Lokanta - Walnut Creek
The subtle elegance with highly personalized attention, Lokanta Grill & Bar offers a magical dining experience with cutting edge culinary techniques in playful and sophisticated dishes.
It is our greatest pleasure to welcome you to our restaurant.
Parties of 8 or more may be able to be accommodated by the restaurant by making an in-house reservation.
Good food but much too noisy, impossible to carry on a conversation across a table for two.
We would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends.
Great food. Personalized service. Nice ambience. Highly recommended!
A wide variety of entrees to choice from on the lunch/brunch menu. We decided on brunch and it was delicious, along with the bottomless mimosas.
First timers, great experience, we'll be back
Food was good. Restaurant was not prepared for our party. Seated outside because no seating available inside. Value is so/so.
Food dishes were a bit bland
The food was subpar it wasn’t the greatest and it wasn’t bad it was just average the service was lacking extremely it was early in the evening for dinner not a lot of people in the restaurant and you would think that you wouldn’t have two as for water and more bread or anything they forgot one of the drinks we had a 4:15 pm dinner reservations and it was only one other couple in the restaurant at the time.
I'd never been here before, but I was very happy with the choice. The food was really good, but the server wasn't truly attentive. However, we survived. I recommend the grilled salmon sandwich.
Great food and service. A pleasant surprise. Love using Open Table. I might not have ever found Lokanta. Can't wait to try their Pleasanton location.
My husband enjoyed the paella very much. I wanted to try something different and had the moussaka. Not my fave. The sea bass with capers looked good and I’d like to try that next. Service was great!
Food = Wonderful!
Service = Excellent!
Ambience = Pleasant!
Waiter/Manager = What a cutie pie!
Food is perfect. The wait staff makes you feel remembered and taught my son how to palm a can of Coke. This place is exactly what going out to eat is about!
Service was great. Calamari was a tad overbreaded and Sole special was a tad salty. Excellent service and grnerous portion size entices me to give it another chance
We were greeted warmly by the wait staff. Our waiter was humorous, attentive, and efficient. Sea bass, paella, and filet mignon were outstanding. Bread pudding that we shared provided perfect ending to our evening..
The server was incredibly funny and capable. The owner stopped by and the visit was awesome. Thank you 😊
We sat on the porch because the inside seemed very noisy. Food was delicious except the coating on the fish was much too salty.
The variety of dishes was good. Happy hour is always good and a nice patio to people watch is a nice way to spend a few hours at dinner time.
Food was awesome like always! Server and bartender were friendly, service was prompt.
Food was very good. Beautifully prepared. Service friendly...a little rushed.
Fantastic as always. The food, drinks, friendliness of the wait staff, always great
Four old people for dinner. The food was very good. There was a playoff basketball game so we sat outside which was quiet and pleasant. The waiter, a very young man, was excellent. He was expert in the ingredients and which dishes met out various diet restrictions. We ate the Paella, Kebob, short ribs, and salads plus a flaming appetizer and some zucchini patties. All good. I repeat, the waiter was great - he made a difference.
Great food. Warm and welcoming wait staff. Good dining experience, but too nosy. Hard to have conversations.
This is my most favorite restaurant in Walnut Creek. Everything in this place is amazing, the food is amazing as well as service. You should definitely visit it.
We were a party of 4 and sat on the patio. I ordered the Paella and it was wonderful! The mussels were plump and perfectly seasoned. The two men ordered the beef short ribs and it was a generous portion and enough to take some home. My friend ordered the chicken skewers and she enjoyed it as well with enough to take home.
The manager seated us and was generous with his attention. When we left, he made eye contact with me and thanked us for coming.
Since we were a little early, we got a happy hour cocktail at the bar and were entertained with the bartender who twirled napkins and did shaker tricks.
We always enjoyed the one in Pleasanton and we are happy to visit the Walnut Creek location now.
Excellent food served by an outstanding waiter. Coincidently happened to be seated next to friends going to see the same show after. All around great!
Pre show dinner. Fit the bill perfectly and was enjoyed by all. The vegan dish was very nicely presented and flavorful, and the Kababs were devoured! Wine special at a bottle discount worked in our favor too
Its on a heavily restauranted block of Walnut Creek and its one of the best on the block [Limon & Vanessa's are the other standouts]. Lovely mediterranean.
We ate on the outfront patio... started with mezze plate - a large portion of tzadiki, hummus, dolmos, pita, olives. - very good.
Ordered a bottle of Hahn Pinot from Monterry and got down to the mains.
Italian Eggplant [ for our Veggie guest, she loved it], braised short ribs, Branzino and Moussaka.
Sides of potatoes and grilled veggies - done just right.
The Sea bass and Short ribs were excellent examples of those dishes and the star of the dinner was the Moussaka! Tender, flavorful, light & sauced perfectly. I had the fish and I almost was going to get another Moussaka for dessert, almost!
Desserts where fine, somethings chocolate, some pastry.
Service was excellent. Overall one of Walnut Creeks best choices, amongst so many!!!
This is my third time here. I had the short ribs and my date had branzino. Both were amazing. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. No corkage Tuesday really helps too. I will definitely be back.
Service, friendliness , and food were all outstanding!
I just love the enthusiasm the staff shows for their food. Service was awesome. The best meal was the short ribs with polenta but all the food was tasty.
Impeccable Service! It was a Saturday evening with a full house but we didn’t lack for help when needed.
The food choices we made were delicious. The bartender is very cordial & enjoys showing a quick flip of the shaker being pouring!
excellent meal every time ... last few times very busy and noise level very high
We dined at Lokanta for the second time. Food is outstanding and, for Walnut Creek, a good value. Its a bit too noisy for my liking, but it was prime time on a Saturday night, so it was not unexpected. Will definitely go back.
The waiter and the Maitre De worked to get us an outdoor spot and then to get us out on time for the theater. The whole experience was perfect!
Delicious shish kabobs. Chicken was very moist and lamb was seasoned just right. Also had the special of the day three kinds of grilled fish. Salmon was great. Sword fish and mahi mahi were a little bland but cooked well. Our family enjoyed our meal. Only downside was the noise level.
Amazing fresh food and wonderful, friendly service!
It was ok, just think that their are a lot better restaurants out there. Very nice people run the place. Nothing special about the food.
Amazing food amazing service. It was excellent experience.Thank you
Our dinner was outstanding. Loved the lamb kebab. But the noise level was over the top and made us very uncomfortable. We will only come back because we love the food every time we come, but wish you could do something about the noise level. We found it hard to carry on a conversation across the table.
