Cuisine inspired by Latin America, Spain and Argentina. Sustainable meats, seven different types of grass-fed, grain finished beef cuts ranging from short ribs to blood sausage cooked over a wood-fired grill. Ceviche and a handful of vegetarian offerings such as a pastel de choclo (squash, onions, raisins, and olives, cooked in a corn crust) and platano al horno (ripe plantains with queso fresco, and jicama salsa). Artisanal cocktails, piscos, tequilas, wine list primarily focused on varietals from Portugal, Spain, Chile, and Argentina including sherry and port. Stellar selection of European and South American beers. Two levels of dining, two full bars and seating for 220 people divided in a mix of booths, tables, communal tables and bar stools. Happy hour: $7 Highball Cocktails + snacks, 7 days a week, 5:30 - 7pm. Open for late-night dining.

Great food! Started with a few small plates, the ceviche mixto and the beef tartare, both were delicious! We ordered family style which I highly recommend! We ordered the plate of mixed meats which includes steak and sausages and shishito peppers, definitely enough for two or three people. We added a few sides, the mushroom and shishito peppers, wouldn’t have ordered the peppers if I had known the meat plate had them too though. Overall great service although we thought it was weird that they kept changing our plates even when we weren’t done with our food. Everyone was very nice and our server was very attentive! Can’t wait to come here again!

Great food and service but seating was a little too close together in my opinion. I know covid is winding down but 2ft apart from other tables is too close. Overall this is my favorite restaurant in the city.

What an amazing find - When we pulled up outside we were a little worried it this is definitely not a judge a book by it’s cover kind of place. We were quickly seated (reservations recommended) and scanned our menus, drinks were ordered and wow!!! (I recommend the easy rider and the Hemingway Daiquiri . We ordered an assortment of appetizers and was not disappointed with anything we received. Definitely a diamond in the rough and will keep this place in mind for my next visit to the city.

Food was great. Server was great. The hostesses, both at El Techo and Lolinda were very rude, not welcoming, no smile, looking at their phones. Acted like our presence was an inconvenience. Luckily we aren’t uppity and have thick skin, but it would be nice to be welcomed into the space in a warm manner. Everything else was great. Thanks to the staff for accommodating us.

First wanted to be seated in main floor and was told no tables available, but there were and loads of empty tables upstairs too. Not sure why my request was denied.
Upstairs is like a cafe room. Think school hall. Just no ambience at all up there.

Service was a little off. Felt like we were imposing or an after thought.

Food. Pretty plain flavor profile. Nicely cooked and plated. Was expensive for quantity. Summary, food was forgettable. Wasn’t a single item that excited. Paid $230 for 1 adult, 2 teens (2 glasses wine).

Desserts were decent. The churros though were fried too much and devoid of any flavor. Just crumby hard fried batter.

We were excited to go, but restaurant flopped.

Wow. This may be my new favorite restaurant in SF. Justin our server was so friendly and helpful. The three of us centered our meal around the shared 18oz rib eye. I make a mean rib eye, but I have to admit the smokiness on this one was better. I could have eaten it all myself. Our favorite small plates were the ceviche, corn soufflé, and empanadas. We had a bottle of Grenache from Barcelona that went so well with everything. Ended with the flourless chocolate cake and ice cream that was to die for. Justin asked if we celebrating anything, and we said yes, so he brought an additional dessert, which was a layer cake that tasted like tiramisu with a candle of course. This guy (and the cook staff) know what they are doing. We will be returning soon, and definitely for my birthday!

Great food as always. Terrific staff/waiter.

Table placement on second floor in back by exit door was a bit much for a 5:45pm reservation for 6 people spending over $600 when majority of restaurant is empty. Did not appreciate that. Yes I do understand reservation systems.
The whole purpose of choosing an early reservation time was to avoid being stuck in a corner. in the back & upstairs.

Not happy at all!!! I Order the Asado for two, the plate that I got basically was two sausage with two little pieces of flap loin, two pieces of short rib. My understanding is that this is an "Angertinan Stake House" and the way they serve my plate and the price.. sincerely I never go back to that restaurant, they still my money and I would prefer to go to an Brazilian stake house were enjoy my food with the price according with what I'm eating. Thank you but not thank you!!

A terrible server ruined our experience…we waited and waited and waited for everything from water to one cocktail to finally getting ur bill. At one point, I went to the bar and ordered my own drink…the manager served us water one time…may have been a rough night for her and I’m sorry if it was, but our bill was 100% and our experience disappointing.

Absolutely love this place! Food is always great and so is the service. Last time I was here was before the pandemic and not much has changed besides the portions. Still great tasting food however I did notice that the empanadas were about half the size they used to be. My friends came from out of town and they absolutely loved the food and want to come back next time they’re in Sf!

I came in on Sunday night as part of a group of 3. We ordered the mixto, empanadas, palm salad and a New York Steak. The food was splendid and the desserts of tres leches and chocolate cake were also very good. What I was not particularly impressed with was the service in the end. As my party of 3 was consuming dessert, our host brought over the check. I found this a little disrespectful. I figured at least let us enjoy our dessert. The rest of our experience was fantastic.

Really great service but the bar tenders in particular were great, showed up early to our reservations and headed to bar for a drink, they were super helpful w drink recommendations as well as dinner. Very attentive and when we came back die a drink after dinner they continued the great service and made us feel welcome

La ubicación del lugar no es bonita, ni buena , puede llegar a ser una zona fea , pero el lugar es muy bueno, la comida es aún mejor y el servicio también es muy bueno y rápido . Pedimos 4 platos y postre todo estuvo realmente delicioso vale la pena!!
