My husband and I just recently rekindled our love of LoHi Steakbar and decided it would be the perfect place to take our parents for a special dinner while they were in town. Everyone loved their food! Most of us had steaks but my mother in law had the prime rib chili and couldn’t stop raving about it. Our service was outstanding, even on a very busy night. Would definitely recommend!
Extremely noisy restaurant. Needed to shout to people at the table for the entire meal. Steaks were good; sides were ok.
Great service and great food. Went for Birthday celebration and staff took great care of us. Can't say enough about attentiveness of staff and manager, making the night special. Food and cocktails were delicious as well.
Had a steak with their LoHi seasoning rub and it was bold and very tasty. Only drawback is I am used to bread or rolls with a meal.
Joe was great!! Had a nice time but pomme frites were a little too crispy.
Tried to seat our group of four in a cramped corner table, literally elbowing the large party next to us.
We asked to move to one of the multiple booths that were open, and from there on our we were met with everything from petty passive aggressiveness to open hostility from our server.
Food was good though and we didn't let it ruin our good time.
Brilliant steak restaurant. It was really busy when we arrived but that did not effect the quality of the service at all. Our server was on point the whole evening. The wine recommendations were excellent and the quality of the steaks and the preparation of the dishes was completely awesome.
Family in town
Good food, not too crowded, good prices for wine. Always a good time here
The atmosphere was great. We were celebrating a birthday, and they certainly accommodated with champagne on the house. My date and I both ordered the same thing - steak, cooked the same way. However, one steak was significanly under-done, and the other over. Overall, drinks were good, food was ok, but the atmosphere and the service made up for it all.
Little disappointed... salads lacked real flavor and steak was very underwhelming. I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately it was mediocre at best.
Great experience here! Went for dinner for wife’s birthday. Food was great, and they went above and beyond when they found out it was her bday. First time here and will be returning soon!
We had a reservation thru OpenTable and we're immediately seated in a booth in the dining room section. The service was prompt and exceptional, our glasses were never empty and the food was delicious (Filet and Scallop combination is a must have!) Considering it was a packed Saturday, we were impressed. Food was exactly as described, executed correctly, tasted great, and visually appealing. I have dined at LoHi numerous times and I keep returning because the food and service is truly impeccable! The owner and his team truly provide a world class hospitality experience from the moment you step into the restaurant until you walk out the door. A must visit if you're around LoHi and Denver in general.
Food was amazing, lots of different cocktails to choose from. Staff was excellent.
Not as good as past experiences. Extremely noisy
Great atmosphere and menu. Steaks were great, sides were "ok" Would go back
It was good. Great steak cooked perfect. Out of some of the dishes we ordered. I did get a free glass of wine for checking in.
Friendly staff, awesome apps, drinks and steak. The Prime Rib Sandwich was rated best ever.
EVERYTHING WAS FINE EXCEPT VERY HARD TO FIND PARKING...
had my 21st birthday here and i have to say it was the best night i could ask for i felt like a princess! i highly recommend the filet mignon with chimichurri :)
Love the atmosphere of the restaurant. Parking was a huge challenge, especially with our daughter who is in a wheelchair - no handicap parking, but I know the manager is trying to work with the city to get this fixed. Food was really good. Burgers were ordered medium and came out pretty rare. Still tasted great, but if you don't like rare, ask for medium-well.
We chose Lohi Steakbar as part of Denver Restaurant Week and also to celebrate our friends' 20 year wedding Anniversary. Two of us arrived early and decided to have cocktails whilst waiting for the other 4 guests. Both my Sidecar and my friend's Shady lady were delicious as well as the onion dip and in house waffle chips for an appetizer. We all shared in the 3 course Restaurant week sample dinner an all the portions were delicious. We also appreciated the special "Welcome dish" comprising 12 Oysters and a glass of Prosecco. The two wine selections for Red ( a Zin) and White (Chardonnay) were quite good and very reasonably priced at $ 30 per bottle. The service throughout, from front of house to our servers was friendly
efficient, knowledgeable and overall excellent. Would definitely go back again outside of Restaurant week.
Very fond of this place. Live within walking distance downtown. Like crossing the bridges and heading up the hill. Have never had a bad meal.
Food took a while from ordering to receiving it. The staff served our food to the wrong table and the kitchen just seemed slow for restaurant week. Since we ordered off the restaurant week menu we thought it would be faster.
But overall it was good!
Not too impressed. I would have rather gone somewhere else for that price.
amazing service and food..10/10 recommend. filet is absolutely outstanding
We were greeted and seated right away. Drinks delivered quickly, and timing on food was great. Food was okay. Fun area of town, will try other establishments.
We visited for my husband’s birthday. LoHi Steakbar gave him a $30 bar tab to celebrate! They did an excellent job navigating my food allergy (soy) and we enjoyed the service, ambience, amazing food. Our server James was very attentive and knowledgeable we and would highly recommend this restaurant.
We both ordered the steak and shared mashed potatoes and brussels sprouts. The food was delicious! My husband and I enjoyed a date night out and enjoyed our night there catching up and eating great food!
This was our go-to favorite for special occasions. Food always exceptional, drinks good and service great. Birthdays were always noted and something special done. Not so on our last visit. There were only 2 tables seated when we arrived, big parties of 8 and 12 and the noise level was off the charts. Then the lights were dimmed, needless to say, we couldn't read the menu. Server was lackadaisical at best. No hustle at all. Drink menu has changed and not for the better, and waayy overpriced, they do not even make our favorite drinks from the old menu anymore. (we asked) Scallops-always a favorite-were so salty, my daughters would not eat them, and were very gritty. I will have to say though, they were cooked perfectly. But no turnip puree, like in the past. I guess if you want to change the menu, change ALL of it, not just parts of it. French onion soup was just so-so, would not order again. Nothing tasted "right". It just seemed like maybe they changed food suppliers and the quality was not up to what we have experienced in the past.
I went on my birthday. They gave me $30 worth of free drinks (although I only had a beer), but also went during happy hour and had $1 raw oysters.
Truffle Fries were bomb.. Easily 5 stars. Steak was good, but not something you can't get elsewhere. Environment can be what you choose with how the place is broken up. Both a great bar scene and a good environment for dinner (date, friends, or fam).
New Year's Eve and we had excellent food and excellent service! Two thumbs up!
Our waiter was exceptional. Great service.
Steak was delicious and cooked properly.
The steaks were great and reasonably priced. Loved the side of brussel sprouts. Overall, great value for the quality of food and good service. Is a bit loud inside but has a cozy atmosphere.
The restaurant was half full but yet service was incredibly slow and when food/drink did arrive, about a 50 percent accuracy rate. Received my salad about 20 minutes after my entre. And had to ask for it. Another person at the table ordered a coffee and we were done with the entrees when I flagged our unlovable server to ask for the coffee. And on and on. Asked for some dressing on the side and received herb butter. I have no idea what was going on but it wasn't a good experience for us and our out of town guests.
We ordered the Flat iron steak, Scallops and pot De creme for dessert and everything was phenomenal. You can tell how much they care about the dishes they serve and making sure their patrons are well fed and satisfied. This was the first time I've ever received a truely medium rare steak at a restaurant and it was amazing <3 The pot De creme was perfection.
LoHi Steakbar is my hands down favorite in Denver. Excellent staff, great food, and a relaxed and unpretentious, but refined atmosphere. The quality wine and whiskey lists don't hurt either.
The food was great. Everyone working there was friendly and helpful. Liked how cozy it felt yet not too crowded. Would definitely go back.
