Local Three Ratings and Reviews
It was a horrible experience and I was embarrassed to have taken out of town guest there- it would make me think twice before rebooking or having a business event there again. We waited 45 minutes with our reservation. They also had a big sign at the check in area saying how they were transitioning to a better system then open table which I felt was tacky.
Weekend brunch is fantastic. I don't like buffets because of the food-safety sketchiness and children that touch everything BUT- this is the one exception for me. Local three brunch is an all-you-can-eat where you get to go through the kitchen and select what you like from their offerings of the day. The food is always VERY fresh, constantly maintained/eyed by the chefs (right behind the counter), and I have never seen a child go through the line alone; the health and food safety side of me rejoices here. I can confinently eat anything here based off of the signage, the staff availability and the quality of the food and service. This visit I came with a friend who has severe tree nut allergies- not something that I would normally suggest for a buffet... however, the chefs were available for any and all questions and made sure that the ingredients were double checked and that nothing had been cross-contaminated. My friend had an amazing time and is excited to go back! Local Three is one of my favorite spots in Atlanta and always leaves me feeling valued, happy, and very full.
We loved the ambiance of this little restaurant in BH! Our server was just wonderful! My Manhattan was delicious! My food was good but not great! I had rib-meat and it was a bit overcooked. We will come back and see if we can find something on the menu we like as well as the restaurant! :)
Selection of brunch items and quality were really very good. Everything on the menu is available. The food is served in their kitchen and you can go back as many times as you like. Service could not have been better. Plan to camp out for a while since you'll want to taste everything on the menu.
We went for a girls brunch (none of us had been there for this particular meal) and were so pleasantly surprised by the 'all you can eat' concept & their offering. It was such a different dining experience and really allowed you to sample a variety of delicious brunch foods! We've already made plans to go back!
Our waiter provided great service and was able to be very detailed in providing information regarding wine selections and food descriptions. The truffle parmesan popcorn was sooo good! Be sure to start with that while deciding on everything else. Our appetizers were delicious however the kitchen messed up and sent out our entrees within 2 minutes of receiving our appetizers. The waiter apologized for this mess-up and sent out a desert for us on the house. We selected fish entrees and everything was done very well. We will return.
We had read reviews that the heat doesn't work in the space. I called ahead and was told that with the door opening repeatedly it is hard to keep the space warm. This is no excuse as the "door" is inside and down the hall of an office building so no cold air comes in from there. But, all the employees had multiple layers on. We were seated towards the back of the restaurant and we were not cold, despite very cold temps outside but it is obviously a problem from time to time. It would be totally unacceptable to arrive and sit with jackets on inside this establishment so they need to remedy whatever the true problem is. If the temps are okay, it is a great restaurant.
This was my second time dining here and it’s even better! My husband and I shared several apps (wings and Brussel sprouts) and each had an entree. The McDowell is one of the best burgers in Atlanta and the half chicken was cooked to perfection. I won’t go on because menu changes frequently but this restaurant knows what it’s about! I highly recommend for foodies and a fun evening out!
WE WENT FOR SUNDAY BRUNCH AND ENJOYED THE FOOD BUT WHEN I SPEND $100+ FOR 2 PEOPLE, I DON'T EXPECT TO HAVE TO KEEP MY INSULATED PATAGONIA OVERCOAT ON WHILE I EAT. THE OWNERSHIP NEEDS TO GET THIS RESOLVED, NOT BLAME IT ON THEIR LANDLORD (EVEN IF THEY ARE TO BLAME). I WON'T BE BACK ON A WEEKEND DAY (OR NIGHT) UNTIL SPRING.
I felt like we were on a scavenger hunt when trying to find this place, but it was well worth it. The ambiance felt more like LA, than ATL, or maybe ATL is changing faster than I realized. Anyway, we went there for New Year's Day Brunch and LOVED everything about it.
Our party of 5 enjoyed dinner at Local Three for New Years Eve dinner. We enjoyed the ambiance and delicious cocktails. The restaurant had a fixed menu for the special night. Personally, I was not crazy about my dish. I ordered the lobster as my main course and it was just okay. Everything else was pretty good. The service was outstanding. I would like to try this restaurant on a regular night and see if the food just blows me away.
This meal was awesome, but I wish that we had been notified prior to making our reservation that Local Three would only be serving a pre-fixed menu. Was not planning on spending $150+ for a meal for two tonight. Usually, we spend $60 for two but it was ridiculous that we showed up expecting to spend that much and spent more than double. If restaurants are going to do special New Years menus that are way more expensive than normal, they should notify Open Table users. We spent so much more than planned and it actually ruined our night. Unacceptable.
