The service was great. The hostess stand doesn’t necessarily have it figured out. You can tell they are continually stressed by people arriving for their reservations because things haven’t been timed appropriately.
Food was horrible. I can easily say the worst Mexican food experience we ever had. I was very disappointed. Everything was super greasy and had stranger smell and taste. We left hungry. Margaritas were poorly made, the jalapeño seeds were left inside my cup which made it hard to drink. The only nice thing is the view and outdoor seating
love the view, food was excellent, the music and the ambiance.
Hi, this is a great location with a beautiful view overlooking the beach and there is great people watching. We have eaten there 3 times. I would go back because of the cool setting. The fish tacos were probably better than the tacos al pastor. The margaritas are really strong there. It's a fun place to go. Make a reservation for sure.
Mother's Day Brunch was great. Outdoor seating is beautiful getting to view the beach. The food was great especially the tacos al pastor that you can add anything you like to. The bottomless mimosas, blood marys and margaritas were a hit for our group. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.
It was a nice brunch for Mother’s Day but we needed more options and better drinks. I wanted premium liquor...as I should on Mother’s Day and each drink was $18 on top of my flat $45 brunch, I had 2 patron margaritas . It wasn’t worth all that. I don’t think I’ll return. I’m Mexican and always try to seek out authentic food and drinks. This was close but so touristy and basic. I don’t like being limited. Desserts were very good!
Was really looking forward to the food, based on online reviews. Sadly, it didn’t deliver. I love a good taco, the ones I ordered came with a blob of of what looked like fake guacamole I could have done without. The salsa that came with the chips lacked heat and cilantro, it was pretty tasteless and gave me an idea of the quality of the food that was to come. The rice and beans I ordered as sides reminded me of something I’d get in a school cafeteria. The view and ambience were great, I’d go back for a drink and the guacamole (the appetizer guacamole was delicious) but that’s about it.
We had a great time the staff was very attentive . We were a party of 14 and they were on top of everything.
Food was fantastic. Unfortunately, the restaurant had no knowledge of my reservation, so we ended up having to seat 4 of us at a table that was designed for 2
Third time in the place but I didn’t like the skirt and manager didn’t acknowledge my complaint.
I realize Lona is billed as a nicer restaurant but $60 for a pitcher of margaritas and $13 for a shot of Fireball is excessive. And 3 menu items we ordered were out of stock. That should not happen here.
Setting was nice but the food was mediocre. The fajitas had some weird seasoning on it. The sangria was really heavy and sweet..yuk. The guacamole lacked flavor. The salmon was decent a 7 out of 10. Would not go back:
Staff was not properly wearing masks. Food was adequate but not great. Drinks were the best part of our visit. Didn’t feel like it’s worth the ratings it has received.
Food was amazing! Everything we had was delicious. I enjoyed my Mahi Tacos, as well as the shrimp tacos, but the lobster quesadilla and crab enchiladas were to die for. Great server, super helpful recommendations, kept the drinks flowing. My only complaint was the noise level. Between the music, which was way too loud and the echo in the room we were seated in we could barely hold a conversation with 4 people.
A nice experience but did not anticipate it to be a huge bar eatery. Menu was good nothing unusual or overly creative. Pricing is fair .
Food was delicious, everything that we eat. Tequila was unexpectedly expensive.
Very pretty view lovely waitress food was good octopus with black beans was weird
I would definitely visit again, my only recommendation is to wash the cushions on the chairs. Very dirty.
Had such a wonderful experience here! Our server Ray was amazing and she was so friendly and made our dinner really special. The managers, food, drinks, service, and ocean view were all 5 stars! Highly recommend!!!!
Food below average... was surprised given other reviews. Restaurant did not appear very clean. El Vez a block away 10x better. Was hoping this would be great. We were disappointed.
Drinks were probably the best thing we had. Ordered four dishes to split between the two of us. The carnitas tacos were cold and fatty. Queso was weird and the worst we ever had. Couldn’t find the lobster in the quesadilla. Everything was eh. Server was friendly but spread very thin, unable to give great service. We would not return.
It was fine, queso was a big thick barely spreadable cheese, carne tacos were greasy with a dollop of avocado, free chips and salsa were the best part. Oh yeah, the margaritas were I sane, triple the tequila from the way we felt!! So it was overall 50/50
Food and service were amazing, especially with being so busy. I will definitely return for the lobster quesadilla and the yummy drinks!!
Perfect spot for dinner while on vacation!Loved the food!
The atmosphere and the food were both memorable. I had the carnitas fajitas and my wife had the chicken fajitas. Both were outstanding.
Great food and service. Really loud music.
Creative menu nicely presented. The music is too loud competing with traffic noise making outdoor dining a bit of shouting contest. Never the less, it's worth it enjoy good food and the ocean view. The parking arrangement is also most convenient and easy.
Mediocre food and crowded
Enjoyed the music & beach views! Fun environment. Good food. We especially enjoyed the crab guacamole & lobster quesadilla!
Great customer service great location loved it definitely would recommend
Good brunch for a random weekend with bottomless mimosas and margaritas but would not go for special occasions. Staff are super friendly and food was ok.
Definitely will NOT return for Sunday brunch. Too crowded and buffet not efficient enough. They need more people working the buffet. My party was placed inside all the way in the back in the middle of the section and the noise was unbearable. I prefer this place for a normal lunch on any other day.
Terrible service- no refills for water or even our mimosas, waiter was sassy and rude.
Delicious food ! Great energy and service.
Definitely going back!!!
Went there for dinner on a Saturday night in April with an out-of-town visitor. Started with delicious mojitos (we had them made with tequila, not rum). We shared two items: the most amazing brisket quesadilla and wonderful fish tacos. Lona is right across street from the ocean so great view, lively atmosphere. I’ll be going there again soon.
Loved being outside people watching. Wear sunscreen.
Server wasn’t very interested and didn’t provide help. The food is only enjoyable while drinking, otherwise it mostly tasted burnt and fake. Drinks are alright. But other than that, will not be returning
Yea it’s a no for me, the food was terrible and the drinks watered down
The food was amazing, but the service was extremely lacking. I know there is outdoor dining but we sat inside and were next to the bar and within 5 mins were spoken to by 3 different people. Seemed like management was lacking due to the lack of direction of the servers. Again, great food and would go back, just hoping for a better service experience.
