The dungeness crab risotto was the best risotto I've had in my life. I love this place: the food, the service, the ambience, the music.... I always love listening and talking to Wayne, and Cassie is lovely as well. Keep doing what you do!
The ambience and setting was fabulous and really the main reason for going there. I thought the food was overpriced. Delicious, but over priced and small portions. I’d still go again but not on a regular basis.
The Log Haven Restaurant was an enjoyable experience for my wife and I. The waiter was exceptional and explained the menu items in great and appropriate detail with the right amount of enthusiasm. He was very considerate in giving us time to review the menu. I heard him do the same at several other tables through out the evening and was impressed with ability to constantly repeat the same message without being boring. The food was very good and the portions were just right. Thank you.
We had some good friends visit us from out of town. We wanted to show them the best that Utah dinning had to offer. They were very impressed. The Chef prepared a great dinner for all four of us all. We were very impressed. The waitress was very very attentive and made us feel very comfortable.
It was a delight!
Great Service and good food.
The food was quite good. We really enjoyed the glazed chicken, and the desserts were fantastic.
Incredibly delicious food, all the staff was very very friendly, and they will make you feel that you are their number one priority. The inside was very beautiful and I really loved the fire place, Great atmosphere and once again the food was very delicious.
Service was excellent and food was outstanding. Particularly enjoyed the cauliflower appetizer and the banana coconut souffle dessert. The view of the waterfall outside was gorgeous. I highly recommend Log Haven and will return!
Server may have been new, but did not provide options available from bread service to entree sides.
Took our sister for dinner to celebrate her retirement. It was a magnificent evening. I'd alerted them to the occasion and the put us right by the fireplace. Our server Kelvin was amazing. The food was wonderful and done with some creative touches. Hubs and sister had the surf and turf and couldn't stop raving about it. I thoroughly enjoyed my fresh ahi. The brown butter pineapple upside down cake was delish and my French creme and berries were truly memorable. Magical!
We visited this romantic cabin in the woods right after a snow storm and the drive in the Wasatch Mountains was magical and only 15 minutes from our hotel. The setting of this log cabin restaurant was beautiful, the food was excellent and the service was lovely. Just a magnificent way to celebrate a 42nd anniversary. We sent other people from our hotel to the restaurant and hope they enjoyed the experience as much as we did. We will definitely return on our next trip to SLC
Excellent evening, what a lovely place with such amazing food
We visited Log Haven for the first time to celebrate my husbands birthday. We had a wonderful experience and he food was fantastic!! I would definitely recommend visiting Log Haven and we will be back for sure!
This was probably the best dining experience we’ve ever had. Loved visiting on the final night of our ski trip.
All the food was excellent, and the cauliflower antipasto made us long for the chef’s companionship. The setting is quiet with dim lighting. There’s a beautiful view of the nearby waterfall, and a fireplace to set the mood. The staff was attentive and polite. We ended our stay with a mouth watering banana soufflé.
Utah's best restaurant. The setting is unparalleled and the service is crisp and professional while still very friendly and knowledgeable. The food is exceptionally well prepared and creative and it is wonderful how the menu changes seasonally. The live piano played throughout dinner is a special touch. The venue is cozy and authentic - great outdoor dining in the summer.
FIRST CLASS PLACE - FOOD, SERVICE, AMBIENCE AND LOCATION. GOOD WINE LIST. UNIQUE OFFERINGS - KOREAN CAULIFLOWER APPETIZER IS A WONDERFUL START. THE TUNA AND THE BISON WERE GREAT. THE PETITE TART IS A PERFECT FINISHER.
It had snowed the day of our dinner and Log Haven looked magical twinkling in the snow. Our party tried the bison, salmon and goose entrees. We started with the alpine nachos and finished with a chocolate orange pudding dessert. This is our second visit in two weeks and both visits were perfect. Thank you Log Haven.
Skiing out in Utah and had dinner there, the ambiance is wonderful! The service and food worthy of going again! Very accommodating for vegan daughter.
Would attend a lot more if more affordable but always had perfect service and never treated poorly.
One of the most romantic restaurants we have ever been to. The staff was friendly. The food was outstanding. We will be bringing out of state guests there.
