This was my second visit to this restaurant and again I was very impressed with the food quality and taste.
Unique brunch experience where you walk essentially into the kitchen.
Normally I love this place, but I was very upset that due to some sort of miscommunication between Local Three and Open Table, it was not reflected that there was a Valentines Day Price Fixed menu that night, even though it was not actually Valentine's Day, and that we could not order off the full menu. I was not notified of this until literally 10 minutes before my reservation time, and at that point it was too late to make plans somewhere else, which I would have done if I had more time.
Very good food. Could use a bigger selection of wines. Appetizer and main course was very good. Desert left a lot to be desired. Overall, nice experience.
The food is ALWAYS amazing! Every dish is opulent. Local three is consistently the best restuarant in Atlanta.
Great good! Staff were super nice! Will definitely head back soon!
Valentine’s Day. Very good meal and service.
Just not on Valentine’s Day, much better any other time.
First off, the good(s): 5 stars for our waiter PJ! He was great and accommodating. Actually, 5 stars for all of the staff we encountered today. The young man, with the beautiful curly brownish gold hair (I did not get his name), brought my water when I arrived and was very helpful with the description of the Sunday buffet process. This was my first time and I was clueless, even after reading the reviews. I expected something different and he cleared it up for me. The young ladies at the hostess stand were very nice and helpful as well.
The restaurant validates parking, which is a plus after you see how much the garage charges to park there.
Food was delicious! There was only one item I did not like, blueberry cornbread. It was not my cup of tea but I figured I'd try it...live on the edge.
Less good but definitely not bad: I only gave the restaurant 4 stars because the food selection was not very vast. A majority of what we ate today was very delicious but the selection was lacking for the $30 ($29.93) price tag. The bacon was delish, just thought I'd throw that in there!
The service was a little slow but they recognized it and made up for it. Overall a great meal.
One of our favorites!
Had to wait over 30 minutes for a table even though we had a reservation.
Very tasty and unique brunch offerings. The Bloody Marys and Bellinis were excellent.
Our server Keon was excellent. He made great recommendations. We had no issues getting seated, however we did change seats due to them putting us by the windows. We had clam chowder, salad, & octopus for appetizer. Everything was great with those. I had the Ribeye with truffle fries, it came out warm instead of hot but it was well prepared. My wife had the pork chop with sweet potatoes. She did not care for the taste of sweet potatoes. For dessert, we had had the Sticky Toffee Pudding....it came out cold with the toffee being warm. If everything had come out warm it would have been great. Keon did remove it from our bill. We did not have drinks. Overall I give it 4 stars and 5 stars to Keon.
It's a good place. I think we just got poor service. We got their before anyone at lunch and we were the last ones to leave. We didn't get our food very quickly. Drinks were forgotten, etc.
We will try again, but they should regularly take inventory of their wait-staff to ensure it's top-notch.
Always a great lunch spot.
I was unimpressed with the pork tacos at lunch. I have enjoyed dinner there in the past. I will still go back because of previous good experiences.
Have been here a few times and always enjoy the brunch.
Service was very slow. Waited a long time for appetizers and one drink from the bar. Food was fresh and good.
Usually one of our favorite spots, but we had a new server who was really slow to come around, charged us more than he should have, and didn't seem to know the menu well.
Terrific dining experience all the way around. The dishes were delicious and the staff was excellent. We've dined at Local Three a number of times and this occasion ranked as one of the best.
Food and setup were great. Seating was easy and the place was fun and casual, but not noisy. Coffee and drink service was slow, though. The server took note after a comment and "thawed" a little. We'll be back, though. "...can't argue with delicious."
Salad and beverages were very good. entrées Not so good .. aged pork chop very tough, chicken snitzel over cooked .. desert was ok.. overall disappointed
Food was amazing
Great vibe with consistently outstanding food.
Our meals were outstanding.... Server was VERY chatty with the table next to us and made us wait for our check..
Pork chop over cooked. Food was generally poorly seasoned. It was a sleepy meal.
My party and I had a wonderful time and I cannot wait to return.
We were the first guests to arrive in an empty restaurant but told our party of 4 could only have a "high top". After pressure we were given a table tight against a wall. The beef is poor quality, cut paper thin and under a heat lamp, dry and tasteless. One salad item. No vegetables unless you count potatoes. Perhaps if it were $5 more per person they can offer better quality. This was brunch. Other meals may be very different (I hope).
The food was delicious, and our waiter, who said he had only been working there 3 days, was phenomenal. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and very attentive without being intrusive or rushing our meal.
Honestly disappointed in our Sunday brunch. Service was great and walking in kitchen for food was fun - the food itself; however, was very mediocre! Expected better flavors and higher quality than really just the basics.
Food was great but took an hour from being seated to have appetizers delivered. Lot of excuses about a new system being implemented. Unsure why Friday night would’ve been a good choice to implement a new computer system. Drinks were very slow to arrive as well. Food was great as always and I’m hoping this arrive experience was an anomaly but was definitely disappointed with the service. We actually considered canceling our dinner orders and relocating to another restaurant.
Perfect way to start the new year. Loved everything presented from the kitchen and will definitely make this a yearly tradition (in addition to other visits too).
As usual, Local 3 had a great brunch with unusual but delicious new and seasonally appropriate twists on old favorite meals.
We are relatively new to the area and have eaten here twice now... this is for sure going to be a go-to local spot for us! The food is absolutely fantastic and unique - its creative, sophisticated, properly portioned, and visually appealing! The service has been exceptional, and we love the vintage salt and pepper shakers! A must visit if you are in the area!
We are regulars at Local Three. Usually love the food and cocktails. NYE was a huge disappointment. Food was just not good. Tuna tartar was off flavored and pop chips were not a good accompaniment. My sole was great but others at my table got the lasagna and hated it. On to dessert. Chocolate cake...absolutely worst dessert ever. So dry like cardboard and peppermint icing layers were like chalk. It was not edible, others got the PB cheesecake which was also very odd tasting. I hate to write such a bad review but I believe the chefs need to know when things don’t work. It was an expensive tab and the food was not good.
We went for the New Year’s Eve prix fixe menu and it was magnificent. All of the flavors were amazing, the wine pairings were delightful and the service was tremendous. Once again Chris Hall and team delivered a masterpiece of food experience.
We went there for NYE, which I know is difficult. The place was nice, and the staff were very friendly, but they took a full 30 minutes to seat us even though we had a reservation. I ordered the most expensive steak, and it was dry and flavorless. Two other people at the table ordered the same and agreed. My wife had the lasagna and it was also bad. Desert was also unimpressive. Overall very disappointing considering the price. I have had lunch there twice before and it was good, so maybe it was just the NYE menu.
Blue plate special is an amazing deal. I had wings and fries for $9 and didn't need dinner that day
