Local Kitchen & Beer Bar
Very good food. Many gluten-free options.
Food was good. Waited a bit long for food.
I have now eaten at Local Kitchen twice and both times had very good food and service. The only knock was that the second time, even though we had a reservation, we didn't get seated until over 30 minutes after the time of our reservation. It was disappointing since we had a post-meal commitment and didn't get to enjoy our meal in as leisurely fashion as we would have liked. I would still recommend Local Kitchen.
Took a group. Service was excellent and everyone had a good meal. Good variety on the menu and great beer selection.
This was our second trip here and it's a good option for casual dining. It's more than bar food but not fine dining. Most menu choices are priced $12-22 with a mix of apps, sandwiches and entrees. Menu advertises locally sourced ingredients. Wine list is limited.
Very friendly staff, food came out quick and hot. Good food, local feel. Would definitely go back.
I really did enjoy the Toasted sesame ahi tuna salad! And each of the winter seasonal beers we had we're fun and tasty. We would definitely recommend
Service was horribly slow but the food was good.
I went with my sister for brunch before a show. I had checked the menu online before making a reservation. Unfortunately over half of the items online were not on the menu. Very disappointing, but what we had was good.
Got the recommendation from one of the staff at hotel we're staying at. Have to say it was top notch right from the start..5 min walk from hotel, & we were seated right away! In and out within 45 minutes to make the Sabres hockey game..We split the beef on wick & the short ribs poutine. Both were EXCEPTIONAL!! If i could have gotten away with licking the dish clean i would have!! We'll definitly return for another meal..could have ordered 3 more entrees that we wanted to try!!!
Great local spot! My small party needed a pre-Shea's dinner option and we decided to try out Local Kitchen. The beer list/drink options overall were great and the food options did not disappoint either. Especially impressed with the appetizers.
Dinner with teen age kids; Everyone was thrilled with their dinner! We do miss the giant Pizza Log, though. Wish you would bring that back!!
We've repeatedly dined at Local Kitchen as our pre-theatre go-to place. We always have outstanding food, friendly, well-paced service. Simply a downtown gem.
I love Local Kitchen! Every time we go there the food is awesome and very tasty. The service is right on and everyone is super friendly. You can’t beat the hometown atmosphere with lots Buffalo memorabilia. Super close and within walking distance to Sheas.
Love that they do not serve any food that was frozen and serve locally grown food!!
Good locally sourced food. A bit noisy. Delicious desserts. I had the Cheektowaga Plate, braised short ribs over potato pirogi. 5 stars! Good craft beer menu.
we went for dinner prior to seeing Hamilton on the night before thanksgiving....we were thinking service would be slow on that night. we were wrong! Dinner was served quickly, and everything was delicious! we will definetly be returning for dinner again
Food and service were great. No low table seating though which was a challenge for the grandparents in the group.
Great selection of food served quickly. Large portions. Friendly and quick bar service. We will be back.
Great food as always. Selection is wide but not overwhelming. Some places have such a small menu it's tough to go with a group as some people find it difficult to find something to eat. Place is lively, but not too loud for conversations.
Great food, good service!
Good food and service
Loved everything about it.
Dined with 4 people and the food was excellent however the menu online didn't reflect what was available the server said it hadn't been updated and he had a couple of people asking for the same thing
We had a great experience at local! Our service was phenomenal and the food was even better than expected! They were very accommodating of our time frame for Shea’s. I would definitely go back for dinner and drinks!
When we got there we had to show ID to get in and were told that even though we had reservations that it could be awhile before we would get to sit down as the Halloween bar crawl was going on. We had concert tickets so we didn’t really have time to just wait around. Luckily we ended up being taken right to a table.
The food was great and the service was pretty good. I wasn’t done with my pretzel stick (had it on my little app plate in front of me) when someone came by and took the basket they had been served in which also still contained the dipping sauces. So I had to eat my pretzel without any sauce.
The beer selection is great and our drinks/food came pretty quickly. My only other complaint was that the music was SUPER loud. I get that there was some sort of event going on in a way, but it was pretty much impossible to have any kind of conversation with the rest of my group.
Went here for dinner on a slow Sunday evening with 2 others. Service was fast, super friendly and attentive. I had the Tuxedo Ahi Salad, it was great and the ginger slaw was SO good! I can't wait to go back. Good beer list, companions recommend the cocktails.
We love this place especially for Sunday brunch. My one criticism would be they utilize all cocktail style tables. they have only 1 booth to accomodate 4 to 5 people. We usually bring my elderly mother and she has a very difficult time with the seating. I myself am not comfortable with the seating. I wish they could have a few more dining style tables so there would be more comfortable seating choices. But, we do love it there, great food & service.
The service and food were amazing. My husband and I had a great time. We will definitely return!
First visit to this restaurant turned out to be amazing. Food was outstanding, Drinks were great
and atmosphere was perfect!
Dinner before a show at Shea’s
The food was top notch. The salads were large, the steak was cooked nicely, and the service was excellent.
If your looking for a casual dining , bar atmosphere this is a good place. Food was good, reasonsable priced. Would go back!
The food was very good and reasonably priced. The waitress was excellent. We did wish they had some low tables though, and not just high tops.
Just a nice place. Great food at a reasonable price.
Excellent meal...Cheektowaga polka which had potato pierogi and short braised ribs was delicious!! My favorite meal and we will be back for it. Don't take it off the menu please. Oh yeah...the doughnut dessert w ice cream was perfect ending... yum!
Food was typical bar food although the fried fish entree was pretty good!
We did not stay because they only had a limited menu for Sundays and this was not indicated in their website.
Had a wonderful time and meal with friends. Sat outside on a lovely evening.
Nice place but nothing stood out to make it memorable. The food was OK and the beer selection was pretty good.
