There was not one stand out dish and we had eight different things even the steak was lackluster. :( My partner sat facing the open kitchen, which isn't a treat as there is little to see but florescent lighting.
I have been coming to Lolinda for a few years and they have never disappointed until now. They recently changed their Tartar - a delicatessen I looked forward to every time. Needless to say, I will not be ordering the tartar any longer. Furthermore, it seems that the restaurant filters through waiters/waitresses. My last few experiences have been with waiters/waitresses that seem to be training and lack good service. I expect more from a trendy and higher-priced restaurant.
Food was great. Empanadas and steak are great. Price just right. Great price white wine list. Would like to come again!
Not authentic Argentinian food at all. Good food, but definitely not close to authentic Argentinian. Tables are right next to each other so there's no privacy at all, we could hear every word of the conversations of the 3 tables closest to us.
The food is delicious. We were celebrating a special event and the servers were so kind and brought us complimentary champagne!
Okkkkk so! The food was the best food I’ve had since 2019 began. I was in HEAVEN. The milkshake with a lil bourbon in it for dessert was my favorite and the ceviche starter was impeccable. The server was pleasant and knowledgeable as well!!
Food was great, service super slow...we had to get up to chase our server down multiple times.
Leaving bay area dinner
To noisy and cluttered , you can’t even have a personsal conversation without worrying if your neighbor is hearing it . I would not recc if you are looking for a romantic dinner at all . I’m not going back .
I love Lolinda. And I am "afraid" I am not the only one :)) which will mean longer waiting times. But I am of course pleased to give Lolinda my five stars. The staff exceded my expectations by far by being so acomodating and getting my favorite table for us (I am not going to disclose which one ;)
The atmosphere is unparalleled in the city. Even though the restaurant is described as Argentinian, my Brazilian friends told me that the food is definitely Peruvian, and the touch of European ambience is undeniable: spacious two floor salon with a mezzannine, orange lighting, candles (definitely European), rustic tables. In short, a beautiful fusion of different cultures.
Great meal and cocktails! Pretty loud background noise wise but very popular spot.
Very disappointed. Our group of 6 ordered entrees and they were delivered to the table thirty minutes apart. The last person never even got their entree at which time all other dishes had been cleared. When we asked the server, she said it would be out “soon” and offered no apology. At that point, we’d been at the restaurant for 2.5 hours. We cancelled the final entree and left hungry. Extremely poor service experience.
Being crammed in between other diners means you have to yell to hear one another. But the food was so good it kind of made up for it. I’d still go again.
Phenomenal service - mentioned it was special occasion in reviews, brought champagne out upon seating.
Always a great time at Lolinda. The food is amazing!
Place is way too noisy. Can’t even hear yourself talk. Service is slow and they bring food at the table one at a time so one person is done eating and others have not even got their food!
Incredible meats. Pork chop and ribeye both extraordinary. Unfortunately very noisy, perhaps the noiseiest restaurant I’ve ever experienced. Still the meats were worth it
Great food, and really great service. Try to sit downstairs. We sat upstairs and was very loud, and too dark. However, the people working there and the caliber of the food was top notch. Will be back
Too loud too dark hard to read the menu. Way too noisy. But great food and service
Soooooooo loud, even upstairs away from the bar. We could hardy hear one another. Great wait staff. Good food. Parking difficult.
Restaurant is very nice, comfortable a little bit too dark. The food portion sizes are too small for the price. Food taste good but not great.
Service was good
I think El Techo de Lolinda has better food and better price
Amazing dishes, easy to share.
Hard to find parking. Nice restaurant, big menu selection. Would definitely come back very loud great for large groups
Great food and a great spot for a celebration or a date night. We come here every year for a birthday celebration which we indicate on the reservation and normally we would get a free dessert at the end of the meal. This didn't happen this time, but a small birthday gesture would have elevated this review from four stars to five.
The service was really really slow. The need to improve their staffing. My server was so absent another very competent person took the reigns and served us throughout the night. I will give them one more try and see what happens.
A $50 ribeye should not be covered in salt. Meat was of very good quality, but crust was entirely too salty.
It was amazing the Asian host was super sweet and made sure we got a surprise cake for my guest and sent us off with the same cheerful goodbye My guest was amazed and left happy loved the steak and Chix kebab service 5 star always
We loved Lolinda. Great food and fun atmosphere. We will definitely come back!
It was ok, not great. I was really disappointed in how salty the food was. For the price it just wasn't worth it. You don't need to add heaps of coarse salt to shishito peppers, nor charge 9 dollars for them.....
The steak was very tender but again, very very overpriced. If I can get a 1 lb. Waygu Rib Eye from Berkeley Bowl for 28 bucks, I sure as hell am put off by a small steak on the menu for 70 bucks.
It was my first time here for my husband birthday. Our server was helpful and explained the menu. Everything we ordered came out within a good time allowing us to eat and enjoy our company. Food was great and service exceptional. All in all, I'd come back and would definitely recommend this place.
The flatriron steak was to die for, as well as the octopus appetizer. Russell at the bar is great!
We had a wonderful time! Food was delish! Our server was amazing, knowledgeable, fun and professional.
We will strongly recommend and look forward to returning!
Great food and service! Love this place and we will keep coming back
Service was a little slower than what my friends from out of town were used to but it's San Francisco so I'm used to that. Other than that I had a great time here!
I love Lolinda and try to suggest it as often as possible for dinner or happy hour.
Great spot for delicious food and great ambience. This is a lively dining experience, so not for a "romantic, quiet" date. Great for groups, business meetings, and friendly gatherings. Our waiter was *wonderful.* The food choices have a nice (slight) departure from the usual fare in the area (tongue, bone marrow, etc.), and everything is beautifully executed and tasty.
I am a frequent Lolinda visitor. I have come plenty of times for dinner and/or drinks, however the experience for this dinner was less than satisfactory. Our waiter was extremely pushy and did not allow us to order what we wanted. I was informed my meal was "too large" and that we should share. Being that I come often I decided to go with my usual, Estrana and Papas. The serving size was significantly smaller than other times I have ordered. We all had difficulty getting the attention of our waiter, as we did not have water and had to go to the bar if we wanted drinks.
Overall I will NEVER bring a group here to entertain again.
Every dish was good --
excellent meat dishes, empanadas, croquettes and dessert (flan)
Sauce to recommend: chimichurri
We all enjoyed every dish and ordered 6 of them. The services were good.
Food is so good! Service is excellent, will visit here every time I’m in the bay.
