Great food and ambiance. Portions were a lot smaller than I thought for “family style”. Other than that, it was great.
Everyone was very welcoming
Server was attentive. Food was good. Fast service too. Problem around the place is parking. They have a vallet which costs 15.
Food was excellent and our server was very kind and attentive. I wouldn’t recommend this place for a date or business meal though - it was so loud and tables were so crammed together that you could barely hear the person you were with. Perhaps request the upstairs for better ambiance.
The food was delicious. Everything was very flavorful..
Sit uncomfortably close to strangers. I was pretty surprised to be seated so close to tables on either side that I could easily hear everything they said and so it was not at all romantic or intimate and was in fact awkward. Our table was also incredible small for all the plates and platters that our meal entailed. That said, the food, wine and service was excellent. Maybe would work better for a group.
Fun, hip place that has excellent happy hour, delicious food and drinks. Would definitely come back and try additional dishes. This restaurant is added to my short list of SF restaurants to frequent on a more regular basis.
Table seating is too close together. Hard to have a private conversation.
The best food ever! shrimp, octopus, rib eye steak was top notch!
Food was amazing! Service was great. Would definitely come again. Highly recommend Spanish food
Food was amazing! Will definitely be back! The drinks were very tasty as well!
Amazing, as always. The quality of the food and service never disappoints.
Overall very good, service and food were great..
Amazing time with a friend. Everything we ate or drank was better than the last. Staff was attentive and helpful. Highly recommend this place and will be going again.
The food was so so and the ambience lacked intimacy.
Food was amazing. Service was slow.
Food was nice but it was so loud we had to shout across the table to each other! Tables were very close together too. Service was a little disappointing but it seemed like a busy night so perhaps that had something to do with it. Food wasn't good enough to overcome the rest of the issues. Wouldn't recommend :(
Great food and great, personal service. But way to loud..
Service was kinda slow, food was decent. It was loud inside.
Noisy and dark. Food was okay but way too expensive. Service okay
Lolinda was absolutely fabulous. I went with two friends and had an amazing meal. It was a little too dark to read the menus and it was a little too noisy, making it sometimes hard to hear. But the food was phenomenal.
We did a bunch of small plates and one entree that was served as a shared plate. All the meats were fantastic. For veggies we just did cauliflower and some peppers, which were equally good.
I can't wait to be back.
I have gone to Lolinda with groups and a friend since they opened years ago but on Friday, the food was just alright ( and get usually get the same things ) ...pollo empanadas where not as filling as in the past and the salad needed more dressing. I asked my waiter to asks the bartender to make a drink that they no longer have on the menu called the Oaxaca Cross and they did not even try to attempt to make it and in the past they have always done it.
Not sure if I will go there again.
Really nice Argentinian steakhouse! Pricey, but worth it, with super flavorful food and an interesting variety of items on the menu. The decor and ambiance are cool, though a bit dark, and it gets pretty crowded so definitely consider a reservation. The waitstaff was attentive, though almost too attentive and grabbed plates away multiple times before we were totally done. The wine list is pretty extensive and the cocktail and spirits menu is pretty good too.
We had the ceviche mixto which was really flavorful with a bit of a spicy kick and really nice quality seafood (fish, shrimp, squid). We also got the flat iron steak (some of the best steak I've had outside of Texas) and the pork chop (a huge piece that had an amazing, almost caramelized crust on it while still being pink and juicy and tender on the inside) and they both came with a great chimichurri sauce. For sides we got the asparagus with manchego (which again had a great flavor with the cheese and saltiness on top of the tender asparagus) and the mushrooms (which was a huge bowl of amazing mushrooms sautéed in what I can only imagine is many pounds of butter and they were amazing!).
Great flavors, awesome ingredients, excellent meat, veggies, and drinks and absolutely worth the price.
Service was very attentive and warm, but room was rather cool, my wife had to keep her acket on. Ceviche had 5 small pieces of fish. Roasted artichoke was so hard, you could only suck on it. Fried yuca saw a little too much oil. Short ribs were good. All in all in our experience: disappointing in both quality and quantity, and overpriced.
Lolinda is my perpetual happy place.
Service was slow and inattentive which was new for us to experience here. Drinks were forgotten, and came long after the starters. Our waitress rarely checked in on us, and we had to ask bussers to get her attention more than once. Luckily the company and food were great, otherwise it would have been a very painful dinner.
Dependeria de la edad y de lo molesto que le resulte el ruido ambiente
Best food experience I have had in the 1.5 years of living in San Francisco
Amazing wood-cooked meats
Came here for my boyfriends birthday dinner. Great atmosphere - quite loud and energetic. Service was great - our host was very attentive and checked in on us frequently. Food was delicious!! Ordered a few appetizers and a main steak dish to share, tapas style. Pleased with my dining experience and will definitely be coming back soon!
Our third visit and unfortunately the food execution was off this time. Both the rib eye and skirt steak were cooked medium to medium well while we ordered them medium rare. The appetizers were on point and delicious. Our wait person and cleaning staff were friendly and helpful.
Slow service. Food just ok. But the noise level is such you can’t have a good conversation without yelling. And u are packed in there super close to other diners.
We absolutely love this place and have taken a number of folks to this restaurant. Typically, we start at the Bar which was no different this time. We had manhattans that were to die for, with a cucumber drink, and scotch. Bartenders were terrific. Our appetizers were spot on with the cauliflower, corn empanadas, and the pork bellies....absolutely spot on. for our entrees, we had the steak and the grilled pork chop which again were spot on and absolutely delicious. Followed by warm churros with chocolate and vanilla sauces....all delicious. Not anything to take home it was that scrumptious!
Service was absolutely wonderful by Javier "UNTIL" the bill with a surcharge for corkage. Of note, we had a bottle of wine from the restaurant not by bringing anything in. This was the disappointment for our table, to have a bogus charge, which was removed promptly when we pointed this out to Javier.
This is the ONLY reason we rated the service a "3" and the overall a "4" otherwise you were spot on. (but you need to know this)
We'd still recommend Lolinda and in fact inquired about an event upstairs with our SFBTC group but we must make sure accuracy in customer charges is done.
Everything we ordered was very good. I would definitely come back. And they had proper tequila.
We had a great experience. We started before dinner on the roof at el techo, which has nice views and good happy hour choices. And then down at Lolinda the drinks were great and unique. I don’t remember the names but I had a variant on an old fashioned with scotch, passion fruit (this was subtle) and chili pepper, and the chili and smoke worked really nicely together. We had the ceviche which was light on seafood but tasty, and the pork belly appetizer which was excellent. The crown of the meal was definitely the ribeye (we split the smaller one by two and it was plenty.), which was the best ribeye I have ever had. We ordered it medium, and the grilled flavor was fully developed and the fat was melted, the richness accentuated by the butter on top and the chimichurri. We had the mushroom side with it which complemented the meat nicely. Highly recommended!
Great, lively spot for dinner and drinks!
Lolinda is a SF Mission mainstay – I hope it is here for years to come!
Very good food and service but very noisy and dark. Next tine i would like to sit upstairs:
Excellent service and of course the food is amazing!!
