Always a great place for date night! Food is amazing and drinks are top notch!
It was a fabulous evening. The food was outstanding. We were celebrating my husband's retirement with family and friends and we couldn't have chosen a better restaurant. Great overall experience!
I didn’t get to go but set this up for my boyfriend and co workers. He came home with great compliments!
Mediocre food and very, very slow service.
Our Experience was Amazing!! What a Happy Denver Restaurant Week!! Thank You!
Really good vibe. The Hostess' were friendly and patient. The food was very good as well. Filet was outstanding. Would definitely recommend.
Completely blind sided when the bill arrived and we were charged $1.50 per drink for ice! And, that charge was never disclosed when the waiter took everyone's order. This is completely unacceptable. There is no drought here. The next undisclosed "Upcharge" on the bill was in the itemization of the taxes, and the line read "Employee Wage Fund". This charge was 3% of the total bill. Again, never disclosed to us. When researched on the internet, it was explained as some restaurants in the Highlands charge this to help the employees that have jobs which don't receive tips, and to help the restaurants for the increase in the minimum wage. So this gets passed on to the customer, without our knowledge?
This kind of "UNDERHANDED" way of conducting business to put a few more $$ in your pocket is unethical to say the least. There are many other good restaurants in the Highlands area which we will take our business.
The food was great, service was great, and the ambiance was good. However, the music was SO LOUD I couldn't hear my friend sitting right across the table. Would have been a five star!
I’ve been to LoHi a few times and this time my food was not good at all. Steak was chewy and not cook to my desired term, in wondering if they changed chef or meat supplier? I’m not sure if I’ll come back.
It was an ok value. My steak was overcooked, but it still tasted good. A bit pricey for what you get. Overall it was above average.
The restaurant was old school looking in a hoity toity neighborhood. I payed 170.00 for 2 apps 2 steaks which one was over cooked and pathetic brownie that was 1/4 inch thick one dollop of ice cream no syrup no whip cream. Absolutely will not go back or recommend this restaurant
Great service and food!
We will not be back. The service has declined greatly. The waiter (who happened to be our waiter 6months ago) was still very pushy about dinner and oblivious to our talking at the table, trying to enjoy our appetizers and wine. The restaurant was mostly empty. There was no need to rush anyone on that snowy night to order. Unfortunately, his behavior was the same at his other table he cared for. Our oysters were delicious. The crab cake was soggy, no seasoning and slightly fishy smelling.
Everything was great other than the music volume was too loud to hear anything that the person next to you was saying.
We love this place! Our to neighborhood spot for a great filet.
AMAZING always great every time! Best food and atmosphere.
The background music was so obnoxiously loud. The taste of music for a 7:30 reservation on a Saturday night was also not appealing. One waiter was pretentious and our actual waiter was very helpful and nice.
Overall the interior design and esthetic was pleasing.
After a bad experience last year, my friends and I steered clear for a while. But the restaurant asked us to give LoHi another chance and we are glad we did. The food was prepared perfectly and the service was great. We will be back!
Great steak, had the 10 oz filet medium rare. Perfect. Decent cocktails, even the non-alcoholic ones.
We have found a place where we would like to "be regulars." The hostess, upon our arrival, welcomed us like we were her most important guests and the experience was consistently top tier from there on - Our steaks were excellent, priced fairly, and complimented the quality of the rest of our order. Our server was a true professional- the perfect amount of care and guidance. Great experience !
Parking is such a horrible issue I don’t think I’ll be back
Celebrated a birthday there for my first time visiting it’s not a bad place sampled some great wine but they were out at the time the salmon was a great plate the place is a bit dark just a heads up, was also given a birthday dessert but ended up getting charged for it in the end.
I have been there many times. The music, hip hop, was on very loudly and it was difficult to talk to the person I was with. I enjoyed the food, but it felt good to get out the door because of the too loud music.
The crabcakes, the scallops and the NY steak were delicious!
We were very impressed with LoHi Steakbar! We went because it was close to a show we were attending that night and it’s in the Dining Out Passbook. As a vegetarian I didn’t expect much, but their veg options were amazing! Potato leek soup, mushroom stroganoff, and a roasted beet dish. Everything was delicious! Don’t write this off just because it has “Steak” in the name!
Food Excellent, our server....pretty much a no-show. Very disappointing because the restaurant only had 3 tables, no more than 2-4 people per table.
Very noisy Very dark. Waiter well had to find him to get refills for water to get bill and to order dessert
Excellent service and food...
The oysters were great
Creative use of anchovies— fried and in a Romain salad- first time in along time I thought the la carte cost of a salad was worth it —
We’ll be back !!!
Service was excellent and staff very helpful all around. Value was good and food quality excellent. We had an excellent overall experience.
Best restaurant in LoHi - the coffee shop, the bar, the restaurant, the ambience, the lighting. I love it!
Our steak was just ok! We sent it back as it was too rare! It came back and the NY strip had more fat than meat! We probably should have sent it back and get another one prepared.
I don’t believe the quality of the steak should have a price that it had! The value was not there in this night.
Our waiter, Cory, was the best part of the evening! He was friendly, attentive, and courteous!
We were not impressed overall, the food was over priced (menu is a bit misleading. Being a steak was roughly $30.00, than you had to order and side for a additional fee) for what was given and a portion of the food had to be sent back as it was not prepared correctly and it still wasn't brought out as requested. Parking was basically non-existent, we had to park 5 blocks away in a residential area at approximately 6:30p. I could not imagine trying to park if it were any later in the evening!!!
simply put, we both agreed that we would not come back or recommend.
Server James was very good. Very attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. Food & cocktails were delicious, and we'll definitely be back.
The service was great, fun and urban atmosphere without being pretentious. Above all, the food was high-quality and prepared in a way that emphasizes the food choice, and does not cover it up with sauces and toppings. It is our go-to choice in LoHi.
The food was amazing. Our Steak was beautifully cooked and had a great flavor and the beet dish was also a great flavor. (Oysters were good and Mac n Cheese was Ok).
If I was only rating the food this would be a no brainier 5 star review.
That said the service was lacking... I would have been between 3-4 stars but as they came to us and apologized twice for the the slow service I am rounding up.
If you (LoHi) can work out your service/kitchen times you will be a solid 5 stars.
I have been to LoHI a few times and I a never disappointed. The service is always great, the food is always delicious and the drinks are always top notch.
My steak was not good, very tough. Brussel sprouts tasted like someone had used an entire shaker of salt on them.
It was good-but the reason we went was to have their Oysters Rockefeller and although it was on the website-they no longer serve them. Drove a long way...
Great steak, great wine. Really enjoyed this dinner.
