Best meal I’ve had in an Austin restaurant in many years. I had the pasta tasting menu. Every dish was interesting and tasty without being over the top. Service was knowledgeable and genial but unobtrusive. Everyone there, including the servers seemed to be having a great time.
For the price the food was sub par, my sons $18 spaghetti tasted like canned food and the sausage was not fully cooked . Disappointed.
My wife and I had a really wonderful dinner here! The food was amazing and our server, Jenna, was just awesome! We loved the decor and ambiance and will definitely be returning!
The short ribs are a joke. One bite for $24. What a rip off
For a $200 dinner, the food is just not up to par with other options in town. Not good value.
My sister was in town and I wanted to show her Austin dining. Wonderful meal. We had the meat and cheese board, milanesa, the swordfish and the carbonara. The most memorable dish was the swordfish. Well balanced, light and flavorful. The carbonara was not traditional as the pink peppercorn was overpowering making it oddly spicy. Wish we had room for dessert. Service was a tad too attentive as we were wanting to catch up. All in all, great experience for this special occasion.

As visitors to Austin, this was a lovely change in pace. Amazing flavors and exceptional staff! We loved the food and the recommendations given to us did not lead us astray. The house-made mozz (hot sauce? who knew, but heck yes!) + foccacia are a must! The staff were humble, gracious, and knowledgeable. We had a great time!

The tasting menu is a fun experience and I highly recommend trying it at the bar. It's fun to watch the prep and the activity. I would not do the tasting menu again. Most of the food was fine but there was barely enough of the confit on my plate to even get a taste. I knew that we would get small plates but the meat on that plate wouldn't have filled half of a teaspoon. One of the pasta courses was way too al dente to enjoy. The dessert was terrible. The fried cannoli shell was burnt and fishy tasting. It was overcooked and in old oil. Very disappointing and there was so many mini chocolate chips in the gelato there wasn't much point in calling it gelato. So fun experience, food was not great.
Loved everything about the meal and experience. Will be back.

One of our favorite Italian restaurants in town. They always have innovative, tasty dishes and make the best cocktails. We have never had a dish we didn't like. Love this place; highly recommend it!

The dish I ordered was too fishy. They said shrimp and ricotta but the ricotta was non existent and was extremely fishy. Prices are expensive
I'm sorry that you didn't enjoy. We are always willing and able to remake a dish or bring out something new if what you ordered doesn't meet expectations for any reason. For instance on that dish, the menu says ricotta whey-leek puree so I can imagine that you were surprised if you were expecting fresh ricotta. Perhaps you'll try us again at Happy Hour every day til 6:30 when we offer a number of snacks and drinks at 50% off. And always let us know your thoughts. Best, Adam Orman, GM/Owner
The wait staff was wonderful and accommodating, as was the chef for changing up the pasta.
There was one disappointing thing: The fabulous texas peach with the mozzarella that was written on the menu as an ingredient was really disappointing. It consisted of 3 MICRO-slices of peach, so thin you couldn't even taste it. I mean, if you are going to buy one peach from a farmer to last all week, why bother bragging about using Texas peaches if the diner can hardly see it much less taste it? Truly, put more peach on the dish or don't talk about it.
Everyone was lovely and nice and proud of the food, as they should be, but this one thing doesn't make sense. Otherwise, thank you for a lovely evening.

We had a great experience at L’Oca d’Oro! Service was great, the pasta was excellent, and overall a very pleasant dining experience! We had an appetizer and split the Carbonara and Cassarece - both were delicious! You can tell the pasta is made fresh in house. We will be back to try the tasting menu, which had seasonal dishes that looked amazing!

A hidden gem in Mueller. Wonderful homemade pasta & wood fired ciabatta. Creative menu & very interesting wine list. Service spot on. Noise level in main room very loud, but high top in front of open kitchen was perfect. Worth the drive out.

Overpriced, noisy, menu is too limited, not a good value for the quality of the food and ambiance.
Alfred, I'm sorry that you were disappointed and that we were unable to address your concerns while you were here. We do have to keep the menu small and try to keep prices reasonable given that we make everything in house and source locally and sustainably. That being said, we are always happy to replace or remake a dish that is not to your liking or has not been executed properly. Excellent food, but same hit or miss service you get in Austin, tx. Luckily all the servers work as a team there so if your server isn’t coming by there were other servers checking and taking further orders as needed

WE are always pleasantly surprise but the taste of the food. This is not a red and white checkered Italian restaurant. Once we made a meal of just the appetizers. We want to return to try the pasta course. The customer service and the quality of the food is excellent. The wait staff is attentive without being overbearing or fake ( fills your water glass every 2 min ). When staff members who are not the waiter drop off a drink or a dish and you ask them for something - they don't say "This is not my table", they stop take your order and quietly pass it off to the waiter.

We stopped by towards the end of happy hour and had a seat at the bar. We had appetizers of beet dip, carrots, and meatballs. The dishes packed a lot of flavor and were worth it. The pasta we had for our entrees were excellent. I had the tagliatelle with pepper ragu and was very happy. The heat in the dish was just right. Do not miss the sweet corn panna cotta. The blueberries and corn just scream summertime.

Only thing that was kind of meh...was we were seated we could see the kitchen... which was fine, but the area looked forgotten about. Everything else looked well put together and cared for.

Went for Father’s Day dinner. It was a first for all of us. The food was refined and beautifully presented. The tastes were unexpected, but delicious. Our waiter was informative and personable. We will definitely go back!

The pasta tasting menu featured a superb fried zucchini flower, four small pasta courses, and a large cannoli, gelato, wgipped cream sundae. Expensive but great quality and a very talented kitchen. Will definitely go back.

Great menu, food and service. Several menu items were spectacular, and server was very knowledgeable. The space is dominated by an open kitchen and bar, which is nicely transparent but noisy. The utilitarian metal chairs feel a little incongruous when you're spending $100 per person for dinner (including a cocktail and glass of wine). When the bill came we were expecting the 20% service charge for staff – which we totally support – but surprised by the big line for "tip". We added another 5%. I don't think the server was happy, and we ended up feeling cheap. This isn't how it should work.
I'm glad you enjoyed and appreciate this review but I am sorry there were things that you were put off by. To address your tip concern, we are working with our ordering system to be able to customize the receipt but the format has, unfortunately, been out of our control. I can assure you though (and anyone reading this) that our servers do not expect add'l tips. They are appreciated but not the norm and are also shared with the whole staff. Best, Adam Orman, GM/Owner

The beet cashew dip was incredible. It’s one of the most interesting dishes I’ve tasted in past months. We also enjoyed the tagliatelle, and several other vegetarian options. The ambiance is inviting, lovely, and thoughtfully designed.
Every time I dine here, I experience some delightful, unexpected combination of flavors. We enjoy this restaurant whenever we can make it to the area, not only for their creative and delicious food, but also because they pay their staff a fair wage. We appreciate a restaurant that will uphold these values. They care about not only the quality of their food but also the quality of life for their staff.
