The Food is great but the service took for ever.
The calamari is a must for an appetizer. Great quality food with a lot of good menu options. The seafood is superb and the service is wonderful.
Lombard's has become a destination restaurant for us. They exceed expectations, and we recommend iy highly.
I was really surprised about this place. The menu seemed like nothing special and the regular fried shrimp/fish and fries were going to be the same old boring things you can get at most places. I ordered the fried shrimp and fries and I don't think I've had a better version. The shrimp were huge and succulent, the breading was flavorful and it was fried just right. I would definitely eat here again.
The food was excellent and prices are very reasonable which is unusual for a Theme Park Restaurant. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Universal Orlando!
The food and service was excellent. Great atmosphere and overall wonderful experience. Thank you Lombards for being a part of our vacation.
The food was all very good but had exceptional clam chowder.
Good food at good prices. The food was very good but our waiter wasn't the best we were there almost 2 hours and only saw him 3 times. Would definitely recommend but hopefully with a better waiter next time.
I had the steak sandwich. While the steak was incredibly tender, the steak was very low on flavor. The other 4 people in my group (they had various bits of sea food) has a similar experiences. Given the price you pay and the fact that they expect you to have a reservation, the food and service should be better. Also, the service was mediocre, If this place wasn't in the heart of Universal Studios, I believe it would have gone out of business long ago. I recommend a different place to eat if you want to have a good vacation meal.
Although we could only get a 3:30 "dinner" reservation, we had a great meal. We were impressed by the daily special offerings and the authenticity of the dishes. Outstanding service from our server, Tony M - a total natural. If we come back to Universal Studios, we'll be back!
Food was excellent but service was slow. Not sure if it was kitchen issues or wait staff issues.
It was a good day. Though they were out of Lobster at 3 PM and ran out of rolls while we were there.. Supplies should be a priority.
The food, when we received it was cold. We waited just over an hour to get our food. The food was over priced--we spent $180, including tip and the food was mediocre at best. The shakes were good.
The sourdough rolls were hot and tasty. I ordered the Beef medallions and they were slightly overcooked (served medium well when I ordered medium) Very moist and tender though. The portions was fairly small considering it was dinner. I have a small appetite and usually need a to-go box for leftovers but I ate the whole meal. It would NOT have been enough for my husband or any guy.
My daughter had the blackened grouper with Quinoa and she liked it.
Most upscale rest in Universal Studios. Very good service and excellent seafood
We celebrated a 40th birthday and the overall experience was outstanding for a busy restaurant.
Our waitress robin was AMAZING!!!
Party of 22 and made it seem as if it were an intimate party of 2. Fully recommend the restaurant and the prices for a sit down restaurant at a theme park were great.
we were a group of 3 people and the taste of the food wasn't good, we can say that the best of the food was the side of the soup or the salad... Also the menu was poor specially for dinner the 31 December...
We ate dinner here on New Year's Eve. We had an early reservation but were able to come back later (11 pm) for dessert and coffee and sit out on the deck and watch the fireworks and listen to the music. It was fantastic!
We ate here for New years eve-- The food and staff are Awesome
Booked for 5pm got a buzzer and told table would be ready in 10 min, 30 min later we checked with reception and they had lost our reservation! Menu is limited, chicken wing starters were cold and stodgy. Entrees steak cooked incorrectly, cold fries and a weird unpalatable potato which my son who eats anything described as plastic tasting ash! During the meal a whole tray of food overturned at a nearbye table and a harassed waitress delivered entrees before the starters were finished and brought the requested water as the meal ended! The manager was very humble and not at all like John Cleese but there was no excuse for cold, poor quality food. Offers of free dessert and coffee or a free meal nxt day were rejected by the kids en masse!
The portion size of the fisherman's basket was small and the price was too high for the size of the portion. Management didn't seem to care and the service was poor. Wouldn't recommend this restaurant.
