keep coming back again and again; great vibe, great food, great staff. AWESOME Margaritas.
So happy to know Lolo’s is under new management.
We love the food and had stopped going because of very poor service.
We went for dinner a couple of weeks ago and were completely impressed.
Happy to be back!!
Terrible service. Average food
We had an informal business lunch with 10 people. Food was very good and the staff was very service oriented and friendly. I would recommend this restaurant to friends and colleagues.
Great food and service! Extremely loud on cinco de mayo but rightfully so! Food came out so fast and was delish! Definitely would go back
The music was outrageously loud we could barely hear each other.
Helped is celebrate our 1 year anniversary and treated us like royalty! Than you again a Christian and Alex!
Everything was fabulous!
Great food!! Loud and too dark. Service good but needs more outdoor seating
The worst service I have had in a LONG time. The hostess is great and kept tryin to fill in for our waitress. But the waitress was awful!
South Beach mexican. Best for the bar. Large selection of premium tequilas. Food is fair. Stick with the tacos. Beware, automatic 18% service charge added to your bill.
Great place for Taco Tuesday staff is very courteous..great place to bring friends for margaritas..will continue to come back..
The food isn’t that great or tasty. I ordered a burrito and it barely had any meat in it... just loads of rice.
Nice breakfast spot and in the hotel we were staying in! Not as cheap as others on Ocean Avenue but more subdued. Staff is lovely and they try hard to make you happy!
Had an absolute delightful experience Lolo’s. We were greated immediately and everyone who we encountered were extremely nice and made sure we were enjoying everything. Enjoyed it so much the first time for dinner we came two nights later and sat outside for some cocktails and appetizers. Fish tacos were phenomenal. Make sure you put this on your restaurants to visit during your stay in South Beach!
Service is very slow. Food is average Drinks are premium priced.
Could not be worse. We made this reservation for a party of 10 and a friend made another for a party of 8 because we were 18 friends excited to watch the final of the WorldCup in the so claimed one of the 20 best spots in Miami to watch the WorldCup. We arrive and they had just one TV facing the tables and just one side of us could see it because the other side was facing the other way with no TV and they were right below the only TV. Then we noticed they didn't have the channel but were streaming from an online site and was continuously loading and the worst thing is that the view was from the fix camera in the top of the stadium so impossible to follow the game. The manager was a disaster and careless. He never ensured we could watch the final but just reacted after each complain and had no idea how the streaming worked and how to select the right camera/view. He went inside the kitchen to "fix" something and never came out. After 10 minutes more waiting we decided to leave but the waitress mentioned we had to pay what we ordered so far which of course we didn't eat because we were standing up complaining. She said it was either that or wait for the manager. So we waited complaining of course another 10 minutes without the manager going out until a waitress came out of the kitchen mentioning the manager was not going to come and we could leave in the last act of cowardice of that manager. That's how a party of 18 friends plus everyone else there who were not in our party missed the final of the WorldCup in a place claiming to be one of the 20 best spots in Miami to watch the WorldCup all due to the worst and most coward manager I've ever seen
The host kept saying we didnt had a reservation even though I showed her the confirmation. Waiter services was fine and the Chelada was really good. Food was ok.
Amazing!!!!!!
Half off tacos on Tuesday which was a nice surprise. Get the crab and mango appetizer so delicious!
nice, casual and unspectacular (in a good way) place. awesome food but down to earth. nice change to all the other overpriced restaurants in this neighborhood.
Def was not what I was thinking! Seems like a great place to get a drink, but the food was a bit over priced for what it was.
I made a res for Cinco De Mayo. We had friends in town and we thought it would be a good spot for some Margaritas and Mexican fare. When we got there, the music was super-loud and I knew it would not work for my guests. I noticed an out door table looked like they were just having drinks. When I asked the hostess if she would check and explained about the music, she sprang into action, confirmed they almost done, and kindly moved us to that table. It may not seem like a big deal, but in this town it is. So go, drink and eat and enjoy.
Great casual Mexican
Great place, prices and service. Will definitely be back
Some of the worst service I’ve experienced in a long time. It took forever for our food to get to us, and even longer for us to get the check, and then even longer for the waiter to give us the correct check because he inattentively gave my friend and I two of the same check, even though we ordered very differently priced items. We essentially had to hunt our waiter down time and time again so that we could get out of this restaurant.
The food was hit and miss. My shrimp tacos were good, but surprisingly ungenerous. My friend got what had to be the blandest and greasiest burrito that made her feel so gross that she couldn’t finish it. It’s weird that there’s about a $2 difference between my literally tiny tacos and her massive greasy burrito.
