so good. SO GOOD! I didn't anticipate a need to come back to Knoxville for any reason in the near future. Now, I have a really big one. DEE

Swanky atmosphere. Delicious food. Amazing service. The music playlist is abysmal though, nobody wants to listen to Jason Alden and Luke Bryan when you’re on a nice date. Yeah the restaurant has somewhat of a “western” theme, I get it...but this is the music that is played in the lifted truck of a high school kid with rich parents, not an establishment with $150 Wagyu steaks on the menu.

Absolutely love it here. Food is always fantastic! The elk is my favorite.
