Lolita's is an amazing restaurant. The food is always fantastic, and the service is top notch! Last night was even better as they had live music! I highly recommend this as a "must go" often place for a great night out. The casual atmosphere is nice, particularly on a night/day when they can open the wall to the street! The fun aesthetic of lively colorful tiles sets the mood for a great time to be had by all!

The food was a solid B which is not that bad for Mexican food in Richmond. The place is a fun environment even though we unfortunately were seated at the worst table way in the back next to the kitchen, but that was just bad luck and timing. The server however was cold and unfriendly from the moment we sat down. For reasons I do not understand she felt the need to chide us for asking simple questions. E.g., we asked about mocktails which were not on the paper menu given to us and were chided for not scanning the digital menu and looking at them there. After 15 minutes of waiting, I asked after a glass of wine that did not appear with the rest of the table's drinks and was coldly informed that the order had been placed (the distinct subtext being why was I being so demanding). She ruined the outing for us. And the kitchen was just too slow--50 minutes to get tacos up. But I could live with that if we had a nice server. Won't be back.

It took quite a while for anyone to greet us. We were early for our reservation so while they got our table ready we grabbed a drink at the bar. After pur reservation time passed we grabbed the person who greeted us to ask about our table, they said oh let me check amd see if it's ready. They had clearly given our table to walk in customers. Thankfully, the food and drinks were amazing, our server was OUTSTANDING!

Loved the restaurant- noise level was purposefully loud due to live music that night- acoustic with very good musicians. Octopus and watermelon salad ( a special) were fabulous. Tacos better than quesadillas ( a little too cheesy for me- tacos next time!) Beautiful restaurant-we will definitely go back !

First visit for three of us. Promptly and courteously seated. Happy hour margaritas small but tasty. Shared app with chips, delicious guacamole and salsas. Chips a little odd. Got five crispy corn tortillas should have asked for more. Dinner quesadilla with shrimp was amazing. Came with small side salad which complemented well. Service was extraordinary staff worked as a team serving us and taking care of needs. Neat decorations and ambience. Definitely will go again.

Atmosphere and service were amazing but the pork belly appetizer was poorly cooked (tough and inedible on the outside, undercooked on the inside) Cocktails were top notch They never give you enough tostadas to actually finish eating the appetizers that you need them for (salsa/queso) frustrating to be charged extra when you ask for more.

The restaurant beat my expectations!!! I brought my younger brother and siblings here to celebrate his graduation; the food was colorful and delicious. The aesthetics of Lolita's was sophisticated, chic, and still welcoming. Its's definitely a spot to keep on your rotation list.

Love the food, beverages and staff at Lolita’s. The salmon was delicious. I never skip the Queso dip. My friend’s loved the mango margaritas and I enjoyed the wine. Wouldn’t mind it a little quieter-Cary Street is already noisy. I’ll be back and bring more friends with me.

We didn’t know much about the restaurant other than all the very positive reviews. The staff was friendly. We went in for a lunch and it just felt very slow and difficult to get service in a timely manner throughout our experience (and it was not busy). The food in our opinion was going for “fresh” over taste and not much of what we had was very good to us. In our opinion both my wife and my dishes were very bland and not flavorful. The ambiance - It’s definitely intended for young couples and college students as it is definitely not a place you’d want to go with children, particularly a baby, but some people will enjoy that part of it. I don’t intend to say that this place is poor, just solidly not our type of food nor experience. I would encourage open-minded diners to try it out if they like college scene, trendy, adult-only places with trendy foods (avocado toasts-like meals) — but to mature couples and families, I don’t see you thinking it’s worth the near impossible to find parking to go here.

Happy Hour is a great time to go to Lolita's. The food and beverages are delicious and their HH specials are a great value. There was live music the night we dined at Lolita's. The music was very good but It was also very loud and so challenging to hold a conversation. If you are looking for a fun night out, good food, great service and entertainment, this is a great choice. If you are seeking a place for good conversation, stop by before the music gets going.

If you haven't yet visited Karina and her team at Lolita's on Cary Street, don't waste another minute! The cocktails are first rate and the food is fresh, healthy and delicious. This is a "from scratch" kitchen that showcases how "clean" and uncluttered Mexican food can be. A terrific backstory, too, about two sisters who wanted to honor their mother. Just delightful.

It is very hard to find good servers these days! They were proactive and pleasant. -I had to change the reservation and I was on hold for a few min so I hang up. I thought to myself that I would call them back at a better time. They called me actually! -We brought a cake to our friend that just graduated and they offered to put it in the refrigerator for us (we didn’t have to ask). -We were struggling to hang some balloons and the server gave us tape. -The place is very cute. Nice decoration. Nice music. - Food is not traditional but it tasted good. Good value as well. We were a large party and everyone said they definitely will be coming back!

I was excited to try out Lolita’s. I did not realize how loud it was going to be and it made it hard to hear my friends. The food was ok. I had to eat the steak tacos with a fork because the strips were big and hard to chew. My friend liked her drink. Service was good.
