Maryland Crab Cakes

Sat outside. It started to get cold. We asked if they would please light a heater. We were told there was no propane so no heaters. Then they lit them for other tables. Eventually we got one after having to advocate repeatedly. Server obviously lied.
Very attentive. They brought me a slice of cake out for my birthday. The food was amazing!
Our experience was amazing! We were celebrating a coworker’s birthday. The service was excellent. The food and drinks were par excellence ... Will definitely return. We set outside in a splendid afternoon in October.
Great service, delicious food and perfect outdoor seating on the Harbor!
Amazing!!! Crab grilled cheese & frosé was phenomenal 😍
Delicious, the food was better than I could have expected! And the outdoor seating was gorgeous.
My friends and I were in town to catch the MNF game and decided to eat at Loch Bar after comparing the reviews of local restaurants. We could not have been happier with that decision. The service was excellent and was only overshadowed by the fantastic food. We wanted to try Maryland crab cakes and Loch Bar delivered. We will definitely be back.
Shoestring fries so crispy and hot out of the fryer. Lobster roll has perfectly toasted bun, quality lobster, perfectly clarified butter. Variety of oysters is good. Our server was really friendly, and the parker house rolls were warm and accompanied with a great compound butter. The only thing off is the music... a bunch of oldies that are tired and lily white. Doesn't go with the vibe, clientele, or 2021. Time to overhaul the playlist.
Another great Lochbar experience!
It was fast and friendly. The food was good and the presentation was nice. It was spacious and beautiful views.
Enjoyed the Loch Bar immensely. Made a reservation for around sunset when the restaurant and surrounding harbor has a vibrant atmosphere. Promptly seated outside where the ambience was very relaxing. Food was delicious and reasonably priced for a Four Seasons experience. Wonderful and friendly service. Felt very relaxed but also special for a night out with friends or someone special.
Had reservations, no problem. Seated upon arrival for outside dining. Waitress not very attentive. Asked for water and a drink. Drink was served water never came until we asked another waiter 15mins later. I guess our table was not a money maker for our waitress because she was very attentive to a table of 8 men that was across from us. Once she took our food order we received better service from management. Salmon was good. Crab cake sandwich was returned due to lukewarm temperature of crab cake.
Such a small lobster roll for $35 !
It was tasty but nothing special
Love this place!!!!! It was a bit windy and my drink fell over onto my food. Manager stepped in and had a new meal prepared. Awesome service always!!!
My wife and I went to the Loch Bar to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. We had a wonderful time the service and the food was outstanding!!
Food was amazing, as well as the service. Very nice outdoor seating by the inner harbor. Highly recommend and would definitely go back.
Good and service were outstanding. It’s a little loud for those that are bothered by that. Definitely recommend otherwise.
Our server was excellent and we enjoyed our meal. An overall nice atmosphere that is a bit over priced.
absolutely the best experience. get the tower. shoutout to our server Sochi and manager Elena (sorry for spelling). it was all around great. can’t wait to return.
During our visit they were short on staff so wait times for food was over an hour. They did credit the bill to make up for the huge wait time so we will try to visit again. Food was great when we did finally get it…especially the oysters.
We went to Loch Bar for our wedding anniversary. Had never heard of it before but I'm so glad we gambled on it. The food was delicious and not too expensive for our wallets. Our waiter was incredibly sweet and even gave us a free dessert to celebrate our special day! I will ABSOLUTELY be coming back.
Absolutely wonderful staff and food! I will be coming back soon!
Extreme noise levels, forcing us to sit outside on a 90 degree evening. Our appetizers and main were served at the same time, approximately 15 minutes after ordering. The main course had to be remade, which took nearly 45 minutes. The crab cake sandwich had so much Old Bay seasoning (despite this not being listed on the menu) that it was inedible.
Nice restaurant with good views and great oyster selection. Our server John was great as well all the other staff. If your in the area and want great oysters this is the place.
After being seated we had to go find our waiter, who was very nice and attentive. The tenderloin appetizer had very chewy meat and the shrimp was also tough. My burger was good but not great and the seafood club had very little seafood on it.
The food and drinks are always good with my lobster roll tasting delicious. Thank you for your wonderful service and valet.
My waitress was very welcoming. Loved that she stopped at my table when she wasn’t busy to chat a lit. Her hospitality was very welcoming
Had a wonderful wonderful time ,toke my girlfriend for her birthday. The food was awesome the service was outstanding. Highly recommend.
We were disappointed. The cream of crab soup had bits of shell in every bite. The filet was too garlicky and the asparagus was over done. The salmon added to my salad was a very small portion for the cost. Overall, we got very little food for a 160$ bill, that only included 2 glasses of wine and a beer.
Noise: We were there when it opened on a Thursday. Few people but noisy--mostly due to accoustics, I think. We wouldn't want to be there on a weekend. We ate inside, outside would have been a better choice.
Food: we had four oysters 2 fried, 2 Rockefeller--for $16. The fried were small and too fried, too much batter. The Rockefeller were great.
We split a $29 grilled cheese, with bacon and crab imperial. It was delicious! It was so rich and big that even the half was hard to eat. We had been out the night before and didn't want anything but water to drink. They brought it in an ice bucket and served in red wine glasses. We enjoyed it, even though it was a step away when we wanted to refill our glasses. We would have ordered another bottle, had the waiter asked.
Would we go back? Yes? Our expectations would be more realistic. It is a bar, after all!
Sitting outside by the water sipping on an excellent Froze. Lovely.
Wow! Now that was a crab cake!! Fantastic food, fantastic service and great outside dining!
I normally do not write such reviews but felt I had to based on a great experience.
Our waiter Sandesh was awesome so ask for him!
Service was excellent. Food was just ok.
Great place for Maryland seafood. Quality food and drinks.
Loch bar never disappoints. Top tier every time I'm there
Excellent service fantastic food great atmosphere. Will be a repeat customer when visiting Baltimore
We dined on a late August Monday evening, kindly seated in a quiet corner outdoors (great view, cool enough even on a sweltering day). Service was prompt, friendly, and efficient. We ordered a large Cobb salad to split (it is really big!) and each off the appetizer menu, moules frit and steak lettuce wraps. I ordered 1 glass of wine, the Albarino, which was great (this with the backing of a 2000 bottle cellar at home) Before we had anything but water and wine, rain threatened and all moved inside. So much for phone app weather. The noise level was deafening. Across a small table, 1 in 3 shouted words could be understood. We ate in disappointed silence, ordering coffee to wait out the rain. Food was delicious, as good as I have eaten out in Baltimore. It is expensive but not outlandish given the service and location. However, I will never go again unless it is certain I can find a shaded table outside. The noise for me is a difference between a 2 and a 10 no matter the quality of food and wine.
The food was outstanding!
The view allows a great opportunity for people watching along the harbor. Nice spot for drinks and sampling of small plates of fresh seafood. However the service failed when the sequence of drinks were off. Our oysters came out first, then our entree, finally our cocktails and our oysters Rockefeller came out with the check.
Wonderful as always