The location, ambiance and service was spectacular. The drinks and appetizers were delicious, but when it came to the main courses...we were disappointed. Both the steak and chicken dishes lacked the flavor and texture we expected.
This is like a place from a fairy tale...the most adorable log cabin. Every detail was perfected. Warm, inviting atmosphere. We immediately felt welcomed. Fireplace, amazing cocktails. Wait staff was possibly the best we have ever had....professional, knowledgeable, adorable. The GM was constantly present making sure we were 100% satisfied. I want to return to SLC just to eat here again. Our highlight, for sure!
My boyfriend and I enjoyed dinner here on Valentines day! It was so beautiful and romantic. Many people recommended this place to us and it did not disappoint. Parking was tricky we had to walk a bit to the restaurant. Other than that the food and service was great!
My wife and I came in for our very first Valentine's Day as a married couple, only 3 days after the wedding. Everything was wonderful! My wife said the Arancini was the second best she'd had in her life (she's from Italy, sorry), and tried her first ever Bison steak, which she loved. The service was attentive yet distant, as to allow us to enjoy each other's company without interruption, yet never went ignored. Further, going into the evening, hearing from others how nice (and expensive) the restaurant was, I had a number in mind that I was perfectly happy spending. I'm happy to say that, with appetizer, salad, two entrees dessert, two cocktails and a bottle of wine, I still spent less than I expected. Thank you for a wonderful evening, and the perfect way to cap our wedding weekend! We will definitely be back!
Dinner was outstanding. The Alpine nachos are always a treat.
Overall very happy with the experience. Elk was extremely good. Other meal, steak+lobster, was good, with lobster tasting very good, but the steak was over cooked (asked for medium rare and it was served medium).
Definitely a gem of the mountain. Quiet and subdued environment is perfect for a special date or somewhere comfortable.
Our meal and service were superb. Our waitress, Kelsey, was professionally excellent and also very friendly! We highly recommend Log Haven to anyone who wants a wonderful and romantic evening!
It was all terrific however, my husband had the lobster and steak and during the night got very sick. It’s was not the flu as no flu systems just 24 hours all the classic stomach problems related to problems with food.
Absolutely loved the food. Cooked to perfection. Our server Eric was very informative and fun to talk with and joke with. He also helped me with proposing by being sneaky and taking pictures and on one of them, switching to video and recording our proposal. Thank you so much!
Enjoyed a romantic dinner for two. The meal was outstanding and our server, Kelsey, was extremely attentive. Highly recommend Log Haven and will eagerly visit again whenever we find ourselves in Salt Lake City. One word of warning: cell signal was non-existant. We were scheduled to facetime with our 3 year old back home so Kelsey gave us the restaurant's guest wifi password. It was too slow for video but we managed a voice call. Rock on Kelsey!
While on a ski vacation, six of us decided to try out Log Haven for dinner. Two of us ordered the Elk ($40+ entree) and thought the Elk was dry and needed more sauce. The others ordered Bison, Crab Risotto, and the Filet option and enjoyed their food very much. What stood out to us was our server, Kelsey. Kelsey was so knowledgable and did an outstanding job! We would come back again just for the outstanding service!
Our dinner experience was magnificent!! We can’t wait to go again!
Ambiance and food was over the top amazing! Very beautiful, romantic, excellent service! Can’t wait to go back. Thank you Log Haven.
Pre-Valentine's Dinner reservation at this very romantic restaurant. Loved it! So cozy and intimate - sat by the fire place and looked out to the mountains. We split the southwest Caesar Salad and our entrees were Filet Mignon and the Bison. Very, very good. Excellent wines by the glass and very extensive bottle list. Couldn't have asked for a more perfect evening with my honey. Exceptional service by Nate. Thank you!
This was a very unique and enjoyable experience all the way around. Worth the drive up the canyon. Ambience was great, food was wonderful and the wait staff was extremely attentive with just the right touch...not too much attention and not too little. We visit SLC every couple months. We will visit Log Haven again.
Great spot for a date. Meat eaters have tons of choices. Vegetarian options limited. Overall everything was great, friendly staff, food came pretty fast. Ambiance was perfect!
