   Everything was wonderful. Loved our waiter who gave us good advice on everything from our drinks to the desserts. The appetizers we'd chosen - Arancini and Cockle were outstanding. All four of us enjoyed our entrees and then chose 2 desserts - the zeppole and the limoncello cake. We decided we couldn't decide which dessert was better as they were both EXCELLENT. Thank you for a wonderful time. We appreciate the you allowed us to enjoy our meal and spend valued time with our friends.

   Had a wonderful, memorable first experience here last might with my adult children for my birthday. The cocktails were unique, reflecting Italian flavors, beautifully presented and delicious. The appetizers were nicely crafted with special house-made sauces. And the meals were equally great. The meat-lovers pizza had a variety of tasty Italian meats, excellent sauce and cheese and just the right amount of charring on the edges of the crust from the wood-fired oven though it was still somehow soft & chewy underneath surface! The pasta was so fresh and tender - I could tell just by cutting through it with my fork, before I took my first bite. The service was so gracious, friendly and fun. I think we were served by one of the co-owners and he was genuine Italian with all the verve and style that you would imagine. He really made the whole experience memorable and special. This is a cut above the other restaurants in downtown Pleasanton, particularly the several other Italian places that range from weak to "above average". This one's first-rate, definitely worth a try.

   This was my first visit to this restaurant and had an excellent meal. Talked with Enzo about the flours they use to make the pizza dough. Very authentic! Great flavor in everything we ate. Excellent attentive care. Great value overall. Will be going back...often!

    We had a lovely time last night. The servers were so great and even gave us some shots to celebrate the 2 birthdays at the table. The restaurant was hopping for a Wed night! Got loud but we just talked louder! :) The food was very good and came out quickly. Thank you for a great evening.

    I met a friend here for lunch and we had a great time. Our server Angel was perfect. Our server Angel made sure we were taken care of and have us great food & drink recommendations. Angel was THE BEST. The service was impeccable. Thank you for an amazing time. The coccole was so delicious and the cocktails were yummy!! Thank you!!!

    Very loud and crowded place with poor quality tables and chairs lined up in rows that resemble a cafeteria more than a restaurant. Very loud inside, especially with the way the tables are packed together. The food was so-so. The pizzas looked good, but the bolognese my wife had tasted like it came from a can. The braised short rib was over cooked and not very flavorful. This was a birthday dinner and had made a reservation noting that and told the waiter when we were seated. Two other tables nearby also celebrated birthdays and had a cannoli and limoncello sent to the table, plus singing from the waitstaff. We got nothing, but the bill. Regardless of this oversight we will never go back because of the atmosphere and poor food quality.

    service was outstanding but the food was just ok for what you pay. $12 for a kids small bowl of pasta with red sauce, $3.50 for a kids small lemonade and $23 for around 6 butternut squash ravioli. too much! they serve a small loaf of bread which was quickly cleared away before our dinner arrived. who doesn’t want bread with pasta? I had to ask for more which seemed odd to them.

    I chose this spot for our early Valentines dinner based on the menu, which had several items that sounded delicious. We made a reservation ahead of time, which I’d recommend due to the small sized restaurant inside. (They do have outside dining). We were greeted and seated right away. They had Valentines decorations throughout the restaurant, which was a nice touch. Although the restaurant doesn’t have the most comfortable chairs and they do have tables pretty close together, the ambience was still nice for Valentine’s Day and there was nice music and soft lighting so it wasn’t bright lights throughout. Our waiter was attentive and recommended dinner plates that were popular, and when I couldn’t decide on my entrée, he suggested the one that was a favorite among diners, and it did not disappoint. There was too many items to decide on that sounded so good for appetizers. I chose the polenta trio with the different sauces, and though it was good, I wasn’t overly enthusiastic about the sauces that were paired with It. My husband ordered the Caesar salad and he enjoyed that. For our dinner entrées, he had the squid ink linguine with clams and I ordered the homemade gnocchi with truffle sauce, which was amazing - so fresh and yummy. For dessert, I had heard that the lemoncillo was delicious and I confirmed that with our waiter. Even though I don’t typically order lemon desserts, it was very good. My husband had the chocolate cake with vanilla gelato, and though it was very rich, he ate every delectable bite. At the end of our meal, our waiter gave us complementary dessert shots. I cannot say all that was in them, but it tasted a little like caramel, so it wasn’t bad and a nice way to end the meal. We will definitely be back. We had one of our best meals ever at this restaurant.

    Food was excellent, as was the service. The outdoor dining space is lovely and has plenty of heated lamps. As a nice touch, the restaurant also includes blankets for the outside diners during colder weather. Locanda Amalfi has the best Brussels Sprouts and their Naples style pizza is amazing. A favorite dish of ours is the Lobster Ravioli. For dessert, the Zeppilini is a must have and eaten warm. Locanda Amalfi never disappoints.

    This restaurant is Amazing. I have been here three times in the last two months and I love the staff, food, and hospitality. If you want true Italian food and great wine make sure to visit this beautiful place. Thank you for always sharing a terrific food experience.

    Service is always fantastic. Food was great (particularly their signature fish) except for the donuts with Nutella dessert. Ridiculously chewy and not pleasant to eat. Biggest issue is how crazy loud it is in the dining room. You should not have to yell to have a conversation or speak with your server. We will be back but only in warmer months when we can sit outside. It’s that loud inside.

    Excellent drinks from the bar. Food fair from last night was fair, calamari could’ve been cooked much longer to make it crispier and the chicken was way over cooked! Lamb chops were not cooked as requested. First to arrive to beat the rush and the rush occurred at about 5:15 on, packed, so kitchen may have been slammed! The table service was phenomenal……

    The pizza crust is thin, pillowy and the burrata + prochuitto + arugula was a superb blend of flavors. The seasonal salad was rich with blue cheese and flavor. Attentive staff and convivial setting.

    I have been to the other Locanda restaurants in Danville and Lafayette many times but my first visit to this restaurant was quite disappointing. The quality of the food was lacking and the portion size, relative to the price charged for seasonal salad, was very small. For my main course I had the pappardelle bolognese which was okay but quite frankly I’ve had much dishes elsewhere. My husband’s pizza was very good but that was the highlight of our meal. My friends had ordered the salmon which again was okay but I’ve prepared better salmon at home. I would certainly return to the other two Locanda restaurants….Ravello and Positano which are excellent but I probably won’t make a return trip to Amalfi.

    Locanda Amalfi is my favorite restaurant on Main Street in Pleasanton! Their food, drinks and service are consistently wonderful. I’ve been here multiple times and have always had a great experience. My favorite is the Fritto Misto and their pizzas. I’ve tried almost all their pizzas and I just love the crust. Crispy, chewy and so good. Highly recommend!

    Our servers were very sweet and helpful. Got smoked Old Fashion which was excellent with meatballs as appetizers, to die for. Our server kept checking on us and filling our water. I order Raviolli Aragosta…absolutely fantastic
