   Food is consistently good, I eat here once a year in July with a group of friends and the food and service never disappoints. Prices seem to have gone up, 4 people, bill was $404 with tip.

   We frequent this restaurant every summer with the kids . This is our go to City Island spot . We've always had an excellent experience. My daughters graduation dinner, wasn't exceptional . This is the first ( and I hope the last time ) service will be less then perfect .

   I normally dislike writing negative reviews as I know it can harm or hinder a business so this review is mainly about the manager that worked on Saturday 6/25/2016 around 9pm. My boyfriend and I decided to go on a date night in city island. First issue, when we first arrived no one was at the front to greet us or seat us. We had to go to the bar to ask how do we get seated and that we had reservations. Second issue our waitress disappeared for an hour. I had to get up and ask a near by waiter if they could find our waitress or the manager as we were waiting for our food for an hour. 3rd issue, 20minutes later the manager arrives with our food and a very aggressive and rude attitude probably because he knew the service we were receiving was terrible! I politely asked what the hold up was as I know and understand things can happen, its life. His response "there is no hold up waiting an hour for your food is normal in a restaurant" At this point we had been waiting an hour and 30minutes. He was very unapologetic as well as the waitress. I told him there had to be a better explanation and if there wasn't I would no longer like to dine at this establishment. He then snatched our plates away and muttered something under his breathe and walked away! This manager needs to be re trained on customer service as well as people skills! I will never dine here again as there are plenty of other options on city island. If your reading this I recommend you select another restaurant.

   We have been to many restaurants on City Island. This has had by far the best food. i had a seafood risotto that was amazing. The portions are very large. Took a lot home and has it for lunch the next day. Very friendly staff, our service was very nice and very helpful. She gave us suggestions on what to order. Will definitely come back.

   We asked for a water-view table, which they provided, but it was right next to a group party that was VERY loud, making it impossible to communicate with each other or enjoy the meal. We moved to a different table, losing the water view.

   My wife treated me to Father's Day dinner at the Lobster Box. The restaurant was very busy resulting in a noisy atmosphere and extremely slow service. The food was OK, nothing out of the ordinary.

   Disapointed. I took my husband for Father's Day and it was not a good experience. The food was not good and definitely not worth the money we spent. What was worse was we had a terrible waiter. He actually disappeared at one point and we had to wait 20 minutes to get the check after asking multiple people to tell our waiter we were ready to leave. We will not go back ... ever... nor would we recommend it to another..at least no one we like.

   I was disappointed in The Lobster Box. There was only a small menu available, even though their website said the Dinner menu would be available upon request. The "Holiday Menu" that was available, had a limited selection, and was quite high in price. I feel the restaurant's food was not worth the high prices.

   Had an early Father's day lunch. There weren't many people there, so I was surprised that the table wasn't clean when we sat down. It look like salt had spilled. We asked them to clean it off, and the person cleaning it sprayed the blue cleanser on the table, not on the towel. I tried not to breath it in and covered my utensils and hoped none of the cleanser got on it. Other than that, the service was fine and the food was very good. Although, I'd say it was pretty standard Italian Seafood.

    Everyone enjoyed their meal and the service was excellent. We would definitely go back there again.