We went for lunch during our trip to Universal Studios. There are many restaurants with table service there, so we went to Lombard's. But our experience was bad. We had to wait for quite a while although we already made a reservation before. Our waiter was not very friendly. We had to call several times to get our drinks refilled. In the end, he still did not refill our child's drink! Our food was not so good either. Fried onions on top of salad are cold and soggy, it seems that they have been left out for quite a while. Ou steak was almost cold and undercooked! After the meal we regret so much for being there. We'll not be there again!
We chose Lombard's because of the reviews and location within Universal during our Christmas Day visit. We were very disappointed that we were seated on the second level banquet space which lacks the ambience of the main level dining area. We were seated there because the restaurant was over booked. Our server, while very nice and apologetic, was simply not good. She had too many tables and it took 15 minutes for our drink orders to be taken and another 15 minutes for them to arrive and our meal orders to be taken. The food was subpar and expensive. I do not recommend this restaurant and will not return when we next visit Universal Studios.
Disappointed with the dinning experience
Limited menu and vey expensive for the level of food served
Ok. Parks are not the best place to find a good food. But Lombard is above average. Food was very tasteful and the ambience and service were nice. Probably a lutyle bit to loud and confuse, but it was Christimas...
Chose the universal experience dining option and watched the water/fireworks show from the patio. Dessert buffet was a bonus.
I was thinking this would be the best restaurant in the park. We ended up missing an opportunity to go to a better place and spend less time. I was extremely disappointed in the service, it was very slow (and since the park closed at 7 pm that day, time was a premium). We often had empty drinks and sat frustrated as the tables around us received their bread, drinks and entrees ahead of us even after coming in after us, sometimes way after us. It was very expensive for the service we received, and the food was strikingly similar to the Mythos at the other park, so had to order more exotic dishes to get the variety.
This is my second time at this restaurant and it has been great both times. Food is very good, the service is outstanding and the prices are not that bad for a restaurant inside a park.
The service was fine. The menu was limited. Overall, it was just ok. Not a repeat if we make it back to Universal Studios soon.
This restaurant is our family favorite for upscale dining but with a casual feel. The food covers all the seafood options you expect, from lobster bisque, fish and chips to catch of the day. The interior is beautiful with a lobby that is comfortable as well as perfect for picture taking with the water effects... but you won't wait for long. Once inside dine with views of the water and if you are lucky you will be seated by the tables surrounding the indoor larger than life aquarium/tank with various species to observe, requesting this view is worth the wait. The service is stellar and the food is also reasonably priced for lunch and dinner. You won't be disappointed.
A bit disappointing for seafood selections. C- grade. Won't return.
Food was average, theme park food. Service was not good. Ordered gluten free and was served a meal with French fried onions on top. The mistake was not corrected.
We ordered the Lobster rolls, not bad for a park restaurant. They were in a regular hot dog bun instead of a lobster roll grilled bun but were still tasty. The roll was served with coleslaw and house-made potato chips. Overall we enjoyed our lunch. We were disappointed the outdoor deck was not open until 12:15, the morning was still cool but the deck wasn't open.
The restaurant smells horrible which turns you down from the moment you step in. The service is friendly but the food is not tasty.
Everyone knows how sub-par theme park food can be, but this food was delicious! My husband he'd the Beef medallions and he said one of the best he has had. My son had the shrimp and loved them. They were huge! Service was excellent too thanks to Justin! All in all a great experience.
The restaurant was a average and a nice location. The food was decent and price was moderate. However the hostess seated us very close to another couple and I mean very close when there were other open tables with more room? Luckily our waiter noticed that our table was terrible and volunteered to move us. We also had reservations and had to wait even though we were the only people waiting and there were open tables.
It's great place to dine and relax while in Universal Studios. The calamari, Fisherman's Basket, and Black and Bleu Salad are my favorites!
Nice relaxing meal. Service was excellent.
After the hustle and bustle of going from attraction to attraction, Lombard's is a great place to escape to a full service dining experience with great food.
