Second time at Local 121 and it was just as delicious as we remembered! The hostess was very friendly and server tried her best to be attentive. I appreciated that she gave us a heads up that she was a little busy due to being shorthanded, which made her lack of attention excusable to an extent. The deviled eggs were different and the calamari is top notch! The risotto carbonara was something so decadent yet not extremely heavy, which was surprising! Will definitely return for another visit!
The food was so good! Such a great space and a great atmosphere. Sad to hear that it is closing next week.

We had reservations and were seated immediately on a busy Friday night. Good food, great service, and very good drinks. Would definitely go back if we are in Prov again.
Service was great! Very attentive and polite. On issue I had was the salt content. I felt the food was over salted. I order the calamari and past dish. Although the food was very good the salt was a bit over powering.
Drink options and execution was outstanding.
Perfect spot for a date. Good food and menu of locally produced meat and greens. SADLY, Local 121 will close on March 11. The space has been sold to another restaurant. Better hurry if you want to enjoy Local 121.
Love this restaurant and the food was AMAZING!! The customer service was great and helpful with allergies and super-friendly. The scallops and everything was to die for. Great night overall. Thanks guys!
Arrived on time for an 8:30 pm reservation on a Sat nite. Waited a few minutes to be seated. Had requested a booth, but was given a table next to a very noisy, inebriated party of six, though saw an open, seemingly available booth across the room that we would have preferred. Our server was quick to come over, but once we said we would not be ordering alcohol (was with Mormon relatives) she simply seemed to shut down. She took our food order which took a very long time to arrive, despite the late hour. Our server whizzed by after our entrees finally arrived to check on us fleetingly, but seemed to have no interest in attending to our table. She never came back after that and once we finished our main course we had to, after 5+ minutes of waiting and looking around the room for our server to come offer dessert and coffee we finally decided to flag down another server (who reeked of cigarette smoke) to ask for menus. Amazingly once we obtained the menus our server showed up again to take our order, with somewhat of an incredulous attitude. It was almost like she was serving a large party elsewhere in the restaurant or had no interest in us because we weren't drinking b/c she was not at all attentive.
On a very positive note, the menu is creative and the food was delicious. We would absolutely return for that reason, but would insist on a booth. Hopefully next time we will have a more attentive, engaged server.
The meal was as expected, delicious. Our server was either having an off night or simply struggled to provide the service we would've expected in any restaurant. I'm not sure if it's standard for Local 121 but as a result of the service (or not) the hostess, another restaurant employee who brought our food and another member of the wait staff either filled our wine / water or checked on us several times.
As a result we will absolutely be back.
This was our second visit our first was New Years Eve and they had a pre fix menu.Everything was outstanding on New years so we decided to try it again with their full menu. Again everything was great service ,food and ambiance The hostess stopped by to make sure everything was OK and during our conversation found out that she in fact was the owner and was closing the second week of March because she wanted to retire was disappointed to hear that however understood being a business owner is difficult and even more so in the restaurant business I would recommend you try this place before it closes
Went here for brunch on a Saturday because it looked delicious and was down the block from the Biltmore. Quiet (5-6 diners) because DownCity is dead on weekends. The burger was to die for (although missing the promised fried pickles), and Sriracha fries with beer cheese were incredible. The mezcal negroni was interesting -- definitely assertive. The lobster and short rib hash was the only disappointment -- it was sort of a block of short rib, and the red wine sauce detracted from it.

We regularly dine at Local 121 for brunch before matinees at PPAC. Excellent food and reasonable prices. Be aware there is no valet parking on Sunday morning, but good on-street parking is often available at that time. Never a disappointment.
Enjoyed dinner before the show. Only drawback was it got cold every time the door opened. Food is different so as long as you are a bit adventures I say try it. I will go back next time I go to a show. Friday night bar was busy. Looked fun from my quick peek.

Absolutely delicious food in a great setting. They focus on locally sourced food. The menu is fairly small, but everything we had was perfect.
Great place for quality dining in a relaxed, yet elegant, setting. Food is locally sourced and always excellent. We return often for a pre-game outing in Providence that never disappoints.
There was a live keyboard player the entire meal who made great choices. Great service, yummy dishes. Some things stood out over the rest such as the small plates, especially the scallop dish. Wine from CT was great. You can choose from wooden and cozy var area or the separate brighter and still cozy dining room. Feels like the space is from another era without feeling old or out dated. Service was super friendly and accommodating.
The waitress was very helpful and professional. The martinis (real ones) were excellent. Mushroom bolognese and chicken pot pie were both delicious.
My wife and I came during Restaurant Week.
We drove down from Boston and arrived about 30 minutes early. They had the table ready for us already. This was a pleasant surprise.
We had the gnocchi and chowder to start. We had the pappardelle and bouillabaisse as entrees. We finished off the dessert with the death by chocolate and creme brûlée.
We both thought the gnocchi was great. It was light and airy. Not at all dense and gummy. The chowder on the other hand was a bit salty for our taste. Otherwise it was seasoned nicely with dill and other herbs.
The entrees were good. However it wasn't wow.
As for the desserts, my wife finished the death by chocolate.
We'll definitely consider this place again to try out their regular menu.
For some reason our service was very slow. Most of the food was very good, and our server was friendly and nice, but the wait between courses was extremely long. We waited 45 minutes between dinner and dessert, and I was nearly finished with my dinner before the beer I ordered arrived. One of our desserts wasn't very good. Our server was very apologetic and gave us a substitute dessert to bring home.
I went to local 121 for restaurant week. I am a JWU Culinary student and went with 5 of my friends from school. We enjoyed our time at local 121 and the food and drinks were fantastic. Service was a bit slow which was surprising because it was a Wednesday and pretty quiet, but we weren't in a rush. Overall a great experience and I will be back.
Alex was a wonderful waiter with excellent food recommendations. Hostess was very friendly and asked about our evening plans to know our time commitment.

Had brunch with friends on Sunday; the only surprise was that it was not packed given the great meal and service! Creative menu, huge portions, a great meal, comfortable seating, nice decor. We will be back!
My mom and I had a most enjoyable brunch on Sunday before going to Trinity Rep. We have been to this restaurant before going to the theater many times and it is always perfect. We are never rushed and the menu is definitely amazing--never knew "brunch" was available. The Sunset Farm Brunch Burger was delish, especially the fried pickle!

Wanted to try an undiscovered place for Restaurant Week. We had a delicious meal - chowder, bouillabaisse and creme caramel for me. Fabulous meal, attentive service and the most comfortable seats in both the bar and restaurant that I've ever plopped myself onto. We will be back!
We have been to Local 121 a number of times-pre Trinity plays usually. Everything is well paced, beautifully made, and flawlessly served. My wife had an amazing poached lobster; I had an appetizer of gnocchi with an unusual and delicious pork belly sauce, bouillabaisse, and a warm, filled beignet dessert. These were all part of a very reasonable prix-fixe menu for Restaurant Week. Lots of sharing went on. A++ to the kitchen, the bar, and the wait-staff.
Great food, service, and cocktails. The 3 eggs over easy was an awesome dish. They also make a great Bellini!
Went for NYE with friends. Loved it. We frequent 121 before shows at PPAC. Excellent service and food quality.
