Lolita Fort Point
Lolita is a bustling neighborhood cantina serving playfully authentic interpretations of traditional Mexican cuisine. The dramatic space is dark and rustic, loud with laughter and intimately lit by Murano glass chandeliers, custom stained glass and flickering candles. Bold colors, luxurious leather, graffiti art and a ceiling adorned with skulls are set against an elegant venetian backdrop. House-made flour tortillas wrap flavorful tacos and hand-crafted margaritas grace an elegant, Mexican-crafted bar. The vibrant and youthful ambiance is sexy, seductive and tailored for a night of rebellion and all out revelry.
Always a good time at Lolita
Great food. Great atmosphere. A little noisy for my taste.
Really enjoyed the outside seating, perfect spot for a summer brunch. Good food, nice waitstaff.
Very cool space and dining experience.. the food is outstanding if you love modern mexican fare.
First time, food came out extremely fast and tasted amazing.
From start to finish, three shared plates and dessert took nearly two hours. The Copley Square location can be slow at times too but their servers are always stopping by to check in, but our server never stopped by to ask how everything was at any point. We were often without any water, only ever receiving more water when we asked. When we asked for the dessert menu she almost seemed annoyed. It was a little off putting- I’ve loved Lolita’s for the past seven years, maybe I’ll just stick to the original location.
Outstanding service, value, and quality! My only issue came with making the reservation. I was unable to book the time I requested, via Open Table, resulting in having to arrive a half hour earlier than planned. The restaurant then sat us at a table directly next to the entrance. I will be returning to Lolita, and will be directly contacting the restaurant directly.
Food came out a very different times. Server was also rude when questions were asked due to dietary restrictions
Great experience! Lovely waitress and fantastic dishes!
That was incredible. You all did an incredible job. Thank you so much!
Tanara was an excellent server! My colleague and I really liked the chicken torta as well. Will definitely be back!
Such a great place. Great service and superb food. Love this place. The atmosphere is great. Truly a great find.
Service was horrendous. Had to ask for a waitress to be sent to the table because she was MIA during the entire meal. Had the mahi mahi tacos and it was extremely salty. Disappointment all around.
Our favorite spot in Boston!
No taco Monday specials here but otherwise a great restaurant, excellent for dates and drinks. Pretty pricey.
Once seated we waited for 20 minutes, server never showed up. We sat outside, service was O.K. but there is no shadow and it was very hot and noisy.
Mexican restaurant should have corn tortillas, unlike this one. Soup was served to less than half the bowl.
Birthday party. Hosts and waitress couldn’t be nicer. Sun was setting over the water and couldn’t have been a better night out for dinner.
Delicious food with great decor and ambiance
Small portions but food was great
Been in lolitas many times always have a great experience
Except this time server was rude and anti professional, we complaint with the manager be apologized but after we finish he was seating on a table laughing with the server.
Our server had an angry/mad look on her face that I wasn’t sure if it was part of theme of the place or if it was because she was hating her life for being at work that Sunday brunch. I think it was probably the latter. I hope her week/rest of the month had gotten better. Regardless of that, my only complaint was how poorly they managed an unfortunate allergy that I have. I have a severe shellfish allergy and cross contamination is a big issue, and when I checked with the server about the ceviche, she said that it should be fine but still she was going to check with the chef and check back with us to definitely confirm the safeness of the dish. She never came back to inform us anything and a food runner brought the ceviche; I, of course, didn’t leave him drop the ceviche because I wasn’t sure if it was safe for me to consume, so I had to send the food runner back to the kitchen to check for the server if the plate was safe from the allergen. The food runner stated that the ceviche was safe per chef’s instruction but in a venue like this and the severity of my condition I was expecting at least a manager (Never came) or the server herself to keep in touch with us. I couldn’t eat the ceviche (the other member of my party did) and didn’t make a scene to my server because she was no were to be found and I didn’t feel like having a confrontation on a lovely and sunny Sunday but this incident was very serious and the consequences of mishandling allergies can be severely punished by authorities which I’m sure they are fully aware of so I guess I was that unlucky guest that was assigned to a server that didn’t care much.
Great food! Great outdoor deck! Music was tremendous for a Saturday brunch! Loved every second of Lolita today! Service outside was perfect (Inside lacking).
Lolita skips the ridiculous amounts of food presented in TexMex restaurants and favors quality and taste over quantity. The space is super chic and has a strange feel somewhere between a cocktail lounge and a tattoo parlor. However, the funky vibe and delicious food are nothing if the people aren't super friendly, prompt, and good at making you feel like you matter. What makes this place special is that it delivers on all fronts from an upscale restaurant while not emptying your bank account at the same time. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in the area.
I like this restaurant at night. Not so much during the day. Restrooms filthy. Caked on dust. Not cleaned for months. Surprised to see that. Some of the nighttime favorite items not avail during the day. Frustrating.
Our waitress wanted to be somewhere else other than serving customers. Never a smile and hard to track down.
Love the vibe and the food was amazing!! Plus complimentary tequila app!
It was great!
The guy who took us to the table gave us the brunch menu and left. 20 mins we finally got a server to take our order. Then she cane back and said that the brunch time had passed so we need to reorder. Kind of a messy situation but we stayed bc we were all starving.
They were mindful of our time constraints and were very well prepared.
I've had bad experiences every time I've been to this location. Making a reservation is pointless because they are never on time. We waited 45 minutes for our table before giving up. Other times I've been there, we have had to track down our server to be waited on. I would much rather go out of my way to the Back Bay location in order to get better service.
After a rocky start with the hostesses, our server was lovely and the food really is delicious. I loved my cocktail - a Fresca mojito. It was served with crushed ice which is my favorite. Place gets packed but in a good way. With the windows open on a nice early summer evening, it was perfect ambience.
We arrived early for our reservation. We were seated early after a bit of confusion but was happy to be able to be seated. It was packed for a Wed night. It is super loud. Was a bit hard to hear our waitress. Drinks and food were delicious! Waitress disappeared on us a couple times and one of our main dishes didn’t come out for quite awhile. The food was so good - I’d try it again and hope for better service
Great food. Good service. Somewhat loud and a younger crowd but very fun!
Get the cornbread, guac, and Mexican fried rice!
Service definitely better than on previous visits. Glad to experience this!
Amazing experiencing - our server was attentive! And the food was amazing ❤️
Limited menu for a Mexican place, but really impressed with the quality of the food. Hostess and server were efficient but kind of ‘duds’ personality-wise. Nice decor, especially the bar area. Definitely worth a visit if you’re around South Station or the Seaport area.
This is my favorite restaurant. Both locations are great!
I have to say I am in love with this restaurant. The decor and the detail on everything in this beautiful restaurant is outstanding. The food was incredible and the staff was very welcoming and nice. I will definitely visit Lolita again next time Im in Boston.
Food was good but I got 3 confirmation texts and two emails - all after I confirmed the first time. Totally unnecessary to have that much inbound mail.
It was very good! Great food, great drinks. Just a bit loud but not excessively so. Really, just a matter of personal preference.
