    Good was amazing! Tenderloin app and lobster roll were favorites. Drinks were great too! Try the frozen drinks! Our waitress was wonderful, we were well taken care of!

    The Loch has the best crab cakes in the entire region, in our opinion. Simply amazing. Combined with superb service, fun ambiance, and Smith Island chocolate cake, it’s a winner every time!

    Great Maryland crab soup, and the spicy jerk chicken was moist and delicious. My waitress was attentive and polite. Only negative was they charge $45 for corkage (even for a half bottle), which I find ridiculous!

    My wife and I were pleased with all aspects of Loch Bar. The night began with being greeted by the valet guys, and ultimately ended when Jaime brought us a couple of the frozen slushies. And on top of that, the meal was damn good. Thank you very much. We recommend this experience to everyone.

    Our server was fabulous but the noise level was just so high that it was really hard to enjoy a meal. The food was good, not great. The entree portions were small. Prices were not unreasonable for raw bar items but some of the items were outrageous. $40 for a crab claw is not exactly reasonable, which is probably why there are so many on display - because nobody can afford to eat one. Also the bus people seemed to be overzealous, grabbing items while there's food still in your mouth.

    Food was wonderful as always…THE BEST cream of crab soup ! Adults beverages were nice but, the live entertainment was too loud. Found ourselves raising our voices to hear each other from across the table. Still recommend Loch Bar!

    Food was delicious, our server was excellent and very attentive even as she covered most of the outdoor patio. We had the crab cakes, filet mignon, and the Chilean sea bass - all were great especially the latter two. I do wish they had a more extensive dessert menu but no complaints as I was satisfied with the amount of food. I will definitely be back.

    Perfect easy Sunday afternoon lunch, due in LARGE part to the phenomenal service we received from Haven. I was having lunch with a friend who'd never been to Baltimore. They gave us a seat with a nice view, Haven brought out a lovely sampling of seafood for my friend to try. She was super pleasant, checked in on us often but not too often. The spiced shrimp and half-open king crab legs were great, my crab cake was all lump no filler, and my friend said his lobster roll was tasty.

    We had 6pm reservations on a Friday night. When we arrived, we were told we would need to wait a little because they didn’t have any open tables just yet, ie guests weren’t finishing up their meals as quickly as they’d expected. There were about 4 parties including me waiting to be seated with our reservations. People continued to walk in and were turned away. We ended up having to wait 40 minutes to be seated WITH a reservation. Our server was good and so was our food, I just thought it was crazy we had to wait that long with a reservation. They should really take less walk ins when they know they have reserved seats or encourage diners to leave instead of lingering at their tables after meals

    After waiting a half hour for a table we had reserved well in advance, the restaurant quickly redeemed itself with their fabulous food (highly recommend the Chilean sea bass) and superb drinks. My compliments to the bartender on duty that night, who made me two of the best Lemon Drop Martinis I've ever had, and I consider myself to be very choosy about them! He was also kind enough to give us a small bowl of strawberries for a very hungry toddler! We are from CT, but we will definitely return on our next visit to Baltimore!

    In a nutshell: A big disappointment and seemingly trending downward. We’ve been going to Loch Bar occasionally since they opened. It’s been a pleasant outdoor space with above-average food. Based on our most-recent visit, they need to improve markedly to be considered average. The owners, Atlas Restaurant Group, have long touted the quality of their ingredients; this claim can no longer be made with any validity. Our sad experience began with a prolonged wait for a host/maitre d’ at the entry podium. Except for the other guests waiting to be seated, the entry area was not occupied for several minutes as serving staff went by the area completely ignoring the waiting diners. A manager was nowhere in sight. Finally, after a hostess arrived and we were next in line, I asked if they were short-handed for the evening. She said no, that she always covered the position by herself. I didn’t dispute this, but whenever we’re been to Loch Bar in the past, 2-3 hosts/hostesses were present. The dining room area was as usual, incredibly loud, a din more resembling a rowdy, drunken beer hall than a restaurant. Once seated outdoors (beware of the lantern flies), our server arrived promptly; she did an excellent job throughout the meal; the food courses arrived promptly, a significant improvement from the inconsistency of previous visits. As far as quality of the offerings goes, the kitchen and bar performed less than acceptably: (1) The gin and tonic was thin, watery, and flat and without the requested lime. (2) The fried oysters, which we have enjoyed on many occasions in the past, were very chewy. (3) The breading on the fish ‘n chips was overcooked. (4) The crab cakes, which had been promoted as having lump crab meat, had barely a hint of any; instead they consisted of a paste of shredded crab meat that had an unpleasant taste/texture. Throughout the meal, we never saw any management personnel checking on customer happiness (it’s a bad sign when management hides).

    We went there for our anniversary. It was a Monday so low crowd. Service was excellent. Food was good. Atomosphere was exquisite. They surprised us with dessert at the end to celebrate our anniversary which was a nice touch. Highly recommend.

    We frequent Loch Bar for their lobster roll and oysters. Today’s visit was for a friend’s birthday and we ordered the whole lobster with some sides, oysters, and steak. Everything was amazing! But our most favorite part of the visit was our server, Ángeles, who is always pleasant and helpful :). We look forward to our next visit!

    Delicious, reasonably priced brunch in a beautiful waterfront setting. Attentive (but not rushed) service and live music were the icing on the cake. What's not to love!?!

    The food was enjoyable. The drinks were particularly good. Heart of Gold is a great bourbon cocktail. We sat outside so we had a nice view of the harbor and it’s a great people watching spot. It’s pretty pricey for what you get but I can’t complain about any of the food we ordered.