Additionally, and this isn’t unique to this place, but I ordered coconut water and it was $13!!!! Coconuts literally fall from the trees and cost almost nothing. Meanwhile, this place thought their very small coconuts (though delicious) were worth more than an hour of minimum wage.
Overall, this was a negative experience and I would not recommend the service, food, or prices to anyone.
Main food & drinks were excellent, along with guacamole. But the tortilla chips & “salsas” were the worst I’ve ever had at a Mexican restaurant. Great atmosphere for a hotel restaurant.
We went on a Monday evening and it was pretty empty. The food and drink were good. The service was ok. I would love to go back when there is a bit more energy in the place.seems like a cool spot.
Nice place, overlooking the park...good place for a drink and a quick bite...sit outside at night if there is room
Cocktails were too good! Had a few and was very pleased. The food was delicious. I had a salad and added shrimp which proved to be the right choice. The service was great, and the restaurant/bar was a friendly, vibrant environment.
Unfortunately We haven't eaten because they didn't inform us about the Nye menu. They have 2 different menus: 1) menu alla carta or 2) menu for Nye.... but the first one was not available
Enjoyed the pre fixe New Years dinner
One dish was sent back as it was cold, two dishes did not arrive and one dish half arrived - drinks took for ever and no one seemed bothered
So, we've eaten here several times. Always love the food and price point. This evening, I took friends along, but oh no... We were all disappointed!
The street corn was small and not very warm, the kale queso dip was lukewarm, the service was non-existent, the tacos were nothing like we've had in the past, especially the fish tacos, which had the tiniest piece of fish imaginable on the taco....
It was just one thing after another. Normally, at a dinner, you would have time to enjoy 2-3 drinks, but since the waitstaff never came to check on us, we had only one drink... And this was even with extremely slow service! Funny thing though, after all our food was gone, we still wanted another drink ( which, btw... are really good), so we made a deal amongst ourselves... if someone came within five minutes, we'd order a drink, if not, we'd leave. Well sure enough, at this point, someone came right away! So, we had another drink. Haha. Ugh. I hate to leave a bad review, but I'm afraid I do not want to go back, other than for drinks. I'm pretty bummed about it. Even more so that it had to happen in front of friends that we had raved about it to.
Well not too much to say. We walked in and there was no host so we just sat ourselves. We waited for 10 minutes and watched as servers just walked by us and then we left. Not exactly sure how we even got these open table points because no one was there to check us in like I said earlier. Anyways, thanks.
Typical Miami Beach restaurant. Probably will be closed in a month or 2. Let’s see.
In the meantime, if you are looking for free opentable points just make a reservation here because there is zero accountability.
Food was good but portions very small. Music very loud. Service was just awful. Server was very hard to find. Had to wait until we were almost finished to get a drink refill. When the food finally arrived, I got the wrong meal and had had to wait 10 minutes for my meal. We had to get up and find our server to get our bill.
To top it off, since it took so long, we were late for an appointment so we didn’t thoroughly check our bill and we were charged 18 percent service charge for two people. Very tricky. No wonder service was so bad...they get their tip even if they provide terrible service. Never again.
We used to love this place - great neighborhood joint - not sure what happened during the last 8 month - the service was bad
Drinks very poor - watered down - just bad !!!!
Food was still ok - asked for fresh pepper though - got pepper and salt shaker which looked like they were borrowed from room service from the Marriot
The guacamole- very basic! No kick - no love
All in all - very disappointing ! Was half empty on a Saturday night ! So sad that nothing lasts in South Beach !!😪
Originally we were told that the chef used to work for La Esquina in NYC ( which is the best ) I wonder what happened here !!!
Disappointed for a Marriott property restaurant.
Probably the worst Mexican food we ever had.
Ordered enchiladas. You get 2 that look like perogies and are hrs crusted
Mexican hotdog. The wiener is a small one that looks like it came out of a package. You can get a bigger one for $2 at Costco.
Tortilla soup had no thickness. The margarita was watered down. Haven’t had worse. The noise level inside was off the charts so we went outside where they had 1 table for 4. Our total bill for 4 was more expensive than joes crab house. I will never ever go here again or recommend it to anyone. We still laugh about how we got ripped off here. Live and learn. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere.
By the way, I NEVER comment on restaurants. This is my first, but I had to warn others.
I was expecting excellent food based on many of the reviews I'd read. The food was underwhelming. My wife's fish tacos had little flavor. My rib eye tacos were ok, but didn't taste remotely Mexican. The tacos were soggy and barely warm. The rice and beans were ok, but weren't hot.
