Excellent service by Massimo, who makes you feel cared for in a family type of way, provides excellent service and equally delicious food. Highly recommend!
The service and the food was completely outstanding- I can’t wait to go back !!!
best Italian food in LA and Maximus is wonderful, fun and very attentive to the guests
Excellent food and service in a relaxed, unpretentious atmosphere.
This is our go to Friday night date place. We love this place and it’s been consistent for many many many years. We are treated like family and service is the best!
I used to go here frequently in the 90s. Rediscovering it was gratifying. Delicious food, gracious service, excellent value. Like reconnecting with a long lost friend and finding you still click.
Amazing! It’s my favorite Italian restaurant in LA!!
Not much atmosphere if you want to eat outdoors but this place has been around forever and their food is divine. Service was great and the meal outstanding. Food like being in Italy ---
Maximus is great . Food excellent service excellent
The menu has changed but most of our favorites remain or are frequent specials. Not very busy on a Tuesday night, which made for more relaxed dining -- expect this to change soon. We had rack of lamb, which we thought one of the best we've had anywhere, and papardelle with wild boar ragu, a long-time favorite. Will be back soon.
The food is delicious and fresh and the staff is friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about all the dishes on the menu and the specials. The pasta is always fresh and cooked to perfection! We love the appetizers, entrees and desserts! The beef carpaccio, the wild boar pappardelle and the key lime pie are so delicious.
Wonderful dinning experience. Great specials, wine list and prix fixe options make it a regular spot. The wild boar ragu is not to be missed!
always look forward to dining at Locanda Veneta! Consistently delicious.
We always have enjoyed this restaurant. I particularly like Pollo al Mattone which is tender, juicy and delicious. My husband usually enjoys the pappardelle. This last time, I was happy with the pollo but my husband selected the sea urchin, crème fraîche pasta instead of his usual selection. He was not happy with his choice, but blames only himself. All in all we had a very pleasant experience and were able to get outdoor seating. These days, we consider that very important.
The pasta with Uni was incredible, as was the savory Sea Bass. We'll be back for the friendly service, great wine selection, and more wonderful food.
Always great! Terrific food and wonderful service!
Delicious food, a little noisy. Small place, please reserve before!
chilean seabass was superb.
Warm, friendly and professional service. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. Cozy ambience
I know it’s horrible as I leave so close to Locanda but haven’t been in forever. That’s going to change now. The food was spectacular. Our party had the Osso Buco, Truffle Raviole, Chicken Parm, and the special: Wild Boat Pappardele. Everything was beyond delicious. Our server was brilliant. Before you can even ask a question he said “Yes”. If you are even thinking about coming here just do it. If you have a bad tone or the food isn’t to your liking you can personally come to my home and hit me. You’re not going to do that.
We had excellent service the food was amazing and all in all it was a wonderful experience
Great place, walking distance from Cedars Sinai. Food was amaze!
Food was great - my friend and I shared a salad, the seabass special and green beans. The food and service were terrific!
We chose to sit outside, and 3rd street was pretty noisy with traffic and ambulances, though.
Otherwise, a perfect evening.
I have been dining at Locanda Venetta for 25 years at least. Last night I drive a considerable distance to dine here. Every thing from the bread in the table the Baratta Capressi, my pasta bolognese & Key lime tort was nothing short of fabulous. Saying YUM out loud between bites could be heard all over the restaurant. Much better than RAO’s which was the worst. I highly recommend the fab dining experience.
Superb, as always!
Great food and the server was helpful.
Always delicious food great service. Hope they survive post pandemic
A great, long-established Italian restaurant on 3rd St that is both authentic and very under-the-radar considering how wonderful the food is and how attentive the staff is. Highly recommended.
Fabulous! Great food and service! Yum!!! Will certainly return!
Andre and his team are terrific people and Andre is a fabulous chef. I have enjoyed Locanda Venegas for 34 years and it’s has never disappointed.
In my opinion this is the best Italian restaurant in West Los Angeles and I hope it sees another 34 years.
Thank you for all you do.
Genial service, terrific food, cozy and intimate space.
The food was awful.
I stumbled upon this place while doing a google search for the restaurant next door. What a serendipitous event. This place had amazing reviews and who doesn't love Italian? That said, though I am typically not a fan of 5 star reviews, I must say that Locanda is a hidden gem. The food was absolutely amazing ... far better than I even anticipated, the service was very friendly and we felt very comfortable. We had the grilled calamari and Ceaser salad as appetizers and the lasagna and lamb shank with polenta for our main entrees, and they were to live for! As for wine, try the Tuscan, its perfect with Italian. We are definitely going back for another visit and I highly recommend giving it a try. You will be very delighted.
Such a relaxing and wonderful meal. The food was incredible from the calimari to the pappardelle to the tiramisu. The atmosphere was so comfortable and the service could not have been better.
The pasta sauce was too heavy for my taste. My friend’s steak was poor quality. The desserts were excellent.
Always superb! Highly recommended!!
Excellent and homey. The eggplant roll up alone is worth the trip.
Amazing food and outstanding service!
