Lolita Back Bay
Lolita is a bustling neighborhood cantina serving playfully authentic interpretations of traditional Mexican cuisine. The dramatic space is dark and rustic, loud with laughter and intimately lit by Murano glass chandeliers, custom stained glass and flickering candles. Bold colors, luxurious leather, graffiti art and a ceiling adorned with skulls are set against an elegant venetian backdrop. House-made flour tortillas wrap flavorful tacos and hand-crafted margaritas grace an elegant, Mexican-crafted bar. The vibrant and youthful ambiance is sexy, seductive and tailored for a night of rebellion and all out revelry.

Very good food served nicely. The noise level was off the charts, and this on a Monday during summer! Partly unavoidable, although being seated next to a group of 8 20-30 year old women out to celebrate something might have prompted staff to situate us in a better place where we would be able to talk with each other.
Love Lolita’s, great vibe and food is good. Disappointed it’s going into tapas. Our server was horrible
The food was the best part. The hostess and bartender were super lame "hipsters" w weird attitudes. Luckily, our waitress was great. The cornbread and the grilled shrimp were excellent. Food overall was a bit over salted but really great flavors.
The service was spectacular, food was great, for 2 of us we just got a bunch of different things off the menu and shared everything.
My waitress was amazing and literally the most patient person! The hostess are always not as pleasant at the location on Dartmouth. The guy who was checking ids was extremely rude and was the reason to ruin my experience.
Great food, great vibes
One of the best meals I have eaten. This is a must visit. Guaranteed good food and atmosphere. An experience you will not forget.
It was our 20th anniversary. We came to Boston for the weekend. Lolita’s was recommended. Everything about it was awesome! Would definitely recommend.
Awesome! Such a fun experience and such great food too!
Was very impressed by the food and decor. Service was slow which was not terrible but the amount of time we waited to have old plates and empty drink glasses removed was unacceptable. We even specifically asked to have them removed and still had to wait.
Absolutely LOVE Lolita in Back Bay. The food is amazing (try the Los Tres Guac) and the cocktails are really good. Apart from that, just being there is an experience throughout the meal: free chips with great sauces, a palate cleanser with tequila at the beginning of the meal, and a great detail with the cotton candy at the end. The place is also beautiful, very dark but a great atmosphere.
Had a great meal here! But be careful, it’s easy to overorder because everything looks so tasty and leave incredibly full. The ceviche is fantastic! This is not a quiet venue.
Came up from NYC to see Moulin Rouge and it was suggested by my sister who has been several times.
Excellent place, great food (if you like mexican), super cozy and we had the luck to be attended by Isabel, the greatest waitress in that restaurant, making my family (me, hubby and 3 sons) feel special!!!
Our waitress was a delight and our food was just what the doctor order.
Everything was great! I’ll be back soon 😊
This is a great place for a margarita! The service is fantastic and the bartenders make beautiful drinks 🍹
Paige was a great server and gave us wonderful recommendations for dinner.
We frequent Lolita all the time and keep coming back for the delicious and spicy plates, strong and unique drinks, and delicious chips & salsa!
This was our first stop on our trip in Boston and it did not disappoint. Besides all the food and drinks being delicious, the atmosphere made for a really cool experience without being cheesy. Highly recommend
We dined at the Back Bay location. The food was interesting, creatively presented, and fresh. The menu options are interesting but not for the conservative eater. Big on specialty drinks. A bit of a struggle with larger groups (we were a party of 6), wait service was a bit inconsistent - the waitress was wonderful, the rest of the staff not as strong and I get the sense the kitchen is a little chaotic - the food comes out as it is ready/prepared so some at the table can have food and others not. This wasn't a problem for our party as we were all sharing/tasting. Its a tapas style service so a table app and two items is very filling. One of our diners did not receive one of the entrees ordered, although another at the table who ordered the same item did. When we asked the serving staff they gave a short, poor answer and never got back to us. When we mentioned it to the waitress she apologized profusely, remedied the situation and did not charge us for the dish as it was very delayed. Spice levels on the dishes aren't always clearly defined but the flavors are clean, the food for the most part delicious and interesting. The grapefruit palate cleanser at the start of the meal is refreshing, the cotton candy provided at the end of the meal as part of the dining experience very playful. Decor is modern goth. Be warned, not the restaurant if you want quiet conversation - this is a loud, hopping venue.
Awesome experience! Great food and drink! Fun time!
We were given complimentary tequila before the server even introduced herself, will definitely be returning!
Fantastic service and great complimentary treats
This is such a fun place. Gothic style and a great vibe. The food was mind blowing. I would recommend this resto to anyone who likes great food and fun.
Lolita is amazing! Great food and cocktails. Definitely recommend.
The tables are jammed in there and WAY too close together. Probably why it’s so loud. You can’t even have a conversation with the person sitting across from you.
Super busy as always but waitress did not seem totally prepared. Was slow with drinks and chip refills. Excellent food though, will return again.
Great meal, cool atmosphere! We loved the grapefruit palate cleanser and the cotton candy.
Not the place for a date it was very busy and their was definitely not enough waiters to handle a Friday night crowd it was very loud and it made even a simple conversation impossible great food and drinks but very expensive I understand it’s Boston but their are so many other places close by with equally as good food and drinks for half the price I definitely won’t be back
Felt menu was too limited (and small plates), Fort Point location has a better menu; we had older people with us and I could tell they did not care for the selections plus what Mexican restaurant does have rice? They could have done better job to bring items out together; ordered multiples of some items they would bring one out and others at table left waiting for the second order of same item. The parking was ridiculous, we were a group of 8 in two cars and paid $42 each to park for just over two hours, avoid parking around here we parked to accommodate the older people with us. Good date restaurant. Also I do not care for restaurants that use Open Table say they can accommodate bigger groups but you cant get a reservation for over 8 or offered ridiculous times.
It was great, go check it out
Today’s visit was short; tomorrow’s will be much lengthier
I wasn’t able to sit until my sister got there. They sat other people without their entire party... We were put at a small table in the corner when there were plenty other tables available and then our waitress rarely came over to check on us. Food was just ok and they didn’t get my sisters drink right. Not sure what happened to this place but I won’t be back anytime soon.
The best food I have ever had! A unique blend of old and new styles of Mexican cuisine.
AMAZING WOULD MOST LIKELY BE BE BACK FOR MORE, i WAS AFRAID TO TRY THE VEGETARIAN OPTIONS AND FELL IN LOVE AFTER ALL :)
I cannot say enough amazing things about this restaurant. It's absolute perfection. The food was incredible and the service impeccable. Trendy-sexy vibe. Just go.
Great space for a romantic dinner or even food and drinks with friends. Amazing drink menu and fabulous guacamole ( get the Especial - lobster guacamole!!).
Waitress was really in a hurry for us to eat and move along so she could get somebody else in there. Kind of irritating. Otherwise it was outstanding.
Amazing ambiance and tasty food!! Service was attentive and drinks were great! Definitely would return
great experience overall!
