This is a real gem. Everything here is extraordinary. The fresh homemade pasta is wonderful and the Bolognese is as good as it gets. Service is attentive; the wine carefully selected. And it is always social, chatting with the neighboring table!

The food was exceptional, especially the scallops and seafood pasta. The restaurant itself is very noisy and it is hard to converse. The tables are extremely close together.

Burrata appetizer was delicious, calamari was amazing, my husband did not far for his chicken parmigiana but he loved the sauce on pasta, my son enjoyed his pasta. I would definitely return to this restaurant. Not cheap, small portions, but good.

There is plenty of street parking in front or behind the restaurant. The food looked great. The sausage pasta was very salty. The steak was cooked well but the char tasted like the grill needed to be cleaned. The desserts were excellent and the best part of the meal.

I was an out of town guest and my hosts had never been here even though it was in the neighborhood. Small, but elegant and very unassuming. Great service and food.

We've been back several times and it still is my favorite Italian restaurant. This time we had the black ink tagliatelle with rock shrimp, sea scallops, and saffron sauce and the tagliatelle with veal bolognese sauce. Both were very tasty. Both were delicious! I highly recommend this quaint jewel in crazy MDR.

Doesn’t look like much from the street; enter and the manic begins. Wonderful ambiance. Owners on site to greet you. Friendly, personable and unflappable in a active room.

Food was outrageous. Well-prepared, delicious and generous portions.

A gem!

Lovely small space, almost European feel. Totally non-pretentious. Gracious host (owner?, I think so) Interesting menu for Italian.
VERY NOISY when crowded.
Inexpensive valet.

The food is delicious. Home-made pastas: we had the spaghetti carbonara and rigatoni short-rib w/ a tomato cream sauce - both were amazing dishes along with the calamari and Gorgonzola salad to start. The service was warm and attentive. It was great for a date night, would be fun for an intimate dinner with friends and family too. The place has a very cozy and warm feel.

We went here for my birthday because the food in incredible, the service perfect and the ambiance lovely. It's a very small, cozy restaurant but the owners and staff go out of their way to make you comfortable and welcomed. Did I say the food was incredible?

We love It! I crave their red wine short rib paparadelle! Service is great, food is delicious! The additional seating in the building out back was a nice surprise! It has a small restaurant feel, but can fit more tables now!

Neighborhood gem in Marina. Tiny place with warm, upbeat vibes. Great service . Food was good , with excellent pear and arugula salad , Linguine with clams and crispy calamari and shrimp. Other dishes were just OK-- tagliatelle with shrimp and scallops in saffron had a sauce that was too thick and tiny shrimp- which , at $32, was surprising; chicken parm also pricey. Desserts not up to snuff. Will go back but order more cautiously, staying with plainer dishes. Nice selection of wines by the glass .

We have been at Locanda several times. This time was for our anniversary. As usual, the food was excellent and the service first rate. It's easy to drive by this gem as it's on busy Lincoln Blvd in Marina Del Rey but its well worth a visit. It's not cheap but it's worth it for what you get. The portions are good sized. we highly recommend it

It is unfortunate that a place with the ability’s to have charm made me and my party feel like they wanted us out the minute we walked in. Everything about the meal was rushed. They actually picked up our unfinished appetizers to quickly put down the main course. It was a very disappointing experience and I will never go back.

Our anniversary dinner was delicious as always. We love the intimate atmosphere. However, tonight there was a birthday party for 9 across from us which changed our usual quiet atmosphere into a much more loud environment. Also no mention of our anniversary or any acknowledgment despite adding that to our reservation. Oh well. We made the best of it.

Wow, was my party skeptical: Lincoln Boulevard? And yet there were those customer reviews...

We had a terrific meal: The best tuna carpaccio ever and an excellent short rib bolonese (sort of) rigatoni were standouts, but everything was delicious. Definitely a find.

We have been to this intimate Italian restaurant several times, and the food has always been excellent. The owners circulate in the small dining area and are open to answering questions about the food and wine choices. Our only complaint has been that the noise level can be quite high if all the tables are in use (as they were during our most recent visit there). If a few raucous folks fill the space with noise, quiet conversation becomes difficult. Despite this downside, we will be back.

YUMMY, YUMMY, YUMMY !!!! The only thing I can say is, "Sure wish you were open for lunch!". As with my first visit last month, the carpaccio, fried calamari, linguini vongole, and tiramisu were fabulous. Everyone is friendly and the service is impeccable. The restaurant is small and cozy which means it can get very loud. However, the epicurean experience outweighs a little noise. 😋

Going to Locando Positano is like going to Italy. The food is fabulous, authentic and well portioned. The restaurant is modest, but elegant. The Wine list has several great wines to select from to pair with the food. Recommend the Calamari, light and crisp with an excellent dipping sauce. The heirloom tomatoes are incredible with the best burrata cheese I have ever eaten. We had two pastas. My seafood pasta with a spice red sauce, was simply divine! We unfortunately were stuffed, so no Secundo. We did manage to share a tiramisu. Again, it tasted like we were actually in Positano! Molto Bene!

visited this place last time we were in LA with some friends, it is a quiet and beautiful spot in Marina del Rey. This time we took advantage of the fact that it is on the way to the airport, so we hit it up again and it does not disappoint. It reminds me of when I used to visit my family back in Roma. It is beautiful, warm and cozy with some stellar dishes that will leave you coming back for more.

Service was excellent, attentive but not hovering. Bread fresh, hot and good. The filet was THE best, tender, cooked to perfection with a lovely and flavorable Marsala sauce with plenty of sautéed mushrooms. Potatoes with spinach were excellent. The Di Noci E Gorgonzola salad was delicious and a nice presentation. The calamari at the adjacent table looked delicious and was confirmed by the diners "next door" The chicken Parmesan was above average with the light purée tomato sauce. I just prefer a richer/thicker more flavorable tomato sauce with fresh tomatoes.
Only concern: Very small restaurant, tables extremely close. When leaving, the couple next to us had to temporarily push their table to the left touching their close "neighbors" in order for us to leave... about 6-7" between tables. But, it's easy to strike up a conversation and everyone was friendly. We will return and enjoy again.
