    We brought my parents here and enjoyed the Shishito Peppers & Garlic Yogurt, Zucchini Dolmas, and the Papas Bravas for first round. All were well done, the Shishito peppers ended up being our favorite. Next round we shared the Grilled Branzino, the Lamb Chops and the Manti. Everyone loved the Branzino and the Lamb , especially the aubergine puree that was under the lamb chops. For sweets we enjoyed the Ravani and the Baklava. Excellent food and service. We will be back again soon.

    I love this cozy neighborhood restaurant. The food is excellent and our server(from turkey) was so awesome. Great service and so friendly. Highly recommend this gem.

    I recently tried the restaurant Lokma & let me tell you, it was amazing! The calamari with couscous from their appetizers list was absolutely delicious & had a perfect balance of flavors. It was a generous portion that could easily be shared between 2 people. And oh my goodness, their sea-bass dish with couscous & mashed potato was out of this world! The combination of flavors & textures created a truly memorable dining experience. I highly recommend trying it out!

    The dining room is cozy and comfortable. A casual feel to the atmosphere, yet the service details are excellent. Food presentation nice and prepared well. Our 1st to the restaurant and our server highlighted some attractive Turkish dishes which we thoroughly enjoyed….

    This has been a disappointing dining experience, to say the least... We arrived a few minutes earlier than our reservation and were told to wait standing outside, which is fine. But then, people without a reservation were asked to be seated before us and there were empty tables outside. When asked if they'd sit us, they said they're waiting for a specific table to leave so that we can sit. Weird, but OK, we said. However, it was past our reservation time and we are still standing there, while there's an empty table still. Just as I said, "let's leave if they don't sit us in the next 2 mins", we were seated. I WISH WE'D DONE THAT, because what followed was an overpriced disappointment... The food is not authentic Turkish food at all. We tried these dishes: 1. The spread: very small portions of blandness with a pita on the side. We were asked by the waiter if we wanted more pita. To our disappointment, this was a tactic to add items to our bill. They make it seem like it's on the house and charge without letting the customer know. No place that calls itself a Turkish restaurant charges for bread, and if you do that, you should let customers know. 2. Calamari: Good luck finding the plastic-like calamari - very poorly cooked. You're just paying for a small plate of couscous with tomato paste. 3. Manti: This is store-bought - I'm sure of it. I'd recognize that filling taste of store manti anytime anywhere! You're paying almost $30 for half a package of $10 store manti. Overall, this is a bad version of authentic Turkish food and bad customer service. This was my first time dining here, but my partner had recommended. He was also shocked by the whole experience and thought this place must have changed owners or something... AND, to make matters worse, they canceled my reservation on OpenTable after we dined, probably to stop us from leaving a review. I worked it out with OpenTable to leave this. It would explain why you don't see that many bad reviews...

    The food was good and unusual. For example, the calamari was more couscous than squid, but it was served in a pleasing tomato sauce. I ordered the branzini--a whole sea bass (small), skin, head, and all. The flavor was good and it was fresh, though it did take some skill to separate the flesh from the bones--but it was worth it. The ambience was nice, though crowded. I was too close to the couple sitting on the other side of the low wall that separated our tables--except for the decorative plants between us, I might as well have been at their table. It was my first time eating there so I didn't know to reserve a window table to have a bit more air and privacy.

    We sat outdoors with the overhead heater on. Waitress and all staff were extremely friendly and responsive. It looked like they enjoyed working there. Food was excellent.

    It was a very special night for me and my date. We tried zucchini dolmas, it was my favorite. We tried calamari and manti, fell in love with both of them! Service was so friendly and welcoming, they made sure we had the best date! They were knowledgeable about their wine list, we loved the Lo-Fi cab! Definitelly recommend this neighborhood gem to everyone!

    In all honesty, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for dinner. The space feels cramped, and the food is mediocre at best – even my Turkish friends agreed. Additionally, the service was unpleasant and aggressive. I won't be returning.

    Nas got us the table we were hoping to get and provided excellent service throughout our dinner. A few of us ordered the halibut which came overcooked unfortunately. We'd still return for the other bites and service.

    I've always had good, consistent experiences at Lokma, but last night was different. It started out fine, but as the evening progressed it got worse. It was my husband's & my anniversary and the experience ended up being disappointing. Where we were seated wasn't great, and when I asked to move there wasn't another decent option (right next to a screaming toddler - fun). The main issue was the service - it started out ok, but was slow & once we finished our food, we were completely ignored for about 20 min. Even though the table right next to us was attended to, we were ignored for so long that I eventually had to get up and ask for the check. We had wanted dessert but after a certain point, I was so annoyed that I just wanted to leave. It put a damper on our evening & was a huge bummer. I'll give them another chance based on past experiences, but being that it was our anniversary, last night was a big disappointment.

    Hey there! 👋 Just wanted to drop you a quick message about my recent experience at this place. I have to say, I was initially really impressed with the location and the attractive look of the restaurant; definitely deserving of a 5-star rating in those aspects. 😍 However, my overall review dropped down to 3 stars due to the subpar service I received. Unfortunately, the staff seemed to exhibit the usual rudeness that you sometimes find in SF, and to top it off, the food was quite overpriced. Even though I was trying to be generous, 3 stars was the best I could give. 🌟🌟🌟 Because of this, I've had second thoughts about bringing my English friends here for breakfast. I ultimately decided against it after reconsidering everything during my dinner experience. It's definitely something to think about before making any plans. 🤔 Anyway, just wanted to share my thoughts with you. Thanks for listening!

    We were disappointed by the Lamb Koftas, which weren't Koftas at all but rather small lamb sausages. As well, the halibut was overcooked and dry.

    We love this warm, family-run place that manages to serve elegant and delicious food and yet remain comfortable and homey. The patas bravas small plate is one of the best dishes I’ve had in years. Excellent service and reasonable prices.

    I loved this place when it first opened, one of the first places that have been able to find success in a location that had a lot of turnover. Going back after the pandemic, this is a much different experience. It's become trendy and invites the type of service and clientele that doesn't quite fit in with the Richmond. They've expanded their outdoor seating but haven't scaled up staffing, so the service is slow. Because of this the food comes out cold because they haven't sequenced their dishes with the back of the house. If you're looking for quality Turkish I would recommend Kitchen Istanbul up the road on Clement, or better yet go to Noosh down on Filmore.

    We had a delightful dinner, the Turkish food very good. I love having this restaurant in my hood. My only complaint, and this goes for most restaurants in this city, noise level. It is so distracting to have to concentrate on what your friend(s) are saying, instead of concentrating on the delicious food and ambiance of the restaurant. There is no sitting back, relaxing and enjoying every bite. Probably my opinion only.

    Great food, interesting menu and nice atmosphere. We all enjoyed our meals greatly and will come again. Hoping for more pita bread as the spreads are so tasty. The lamb chops were superb as was the stuffed eggplant. Service was great.

    We had dinner at a nice corner spot. Been here before for lunch when it was very busy, and was unable to appreciate the charm of the restaurant. It was quiet at 5:45 pm when we arrived, but as it filled up around 6:45-7, it got noisier. Mushroom soup was excellent according to my wife. I had the chicken, which was very good. Our friend had the burger (made with beef and lamb). She ate everything. She really liked it. We topped our dinner off with Affogatos, which was also very nice. This is a neighborhood gem.
