The food was amazing. We tried it all, at least it seemed. Oysters, deviled eggs, shrimp cocktail to start. Then crab cakes, fish and chips, chops with Brussels sprouts and mac and cheese! Food was delicious and on point! For a $400 tab you would think the service would have been just as good as the food. Server not very attentive to us. Walked past us multiple times without asking how we were. Even the manager walked past us. Thankfully the staff who brought our food out was helping out more.
Loved it! I celebrated my birthday! We will definitely
When eating oysters outside, would be helpful to have something to shade oyster tray to keep ice or slow down from melting.
Amazing food! It took awhile to get our food and drinks but I’m sure they were making everything with love!! Live music was amazing will definitely go back when I’m back in town
Based on other reviews, this venue was exactly what I hope and anticipated for.
Amazing service and the quality of food was superb.
The food was great!! The waiter was attentive, it did take a
Loch Bar is the place to go in Houston for late night wining & dining!
Our waiter Sage was perfect! He was very informative about the menu, food choices, and drinks! His service was exceptional and overwhelmingly the best service I’ve ever had!
We were seated for 25 minutes without a server.
Great food and service and also had very good music!
Food is delicious and customer services is superb! Shout out to Scott for going over and beyond!!
Sat on a patio. Delicious as usual
The first time we ate there it was a better experience. This time we sat right next to the computer ordering station and there was a lot of negative energy (and even what seemed to be an argument). The waitress was very sweet, but unfortunately not very good. Had to ask for things multiple times. Oysters were excellent, the crab cake was a bit fishy, and the fried chicken was dry and over done. Prices were a bit steep. $50/lb for whole main lobster and minimum size was 2 lbs. $32/glass Veuve Champagne when it's available at a Total Wine for $47 a bottle. I get a mark up, but that's high.
Andrew was outstanding! Provided great customer service and the food was amazing!
Great atmospheres. Fantastic whiskey collection if you’re a fan. The food was fresh, with simple clean ingredients. Everything was fantastic and their distancing and mask usage was great.
Background music was also nice songs choice..
Oysters were great. Server made a great evening. Nice to get out and forget about the world for a while.
Great ambience for a double date or night out with friends!
Went for my best friends 40th bday dinner, just her and I. We were lucky to get a table outdoors since the weather was amazing, but spacing was minimal. At best! We were seated next to a larger party of men so it was a bit rough hearing over them since we were so close, but we didn’t let it take away from the amazing food we had. Service wasn’t bad even with it being as full as it was!
Excellent raw bar.
The hostess station was a little chaotic , but everyone was pleasant. The service was AMAZING! We dine at a high end establishments frequently, and the service here was hands down the best we’ve had in years. The food was amazing. I woke up the next day thinking about the lobster roll. The live music was very good but a little on the loud side to be conducive for conversation. Can’t wait to go back!
Very good atmosphere and food. The oysters were unbelievable and the scallops.
The ambiance at this restaurant was absolutely amazing! The lighting was so nice on the patio we sat right behind the open door where the band was. She was so good! We had great music while enjoying our food. The whole staff was accommodating when I asked to have the heater turned on. Dessert was delicious and so were the drinks! I’d definitely come back!
I always stop by at Loch Bar and it’s always a pleasure. This time we had a small size charcuterie table , followed by amazing lobster rolls . Sparkly rose and beer were our beverages . The restaurant had a lot of people (Friday evening of course ) but social Distancing was working , then nothing to worry about . Music was good too !
Great food very pricey
We loved celebrating our anniversary at Loch Bar. We sat on the patio. The service, drinks and food were excellent. We felt safe and we loved our waiter. Also we are so excited to see that Scott is the GM! We’ve been a loyal customer to all of his previous spots. Looking forward to our next outing at Loch Bar!
It was delicious! Our server was fantastic. The bar service was unbelievably beyond slow. Took over 20 minutes every time we ordered a drink. Ordered our last drink during our meal and got it after the check came. The food is beyond delicious and I will come back but my suggestion would be work on the bar service. Also, The computer/waiter station by our booth was very congested and bothersome. Will Ask For a specific table next time.
Decided to celebrate one of my best friend's birthday here as part of our tradition. I was hopeful expecting to enjoy a great meal of seafood delicacies, but overall the experience really felt short. I think either the restaurant used salt to preserve the food, or the chef/cook was really off with the salt/seasoning for almost EVERY single dish that we had.
The King Crab Legs were quite salty, and it was not the "fresh from the sea" type of salt level either. The Maryland Crab Cakes, though the size and shape were great, were quite salty that I had to doused them in the cream sauce to lighten up the taste. The Grilled Red Snapper was a disaster - my friend had to send it back to the kitchen as the sauce was salty to the extreme. The manager brought out the remade dish, and the sauce was of an entirely different color, and tasted much better. The table next to us also had to return their Red snapper, so I figured we were not the lone ones feeling tasting the saltiness in the dishes.
The hushpuppies were okay. We also order the Oyster Rockefeller, but that was a terrible disaster - the taste of the topping of the oyster was horrid!
The items to save the say were the Chesapeake Crab Dip and the Mac & Cheese topped with lobster (they were not shy on the lobster pieces!). But that is sad to have the shining stars of the night be the appetizer and a side dish...

My husband and i really enjoyed our lunch here. They did a great job with a thoughtful birthday for my husband. Thank the staff for good service.
I really like lochbar’s ambiance. The food is great the service is attentive. Their oyster options are amazing.
Thank you Hope for great service and being so sweet! 10/10 for her!
Great way to spend my birthday. Food and service were exceptional!
The server was attentive. The food was ok. I enjoyed the ambiance better than the food.
Great food and great service. Everything I could ask for in a go-to spot.
The service was spot on and on point with the food quality. The drinks were perfectly mixed. Had a great time
I would like to start by saying the food was excellent. If I were to rate on the food alone, it would have been a 5 star experience. We booked a reservation almost a week prior and upon arrival we didn’t have a table ready. We were told that “just because we request a table outside does not mean we will get one”. So I feel like this defeats the entire purpose of a reservation. The service was fair, but as the night went on the crowd got rowdy, which is surprising since the pricing did not reflect a restaurant that would have this sort of problem. We were also surrounded by people who were smoking so this was a little disappointing.
Despite the excellent food, I feel the service and the atmosphere did not reflect the value of the experience. Unfortunately, I would find this restaurant difficult to return to.
Enjoyed my first trip to Loch Bar will be back!!
First outing since March 20!!! Had a blast enjoyed this restaurant completely, LOBSTER WAS OFF THE CHAIN
Eaten here many times. Service since Covid is terrible. Three dinners since June here and service terrible on all. Not lack of staff..always waiters and managers standing around talking.
Food is good and oysters are fresh and I love ROD but if they do not start taking care of clients we will take our big ticket averages elsewhere.
