Jessica Marie Taylor, our server is fabulous. She is studying for the Sommelier exam--loves wine and is a lot of fun. Her food recommendations to my friend, Wes, and me were right on. We like the restaurant for everything--food tops, atmosphere very nice, not crowded...and Jessica one of the best...all in all a perfect experience.
Enjoyed every minute of it, from the time we first walked in and were greeted, to the ciao as we left well satisfied. A terrific experience, great food, substantial portions, and a great time had by all.
Locanda Veneta is your friend in the neighborhood where you can walk in, get a warm welcome, delicious food, great wine, and enjoy a nice evening.
Always amazing service and wonderful food, specials every day that are delicious
A sleeper among LA's northern Italian restaurants. The modest, but pleasant dining room hardly gives a clue about how good the simple Venetian cuisine is. Lunch is a great bargain. The wine list is solid and mid-priced. Try the Valpolicella Ripasso from the shipper Masi -- the very best of its kind.
A very nice meal. The next best thing to being in Italy.
Food was deliciously amazing, service excellent, ambiance is wonderful
The small size of the restaurant really adds to the ambiance and character. The tables are cozily set next to each other, reminding me of a European restaurant. The food was amazing and the service was great as well. I would definitely go back.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in L.A. and if it were in our neighborhood, we’d be there every week. We live 1 1/2 hours from Locanda. Everything from the excellent new salade with grilled vegetable to the outstanding lamb, steak, seafood is exceptional. The 2 waiters are wonderfully friendly and extrememly knowledgeable about wines. It is a unique cozy spot off the bustle of 3rd street and Dr. apts. Always reliable,a true, “feel good” restaurant. Rita George
Everything was outstanding
Locanda Veneta is a favorite of our family. We rely on and we enjoy the food and the staff for a great experience. We bring out of town guests to Locanda because we are certain they will enjoy the food and we can comfortably talk and enjoy each others company. Locanda is a gem.
Everything was delicious except the eggplant dish. The eggplant was tough, stringy & hard to cut. They graciously took it off of our bill.
Excellent service food atmosphere and experience we love it
Always wonderful. You can’t go wrong with Locanda Veneta. One of the best Italian restaurants in Los Angeles.
A staple that never disappoints. The best herb chicken and their fresh pasta is fantastic. I always return..
I am from Venice and this place is not at all authentic.
We had a great lunch here. Service was fast and very friendly. Food was fantastic as well. We will make it to a dinner very soon as the menu for dinner was classic Italian.
La comida estuvo excelente, el chef es el dueño del restaurante el manager 10 puntos precios lógicos
What a wonderful evening overall! I have not been to this restaurant in over 25 years, but I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. Our waiter was very personable and accommodating. I highly recommend this restaurant and I will definitely be back soon.
Perfect anniversary experience
Locanda Veneta has become my local go-to for Italian - I can't justify going anywhere else when I love this place so much. The most authentic experience, freshest dishes, and really great sized portions.
It pains me greatly to share this news - I have ALWAYS loved and highly recommended Locanda Veneta. I was excited to take a friend who had never been and the meal not good. The salad was not fresh - the lettuce was not even green and it was covered in cheese so maybe we wouldn't notice??? and the boar pasta was okay but terribly overpriced and the seafood pasta was over cooked to the point of non existent clams and mussels the lobster rubbery and sadly the pasta was oddly grainy?? it was strange and very disappointing. One server for the entire restaurant made for bad service and an overall not good experience. It was a total bummer not to mention feeling pretty ripped off.
Quiet Monday night. Great food and service as always!
This is one of LA's top restaurants. Remember LA? It should be busier. Fine Venetian food, sweet, attentive service, beautiful dining room.
I love Locanda Veneta for special occasions or everyday dining. I ate there twice this week. The food is excellent and so is the service. We were lucky enough to have Mossimo as our server. Order a dish with homemade spaghetti or the fish or chicken.
The menu is a bit small but the food was fantastic. We have been there before and definitely will be back. One thing that was odd was they brought a cup of whipped cream for a birthday dessert. Couldn’t even do a biscotti but a cup of whipped cream??
Very nice place. Reminds us of a wonderful small place in Europe, not in the middle of Beverly Hills!
Visit LV once a year. Charming interior. Good service. Delicious bread. Scallop appetizer was good. Pasta’s had lots of sauce and we’re not plated particularly well. Plates just didn’t look appetizing when they arrived. Overall a bit of a disappointment.
Ok food. Ok service. Over salted.
Probably the best pasta I had by far. Perfect texture of homemade pasta cooked to a rich and flavorful perfection. Down to earth home style setting, everything was good except for the wait time is really long.
Great food for a great price, busy on Valentine’s Day but we still got great service
Authentic Italian atmosphere.
Could not possibly have been better - veal, pasta, pulpa, and bursts - perfect with a rose to finish!
Good food and service. Very accommodating when friend brought a cake in. We will be back!
This is one of our favorite restaurants. It’s reminiscent of the old school Italian restaurants I used to frequent in Manhattan: low lights, cozy booths, excellent, knowledgeable wait staff, and superb food.
Great Italian food. One must have is there Key Lime tart for dessert.
Perfect in every way.
We were seated promptly and service was attentive without being overly so. The food was wonderfully prepared and the portions were very generous
Can't remember when I dined here last. Went last Friday night and ordered from the DineLA menu. Had the calamari starter. I love calamari that is sauteed, not deep-fried. This calamari dish was among the -- if not the -- best I've ever had. It was incredibly delicious, prepared perfectly. Surprisingly, the portion was large. I was knocked out. Then I had the tagliatelle with uni and black caviar. OMG!! Rich, savory and beyond delicious. Again, a substantial portion -- so much so, I took some home. Oh, man, was that good! For dessert, I had the key lime whatever. I don't like fruit desserts, but the waitress recommended it and she was right on. All in all, just a spectacular meal.
