Thanksgiving
We came here for dinner before a Clippers game against my better judgment as there was exactly zero people in the restaurant when we arrived. I made clear to our server i had peanut allergy, and he alerted the kitchen, but when my entree arrived it likely inadvertently had some peanut based ingredients contained therein, causing an allergic reaction reaction, and ruining the rest of my evening.
Birthday lunch. Very lovely space within the Mayfair Hotel. Highly recommended
Just enjoyed the fries; the filet mignon & ribeye was dry.
Super bad service. Terrible service. Quite disappointed. Right after we walked in, the waitress just told us " you can seat wherever you want" instead of leading us to the table, which seems to be very unprofessional for a restaurant like this. And the waitresses didn't periodically checked on us so we had to wait for a long time for services. There were another table without water for the longest time. The guy had to walk to the front entrance and tell the staff that they would like to have water.
Although the food was good but the service was just TERRIBLE for a restaurant like this. Not coming back again
This restaurant is so cute. The food was delicious, my only complaint is that I had reviewed the menu before going to restaurant and decided on the Spanish Chorizo & Potato Frittata only to be told that it was taken off the menu, thankfully the Prime Rib hash was really good. The restaurant was pretty empty during our visit so the attention we got from the staff was great. I will return.
Amazing dinner and service. Been a while since I’ve been to a place that made me feel this way.
I had the steak. Very good flavor but small portions. My friend had the chicken sandwich and enjoyed it.
The waitress was nice but the service was poor. There could not have been more than ten people in the restaurant but it took a while to take the order. I had to ask for the check.
I had a $50 open table gift card. When I went to use it, it was no longer in my profile. Eve had no record of it. I ended up having to pay for the meal. This is not entirely the fault of the restaurant. I remember when open table mailed paper checks that could be used at any restaurant for face value. The new rewards system sucks. I’ve had problems several times. The servers and or managers have no clue what I’m talking about. Open Table needs to fix this issue. I’m sure that I’m not the only person whose had problems with the new system.
If you're looking for a quiet place to go for a business meal, this is a good option because it's not crowded, has a decent amount of menu options (including healthy choices), and the decor is beautiful. Just don't expect prompt service. We were one of three tables in the entire restaurant and both the service and food took forever. Great ambiance, pretty decent food, not so great service.
The food was absolu
Great brunch spot! The food was great and the waitress was attentive with the bottomless mimosas
Celebrated my best friends birthday last night. Had a wonderful experience. The food was fantastic and the service was spot on. Definitely going to put Eve on my list of places to go if I want to impress. Thank you guys.
Great dinner! Pork belly is delicious
3 star restaurant in a 3 star hotel, decent eat if you’re staying at the hotel but I wouldn’t go back here for another date or special event.
The ambiance had a modern Great Gatsby feel. Everything from the starter dish to dessert was amazing. My husband and I had the DineLA menu so we can try a little bit of everything at a great deal ($39 with wine or 3 course for $29 without wine). The tuna tar tar was delicious (I must add I am a picky eater and rarely eat seafood so for me to like the tuna tar tar speaks volumes). The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Would highly recommended and would come back! So far this has been the best restaurant out of five we have tried during DineLA!
Beautiful dining room, friendly staff and good food. Heard one patron tell the waiter that if he were the chef she would tell him never to leave. We found the service a little slow considering how few parties were dining. But also considering how few people were there, it was very, very loud.
It's a lovely dining room that requires some character development? The food and service were good, we enjoyed ourselves but its missing something? That Buzz - how to stand out
Great food, ambiance and service. Just needs some more customers. We were the only ones there from 5:30 to 7:00!
What an unexpected gem! Loved the decor of the entire first floor and the restaurant, located in the Mayfair Hotel. Very art deco, high-end, glamourous design. Food was amazing, we loved every mouthful, from gazpacho soup, to short ribs, to melt-in-your-mouth desserts. I went during DineLA week or I probably would not have heard of it. Wonderful service too! I thought the cocktails were a little pricey, but otherwise, loved the place.
Eve is such a nice restaurant, the service is amazing. We really enjoyed the dine LA menu, the food options and food quantity exceed our expectations, the pasta and desert was the best. I will be visiting this place again, the bar next to the restaurant looks really cool and its all together. I over heard someone say that the restaurant had amazing drinks.
Four of us all with different entrees-duck ragout, chicken, scallops and filet mignon. All were excellent with generous portions. Appetizers-duck confit and spicy tuna were wonderful. Our server, Shujana was delightful and knowledgeable. The hotel lobby and lounge areas are worth taking a look at. If you are going to be in DTLA it’s a great place to dine.
Service: Even at the end of a long day, you can these people care about their customers. The manager was checking on everyone to make sure all was well.
