Went with another couple. Place wasn't crowded so they let us take our time ordering drinks and food. Quality was very good as always
The service was friendly and efficient, the food was really good. Two in our party had the beef on weck platter with wings; both said it was very good. One had the beer and pepper soup along with the pulled pork poutine. Even though the poutine was an app, the serving size was ginormous. I had the chicken stripes which were drizzled with a unique and tasty cranberry butter sauce which I really enjoyed. The only downside was that the only available seating is bar-height tables and stools. Since we are an older group, this was not as comfortable for us. Overall, it was a delicious and fun evening in a busy restaurant with super-friendly servers, so the seating was only a minor setback for us.
It was our first time there and it was excellent, from the food to the service, will definitely be back
We ate here before a concert on Saturday. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We were in and out pretty quickly without being rushed. The only complaint was it was a little warm inside. Definitely recommend though!
We arrive at 8:30 on a Wednesday. Several tables were occupied. We were greeted and waited on in good time. The waitress was friendly & knowledgeable - she made a beer recommendation that was just great. My wife had the chicken and I the Ahi Tuna. Both were generous servings and very good. My wife ordered the house salad that include a good variety of veggies. We enjoyed our experience and would go back.
Third time here! Great service, excellent food and oh those drinks! This place has the formula down, terrific menu, waitstaff that is attentive knowledgeable and not in your face every two minutes. Food comes quickly and presentation is awesome. Cannot say enough about this place. Thank you for an enjoyable dinner before our show at Babeville.
Turkey sandwich with candied bacon is awesome! Also enjoyed the winter bourbon smash cocktail. Service very good.
We had a table of 8...
Solid decision to order wings as a table appetizer- they were very good, above average (which is very hard to do in Buffalo... everyone liked them)
We also liked the choices for beer,
Food was good, definitely would visit again.
Dinner before Sheas. Great service/food.
Tom was an EXCELLENT waiter! Lenten Fridays in Buffalo and fish fries were sold out! What we did end up ordering was good though. Nice place for pub fare in Downtown Buffalo!
Service was exceptional (nice job Savanah). She provided helpful recommendations, was friendly and obviously enjoyed her role.
Food was plentiful and prepared well. Buffalo combo (wings with beef on weck) and burger were worth going back for.
Décor and casual feel make this a great lunch choice, quiet and easy to have a conversation
Qe.arrived early and decided to sit at the bar for some cocktails. Good variety of specialty drinks, long beer list and good wine list too. The bartender was prompt and courteous. Eventually we went to our table and ordered. The menu listed on open table is not accurate to what's on the current menu. We had the beef on weck rolls, they were good. I had the Delaware park chicken sandwich and the wife had the berry BLT. Everything was good and fairly priced. We will come.back for sure.
Great place to catch dinner before a game great drink and food selection and excellent service.
The food was excellent, our waiter was great! It was a little food Smokey smelly in there but the overall experience was great!
It was a group of 8 and the service was on point. The waitress very friendly and helpful.
Went before a concert , great service , out within 1 hour . Great food, great service !
Love the food
We arrived at 5PM for our reservation and noticed that it was a lot quieter than many bars on Chippawa, far fewer drunken-looking students around. We had the Larken Flatbread as an appetizer which was very interesting and delicious. For me it could have been a bit crispier, but my wife liked it as it was. She had the Crab Cakes and I had the Cheetawoga Polka. Both were very tasty, the crab cakes wit a nice crust and sauce and the Polka with good Pierogi and shredded beef. i wouldn't call it gourmet food, more comfort food that was very nice. We would go back.
Our party of four had the quesadillas, Mac and cheese with almond chicken and the baked turkey bacon sandwich with fries. The food was good and served piping hot. We would definitely return. This restaurant is within walking distance to Sheas and the food is reasonably priced.
Great atmosphere. Food is unique and well priced. Our server Tom was knowledgeable and friendly. Owner Pete was welcoming and friendly. A great experience that we will return for.
Good food, reasonable prices, very good service.
Everything was great! The food is always fantastic, just wish there was more of a selection.
I went to Local before a Sabres game and it was great as usual. Food was good, service was good. Not too noisy. The server got our food right away because we were going to the game. I really like Local and would definitely recommend it.
Server was excellent!!! Food delish. Fries so so. Love the menu. Definately would go hack
Family date night before Shea’s. We had never been here before. I had never heard of this restaurant before and found by a Google search for restaurants near Shea’s. We will definitely come back! Especially since it's a very rare occasion when everyone at the table loves their food. 😁
We were seated as soon as we got there for our reservation. Our server was knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. The food was really good. We will visit again
Great food, great service, great fun. By far, my favorite place to eat in Buffalo!
This has become my favorite restaurant in downtown Buffalo. I love everything here. The cocktails, appetizers, wings, entrees. I have not been disappointed with anything I've tried.
Great night out with friends! Excellent food and lots of beers to choose from.
This was the 6th or so time we've been to Local Kitchen. Food was very good as always. The issues this time was the background music (way too loud) and the sequencing of the food. Typically we wait to order dinner until after the apps have come, but we've never had a problem before so we didn't. We weren't half way through the apps and soup when dinner came. In and out in 50 minutes. I realize it's not a romantic dinner restaurant, but it was bordering on fast food service. The place was 1/2 empty so no reason to rush us. We've gone with other couples before, but would be hesitant to do so again given the noise level and the lack of time to sit an chat.
We made reservations and our table was prepped and ready for us/right on time. Excellent servers, service and food every time we have dined at Local.
A nice place for a casual bite before a show over at Shea’s. A great selection of beer on tap and a chef with a unique take on locally source cuisine.
We came for dinner before heading across the street to go to a concert. They have an impressive beer list. I had the Nickel City mac-n-cheese, which was delicious. My fiancé had the Delaware chicken sandwich, which was also very good. This was our second time dining here and we had excellent service again. We will definitely be back.
We love Local Kitchen. We try and go once a month. My husband enjoys their craft beer selection. The food is always great and staff is very friendly.
We had some sandwiches very good
Our server was great I cant-remember his name -
Two min walk from Westin downtown Buffalo.
Very good food. Many gluten-free options.
Food was good. Waited a bit long for food.
I have now eaten at Local Kitchen twice and both times had very good food and service. The only knock was that the second time, even though we had a reservation, we didn't get seated until over 30 minutes after the time of our reservation. It was disappointing since we had a post-meal commitment and didn't get to enjoy our meal in as leisurely fashion as we would have liked. I would still recommend Local Kitchen.
Took a group. Service was excellent and everyone had a good meal. Good variety on the menu and great beer selection.
This was our second trip here and it's a good option for casual dining. It's more than bar food but not fine dining. Most menu choices are priced $12-22 with a mix of apps, sandwiches and entrees. Menu advertises locally sourced ingredients. Wine list is limited.
