   The Lobster Shanty is a special treat for me. My parents used to go years ago, and now we go whenever we're in town. This time was slightly off. The service was slow; the food was overcooked (spareribs), almost soupy; the oysters were expensive and only ordinary.

   I had gone here for a meeting once and decided to give it a try for my birthday. And boy was I blown away! The view was beautiful even in January. The bread and fried corn fritters…wow! Who needs dessert when those are in front of you? The salads were even perfectly portioned and fresh. I could’ve been happy with just that, but then our meals came and every single one of us were impressed. My husband said it was the best burger he has ever had. My apricot chicken was perfect. My son got the steak empanadas and is already begging to go back. My super picky 8 year old even ate ALL of her pizza kids meal (which has never happened before). It was my birthday and our waitress was so sweet. She put a candle in our insanely large shanty brownie (it’s the size of a cake) and she sang happy birthday. I thought just my kids would have split the brownie until we saw how HUGE it was! Our entire table ended up digging in and we still had some leftover. The warm gooey brownie melted in your mouth topped with ice cream made the perfect duo. Needless to say we all could barely move after that, but it was worth it. We don’t live close by but we are already planning the next trip!

   Go for the flounder. It was outstanding. Great drinks, server, and food. It is winter at the shore so it was not crowded.

   Lots of great seafood options and reasonably priced menu. Would definitely return again

   I ordered Linguine with white clam sauce for 28.00. The dish was small with 2 clams in the dish.. I repeat 2! If I had gotten a can of Progresso linguine and claims for 3.79, it would have been tastier and definitely more filling!

   Great location. Nice inside, large roomy area. Our waitress was very nice and timely. Timed our meal perfectly and we were not rushed at all.. Views are great. Parking plentiful off season. I thought wine selection was good. We went for fish and they had a selection.

   We have been to Lobster Shanty several times now yhe food has been very good, the ambiance is nice and the service has been excellent.
