At night, Locus turns into the premiere hotspot in Liberty Village to spend your night with our resident DJ’s spinning a wide range of music from the latest hits to classic house.
Book your next party or outing and come be charmed by our Italian hospitality all evening and into the night.
We had a waitress that was fairly new and she really didn’t know much but she made sure she’d ask which was appreciated. We has dinner for 6 but only 5 showed and some where a bit late. We three and the waitress didn’t even bother to check on us they were more concerned about the bar and the game. I really wanted to try their food is the reason we stayed. They lacked hospitality even if we all didn’t show up . Just horrible service. Chef was amazing.
Great experience! Food and service was great. We went for a friends bday and they put together a desert platter for us for free. So nice
The ambiance was great, food was terrible. The menu is Italian influenced but there was nothing Italian about the taste of the food. The food was not tasty and it was bland. I recommend going after 10pm, because that is when the DJ starts playing and the place turns from regular dining to like a lounge. Service was okay ( some attitude was given from the waitress ). Overall great place to go to for last minute plans.
The restaurant was not busy on a Friday night, but neither was the neighbourhood possibly due to cold weather.
The food was delicious, and they had some really interesting cocktails too.
We shared 3 antipasti & a pizza between 3 people & couldn't quite finish everything.
Excellent quality, great location in Liberty Village, and friendly service.
Great experience. Fabio is a hospitable and gave us great service.
Had a lovely time out for dinner with my partner. Food and wine were great, service was outstanding. Great energy and vibe and in the restaurant. Will definitely return!
The ambiance of the restaurant was very down to earth! Server was very friendly and made the experience extra! We had the mussels which were delicious and not heavy at all! Would definitely recommend to try!
Visiting TO, but easy to find and was quiet with very tasty food. Would have rated a touch higher but service missed a small thing. Unfortunately they didn`t acknowledge our daughters b-day at all, once there...not a dessert, no inquiry with us on it once we got there...even though they knew from Res and from pre chats. It wasn`t that big of a deal but would have shown great operational control. All in all would return and eat there again.
It was my Girlfriend's Birthday and we were surprised by a free dessert platter that was to die for - 5 BIG STARS!!!!
Great service and great food . Real value for what you get . Definitely coming back .
It was a great little gem in Liberty. Much better than the common spots. Michelle served us and did a great job ensuring we felt at home. Would come back and would recommend! Well done.
Unfortunately our experience wasn’t a good one. Although the servers were nice, the service was horrible. We had to wait when we got there even with a reservation, and there were plenty of seats available. They were clearly short staffed, the poor bartender did everything. It took 45 minutes for our food to arrive. The mushroom salad and fries were disappointing but the wings were good.
First time there, certainly not the last. Delicious food, and very accommodating service. Awesome!
We were in Liberty Village @ The Local, it was packed an noisy and service was terrible so we went on OPEN TABLE to find another place close by where we could have dinner and booked immediately at Locus 123. We walked over, were warmly greeted and enjoyed our dinner.
I would not this recommend this place for food. The dining experience was bad it’s more of a bar. My pizza was burnt, it was replaced and I was charged for it. The servers were rude and not helpful.
Awesome little spot.
For a large party they did a great job taking care of us.
It was very nice experience ! I loved the food ! Very good restaurant! For sure I will come back here !!
Main course took an hour. Way too long
Great staff, good food, amazing service, large portions. Will definitely go again for food and drinks.
Thank you to Michael, who took care of us that evening - every dish was amazing and we are coming back - I highly recommend the salmon and the octopus!!
I LOVE this place! The food and service is superb! The quality and taste of ingredients is dynamite and the server was very personable and attentive. This is definitely a favourite neighbourhood gem and I will not hesitate to go back!
Great experience. Definitely went on an off hour but service was great and ambiance was cool (although we were the only people in the restaurant).
Did not honour reservation, got stuck on end of a large group table.
My husband and I had an amazing dinner here last night! Our server was incredibly friendly and attentive, and made sure we had a perfect experience. The food was also delicious, fresh and served quickly. We will definitely be returning and recommending to friends!
I now understand why they offer “extra points” for reserving this restaurant. They are more of a, “late night eatery nightclub”, that is trying to get dinner business as well. In a pinch, it’s fine, but I wouldn’t go there for any other reason. We were the only people dining at 7pm. Red flag! The bartender was our server. Red flag! The red wine was awful! Red flag! The kale salad was brown and the size of a big mac, red flag! But we stayed, because our bartender/server was fantastic. He’s worth the visit. I suggest eating first and ordering cocktails.
Good and service was outstanding! Will definitely return.
nicely prepared, tasty, accomodating staff
We went to celebrate our anniversary here and the experience was lovely. The bartender/waiter was amazing. The food was great, especially the salmon. The bread and hot oil combo was great too! Not only that but we received free champagne due to the occasion! We definitely will be returning!
A great place in liberty village! Great food, music and service! Highly recommended!
Unfortunately the service was horrible, due to accidents of road, I was curtious to call restaurant in advance to notify of arriving later, couldn't find restaurant in vicinity, called employee had no clue of the street location, when finally a local resident walked me to this area, arriving at restaurant I asked for herbal tea, instead a cup without saucer, no napkin was bought to me with tap hot water, and tea bag in side, no sugar or milk offered. I refused it, then he bought 3 small pieces of bread and vinegar bottles and placed on table directly in front of friend and nothing offered to me. After 10 mins, of trying to get his attention and the bar guy which totally ignored us and also other people at other tables were also trying to get their attention. The prices are higher and the service absolutely no customer value for patrons.
Excellent gem of a find, mojitos are amazing! Carpaccio and the locus pizza were my picks. And the hospitality will definitely see me back.
This is an unappreciated Toronto gem. The food is in great proportions, and incredibly good -- we went on a Saturday night and it was moderately busy. Service was beyond stellar. The table next to us had limited English, and one of the servers seamlessly switched into French. Everybody we interacted with knew the food, made kind smalltalk, and were incredibly friendly and polite. I don't know why this place wasn't 100% packed (it was maybe 70%), but it should be, and I can't wait to make my way back again. Sure, if you don't live there Liberty Village is a bit of trip, but it is absolutely worth it!
Pretty average on all levels...nice waiter but Toronto has too many rests with very good food to be able to recommend this spot. Pizza very average dough and dried out crust, spiducci first bite was pure tendon, and fried calamari pale and undercooked...tiny little shrimp which were dried out in the same basket.
Didn't bother with dessert or espresso as seemed too much of a risk.
Fantastic pizza, friendly service, cool vibe. Would definitely come back!
Me and my husband were recommended by a friend who lives in Liberty Village to try Locus. Upon arriving we had a warm greeting from one of the owners. We started off with 2 cocktails from the cocktail list. My husband had a cocktail made with ginger beer which was quite tasty, I had a Negroni which is difficult to find made to find made well in Toronto, but these guys make the best Negroni I've had in the city.
Shortly after the waitress brought out a bread basket of their home-made breads. The focaccia was out of this world!
Me and my husband decided to share some appetizers and mains. For appetizers we had a beef carpaccio, grilled calamari and some bread knots. The beef carpaccio was very authentic my husband told me (he comes from Italy), the grilled calamari was super fresh and came with capers and olives, also delish. The highlight was those bread knots, they are like crack covered with cheese, garlic and herbs.
For mains we split the prosciutto pizza which was incredible. Their pizza rivals with some of the best in the city and a mushroom pappardelle pasta with cream and truffle which was equally amazing.
Great overall experience and a great recommendation by my friend. Already booked my birthday for next month and can't wait to return!
