Tried L&C for lunch and arrived at 11:45. Food didn't get delivered to the table until 12:30 and then we had to rush to eat. The food was good but that is not great turn time for lunch when people need to get back to work. There were very few people in the restaurant so I'll assume they just don't do much lunch business. I likely would not come back here if pressed for time when there are lots of options in uptown who can deliver fast for business lunches. It seems like they are more an evening snack and bar/lounge place.
Will definitely be back!! Delicious brunch (I had the tomatillo Benedict)! Looking forward to going back for dinner and music. Stunning upstairs area.
I really enjoyed this place. Clayton was a great server and the wine and food was excellent. I will be returning.
First time there and definitely will not be the last. Entire staff works hard to make sure you are taken care of. After dinner there was live jazz music in the loft with large comfy couchs to relax on.
The bartender was absolutely fabulous and the food was delicious.
The food was excellent! Will definitely be back!
There were some great items on the menu, notably the ceviche and empanadas. Attentive wait staff and great drinks mean that we will definitely return. Great location if planning to go out on the town later.
Service and Food Excellence !!! Food portion are very small .
Very loud. Impossible to have a conversation .
We had to move upstairs in order to talk. Little pricey for dinner.
It was a very pleasant experience, to say the least. I decided to make a reservation at the Loft to meet up with some friends that had never dined there before. It wasn't my first time there, so I was very happy to introduce them to some of my favorite dishes which included the cheese empanadas, the Chinese spare ribs, the nacho fries, the bleu cheese sliders, the queso, and the Cellar pie. Everything came out in a timely fashion and was hot upon reaching our table. The food arrived looking the exact same way that it appears on Loft & Cellar's social media pages. Visiting on a Friday night, and being able to take advantage of the special on glasses of champagne was also a plus! My friends were very impressed with how fresh everything was, and although there wasn't any live entertainment last night, there was still a nice crowd with great music playing over the speakers, as well as an inviting ambiance overall. Chef Nicholas stopped by to ensure that we were comfortable, and that our food came out hot and tasty (a courtesy that I have not experienced at most other restaurants). We were there for over 3 hours, and the bartender/server Seth did a great job checking on us, making sure that our drinks kept coming, and that all of our needs were met to the fullest. After enjoying a few craft beers, we were excited to learn about there craft beer specials on Tuesdays. I can't wait to return on Sunday for the Panthers' first home game!
Food was marvelous.
Great service and food. Fun place to enjoy a good meal!
Absolutely great experience! Will definitely return! Food was great, drinks were great, service was great!!
We we sadly disappointed. Made the reservation two days in advance, walked in and thought it was a bar..We were not told or notified there was a private party in the loft. We were told there was a limited menu if we'd like. After about 2 minutes, we bolted. I had heard it was a great place to have tapa's and wine..I live 5 hours away...Wish it had been posted that the time was unavailable.
A friend and I went to Loft and Cellar for dinner and especially to hear the live jazz. We were seated and could barely hear ourselves talk. The noise is deafening and the idea of trying to hear the music over such cacophony would have been impossible. We did not stay. Great jazz, very competent and helpful server.
service was horrible. its like our waiter was on drugs. manager came by and never asked how our experience was just dropped off a coupon and walked off
Excellent time, and It was a great place to have my first date with this lady I just started seeing. The atmosphere was charming and romantic, the staff was fun to talk to, and the menu is well thought out and unique. The upstairs loft was a great place to relax and finish our bottle of wine after a great dinner too. I will be coming back, even if it's just for a drink.
Love the French press coffee- just need to find a better way to keep it hot. Great restaurant with wonderful food.
First time here and it was amazing. Every plate and every cocktail was absolutely delicious. Auria was the perfect waitress. Very impressed for a new restaurant and looking forward to going again.
Overtly pretentious without the chops to back it up. Great for people who are hungry and want to stay that way.
We were with another couple and ordered 3 plates per couple (6 total). Our friends received all three plates within 20-30 mins. My husband and I got one plate. After 45 mins, we asked what was going on. Our waiter insisted he put our orders in and they were coming. After an hour someone came to collect our plates as if we were leaving and I reminded them we weren't done eating. Our waiter came back at the hour fifteen minute mark and we asked about the food again. This time he checked with a manager or the kitchen... For some reason the rest of our order was overlooked. I found the food to be over-priced... Some of what we got was great, but some was not (we got the iberico pork which was $26... The pork was ok but the squash on the side was dry and had no flavor). They offered us a free dessert but at that point I was just wanted to get out of there. Will not be back.
Don't eat here unless you want to get two dinners in one night.
While the drinks were good, the waitstaff was under trained (both in service and on the menu). The waiter struggled with getting the wine bottle open ($60 bottle) and got cork in it. The steak was over cooked, and the chef argued with us on it.
Overpriced for what you get. Actual food was ok - nothing to rave about. I was expecting much more.
We visited Loft and Cellar with a few friends on Thursday, their opening night. The atmosphere was buzzing! They have a great wine, beer, and handcrafted cocktail selection. The food selection is out of this world! The most unique menu in Charlotte. This will quickly become one of the staple spots in uptown.
First night open to public, we wanted to support a new place downtown. Small plates (don't call them tapas-that's Spanish food), out of the ordinary for sure, unlike anything else in Clt, not for 'steak-and-potatoes' eaters. You may leave sated but you may leave still hungry.
We liked Loft and Cellar but likely won't return. It is too 'over the top' and just doesn't fit with Clt. We spent $120 for 2 with cheap bottle of wine, no dessert, before tip.
