We are a neighbourhood French Restaurant in Sydney's Surry Hills. We are located in a heritage townhouse just off Taylor Square at the axis of Paddington, Darlinghurst and Surry Hills with a pleasant back courtyard that make you feel you are in South of France, in Provence. Most of the inside and outside decoration have been brough from France in order to give you the best LoLuk Bistro's experience. The cuisine is simply inspired by our grand mother recipe, with love and passion. Feel like home at LoLuk Bistro.

Ambience is great. Food tasty but small portions that would leave you hungry if just ordering a main. The problem was the false hard copy and online advertising: all you can eat mussels and frites on a Thursday night for $29. However, when placing the order for the mussels, we were told they were $39 unless we ordered a glass of wine. Nowhere in their hard-copy or online advertising was there information to warn us about this special condition. When we addressed this with the owner, his response was: there wasn't room on the flyer. He did not want to budge from his position, which pretty much put a serious dent in the pleasure of a birthday dinner. Eventually, because we persisted expressing our concern, and because we were drinking beer, he allowed us to have the mussels at $29.

I liked Loluk and yes I would recommend it. Never go to a new place with anticipation of expectation; that will ruin your enjoyment of the night. The Staff were nice, the Food was good and it was a pleasant experience. I particularly enjoyed the Lavender Creme Brulee. If you have never had Racelette Cheese before, be prepared! I for one, being a cheese lover, look forwarded in attending one of their cheese nights. Nice wine too, no complaints from the wife.

The food was excellent, prefect French cuisine with great ambience. Service was good, particularly given the restaurant was fully booked.

Everything was absolutely amazing! Atmosphere, food, staff! We had the pink duck and the steak for our mains which were both cooked to perfection and still so soft and flavorful. The only thing I would say was that the lavender Martini was a bit much alcohol wise even for a martini. But everything else was amazing. 10/10 would go there again

Charming sandstone cottage. French speaking waiter. Traditional French fare that was very well executed. I had steak tartare and Monkfish in a Provencale sauce . Both were delicious. We finished with a cheese platter which was small but again delicious. A lovely night!