10/10
Food: Had the roasted chicken which came with a side of mashed potatoes and some tomato based sauce/cream. The sauce I didn’t care for but to each their own. The mashed potatoes were good but I couldn’t tell if they were from scratch or a box; still good.
For dessert I had the Red Velvet churros with a hazelnut-chocolate dipping sauce. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Hats off to whomever invented this.
9/10
Ambiance: Classy, clean, and spotless. The decor was nice. The pillows at the end are super comfortable. One thing I’d ask for is to turn down the music a little more, and install some tint on the main doors as cars coming down the hill blind customers sitting at the end.
8/10
Value: Chicken was a little overpriced in my honest opinion, but I’m not from around here so I don’t know actual costs.
8/10
Overall: 8.5/10
Enjoyable brunch. Thanks
The actual place is beautiful and very trendy. The food was ok, not bad but I was expecting more since it had more than 4 stars reviews everywhere. It was nice to try something new but I don’t think I would go back
The food was good, especially the grilled octopus appetizer and the filet. The staff was also very nice. However, niceness is no substitute for competence, and we waited 20 minutes to get our cocktails (and it was not even crowded), then when they came, one glass was chipped and another had lipstick marks on it. Also, 2 of the 3 credit cards we used were overcharged! I'd like to see this restaurant get their act together and focus on the basics of efficient, accurate service so they can capitalize on their good menu and friendly staff.
One of the best in DTLA. Delicious food, friendly service, great prices, free parking, what more could you ask for? Also, it’s located inside the newly renovated Mayfair Hotel so there’s so much to see before / after dining. Would highly recommend!
For the price it definitely didn't meet my expectations.the meat was good but all of the sides and accompaniments were very disappointing.
Went to Eve for my boyfriend’s birthday (made reservations) for an early dinner at about 6pm before going to an event in the downtown area. The food was delicious and so were the drinks. The service was great. They were accommodating to my dietary restrictions and our waitress was very attentive. I really enjoyed my experience.
The food was great and the service was very accommodating. No issues adjusting menu items for preference and openly inquired about any dietary restrictions and the hotel valet service removed the headache of dining downtown. We will definitely add this to our go-to locations.
My second time there. Brought out of town family foI
My friends and I had a great experience. Our server (I think her name was Monique) was lovely and helped us pick out our menu items. The food was delicious and very affordable.
I’d recommend to anyone. My only thing which didn’t take away from the day at all was that the seats weren’t clean, there was some hair and crumbs but it wasn’t a big deal.
Lovely server, excellent food and the ambience was amazing.. a hidden gem in DTLA. The prices were so aligned with quality.
Great service. We went on Easter Sunday for brunch and it was super quiet. Not sure where is anyone. Waitress was smiling the entire time and very attentive.
We love the decor, the place is smaller than what I expect but was done in great taste.
Food was good. Fried French toast, eggs Benedict (potatoes a bit dry) and salmon blinis all tastes good. Bottomless mimosas- need I say more?
Overall a great experience. Wish it was more crowded and more energy, I would bring friends here for brunch.
The food was uneventful. The Rose wine options were boring and mislabeled. One wine was labeled a Côte du Rhône and Provence at the same time. The waitress was very pleasant.
I was tempted by the steaks but on the menu it had steak sauce... which could be a sign that the steak is not great, but would be ok with the sauce.
The food was not bad but did not think worth the detour.
Loved the type of food - Lebanese Armenian food. We ordered four dishes and shared, using our delicious pita bread to fill our food (like a mid-Eastern taco). Delicious strong coffee. I gave 4 stars because of inconvenient parking about a block away.
Located in what some refer to as "City West" in the Historic Mayfair Hotel it is a welcome surprise. While the restored hotel does have old world charm outside, it sits in an area that has not seen as much gentrification around it. Simply, we were not sure what to expect but we walked in and saw the lobby and it's breathtaking bar we were happily stunned. The restaurant itself has a great menu, is reasonable priced, especially the wine list and the staff is very friendly. The ceiling in the restaurant is a bit low, but that is about the only thing I can think of that is a remote draw back.
Great atmosphere
Service was lovely! Staff was attentive and knowledgeable of menu. The appetizers (octopus and tuna) were visually appealing and the food was solid. The entrees were not as appealing (beef cheek) felt like tip of the line first class airline food and the rotisserie prime rib was cooked to perfection but lackluster in flavor. The wine options are all Californian, which is a personal hardship as we prefer old world wines from Spain and Italy. After two tastings, we picked a known wine and it delivered.
Service could have been a bit more polished. Small things to fix but needs to happen if you want return customers
Beautiful venue, our fish and chips were the best I've had in a long while. The truffle fries are highly recommended. Overall a great location for lunch, I will have to try it for dinner.
