Valentines dinner. Enjoyed the optional 3 course set menu. Traveling Broadway specialty cocktail is reason enough to return.

Went in on Valentine’s Day before getting pedicures and just wanted something to tide us over. Ended up with a charcuterie board of delicious samplers both local and abroad. Service was great and even on a slammed holiday conversation was kept quite intimate. Didn’t have any drinks but I can tell you from experience the bartenders are well versed in classic and creative cocktails.

Took my girlfriend for Valentine's dinner, we enjoyed hand crafted cocktails with the recommendation of the bartender. Our dinner was delicious, the Brussels had so much have flavor and our pizza was so fresh.

Brunch was absolutely incredible!!! The Big Bottom Brunch Mimosas were wonderful!!! Wait staff took great care of us. The chicken and waffles was delicious and my friends all enjoyed their meals as well!

Local 22 seems to be a very popular place. The wait-staff are exceptional. The food is very good...from someone who cares about the quality of food they eat. Great choice for either lunch or dinner.

This was our first visit to Local 22. We celebrated my husband's birthday. Very fun atmosphere and excellent selection of specials. It's definitely a place that prides itself on using local ingredients. The volume in the restaurant got increasingly louder as the night went on making it a little difficult to hear each other talk. But overall, we had a great experience and will definitely recommend it to others!

We ate Local 22 during Triangle Restaurant week. The food was excellent. My only issues were that the restaurant was really loud and it was difficult to converse and the temperature inside was a little to high.

I had such high expectations for this restaurant based on the menu. I went for triangle restaurant week and did the 3 course dinner menu. Overall I felt like everything was fine, but I wasn’t blown away. I wish the kale, quinoa, butternut salad had been warm so the kale would’ve wilted a bit, the burrito bowl had been a bit less oniony, and the pot de creme a little less rich and dense. I thought the restaurant was beautiful. Loved the way everything looked and I enjoyed my unique cocktail, chaos on the cape. It wasn’t too sweet and used Durham’s local Bedlam vodka. Friends who got the burgers enjoyed their dinner more. Our wait staff was attentive but not pushy which I liked. They did have a nice outdoor seating area which could be really nice when the weather is good. Our dinner wrapped up in a hurry around 10:15 when we were the last table and they turned the lights down and cranked up some music to hurry us on our way. Overall, they didn’t leave me itching to return right away.

The food during restaurant week was not good. I have eaten a burger here before which was fine, nothing to rave about, but I thought perhaps for Restaurant Week they would have showcased some good food. The meat I had was fatty and the taste profile was just not there. I like the restaurant atmosphere in general as it was inviting, but I would not be inclined to go back for dinner. Instead maybe just appetizers and drinks.

Made reservation for early in eve, which was good since within short time it was pretty full. Food was good, burger special nice sauce. Cheese plate a bit lacking: cheeses nothing special and straight out of store packaging it seemed, cold; toasted ?wheat bread that was crisp and chewy with no redeeming quality; good grain mustard and kalamatas. Service great - until after served and then waiter disappeared; water filled by others, but very hard to get check and then to actually pay and then get final receipt. But nice chance to catch up w friend; she thought it was best burger she's had.

I come here often and usually have a great experience. Tonight, out Overall dinner experience was just decent. The food was ok. I got the lamb special, which the server recommended, but was not to my taste which I expressed to her. The rest of the table enjoyed their meals though. The server/busser started to clear the empty plates from the table and tried to clear mine as well even though there was more than half left.
I do love this restaurant, but had this been my first time dining I probably wouldn’t come back.

Entrees and sides were very good. Flourless chocolate cake was a bit dry and disappointing. Service was quite good. Prices were about right for what you get.

Booked a table for 5 for dinner, the hostess seemed confused at the number of guests and sat us at a 4 person table without a fifth chair that made it awkward and we ended up having to move to a different table so the fifth seat wouldn't block the server station. A little more planning would have made a better impression on us.
Other than that the food was fantastic!

We had a party of 12 for dinner. The manager/owner was very rude to us when we moved the extra chair at our table. He also berated an employee for not going to the back to wash dishes instead of helping another member of the wait staff. Our group spent over $600 for dinner that evening but will not be spending another dime there because of the manager/owner’s attitude towards us as customers and how he treated his employee.

Too noisy for my friend and me, but problem was from one loud table. Once the loud mouth left, that party quieted down and we were able to enjoy (and hear) ourselves. Management really should keep an ear out for overly loud tables and ask those people to have a little consideration for other diners

Was looking for this type of restaurant in Durham to take out of town friends that was not too expensive, not too casual with a good variety on the menu...it fit the bill perfectly! Good food options, local and southern spin and the wait staff was superb! Small in size, but has outdoor seating for warm weather. Will definitely go back again!

We have been here several times but it will probably be a long time before we go back. The menu had changed so we were excited to try it. The chicken wings were good but they arrived without blue cheese. We asked the server for the blue cheese and he did not reply, and just got snarky and walked away. He did bring us some but was not very pleasant. My son ordered a burger($10) and loaded fries as a side($8). The burger arrived without the fries and he was half way through his burger before they arrived, I believe the server forgot to order them. The food is all al a carte and I mean $18 for burger and fries with cheese and bacon is a little too pricey. We have too many places in the area that are better and cheaper. I really wanted to try the Brussel sprouts to go with my scallops and black bean/corn succotash but I am not willing to spend $10 on a vegetable.

In town for a business trip and wanted to find a good dinner choice near Durham. I made reservations at Local 22 based off great reviews on Open Table and Yelp. The rustic decor was cool and when we were arrived (6:00 pm) most guests were seated at the bar or bar area but by the time we left, the dining room area was packed. My colleague and I both chose salads and then decided to split the well-reviewed Mac-n-Cheese and hush puppies. My colleague chose the beet salad because he loves beets but most restaurants do not showcase them as this salad did. He loved it! I chose the Quinoa Salad based on it had many ingredients I love. One ingredient was the watermelon beet which I had never had before but it gave the salad nice crunch without an overpowering flavor. The Mac-n-Cheese lived up to the hype. Creamy cheese and tender veggies were very good and sharing it was a great accompaniment to our salads and wine. The hush puppies sat in a cheese sauce and were very good as well. The added jalapeños created a nice heat but did not make them spicy. I will visit Local 22 when in town again.

there was something for everyone --- great menu. We had a wonderful server who paid attention to the likes/dislikes of each guest. Everyone was pleased with their choice. Hushpuppies are a winner!

Went with my family of seven to celebrate my brother’s birthday. The food was outstanding - I had the burger special and tator tots. My cocktail was also delicious. The service to start out was a tad slow but the waitress overall was great.
