Christmas dinner with my neighbours -I had been before but nobody else had and we’re all local !
The food was fabulous , the service excellent and
my neighbours were all very impressed !!
I had lobster ravioli -with large chunks of lobster outside the pasta
The sea bream was pronounced delicious by two of our party and everybody had a great night thanks to the lovely attentive staff
Would highly recommend lobstar for a great dining experience
Great service with delicious food. Cosy restaurant. Extensive wine menu.
Wonderful evening as always. Staff very attentive and friendly. You can’t beat the Lobster. Thank you
Lobstar burger has to be in the top 5 burgers in Dublin! Delicious 🤤
Marco, our server, was charming and attentive, as were the proprietors, the chef and his front-of-house partner. Delicious food, intimate atmosphere; we’ll return.
Always gorgeous! Our favourite local. The lobster roll is perfection with lovely staff, excellent service and great wine-Nice to see Moineir Wickow fruit wine available by the glass too. Also had the mussels to start -so fresh and cooked perfectly.
Excellent staff and delicious food. A beautiful view of the Christmas tree from the counter seats.
Most amazing meal. The service was great, the staff were very friendly. Will definitely visit again.
Great food, great service, as always. Our local gem.
nice ambience, tuna starter spectacular but the main fish was a little on the stingy side. Wine list is patchy too and you have to pick your way through it to find value. 122 for two for an early bird is not cheap.
Lobstar is great! Amazing food and service but the drinks is the downside. Wine prices are astronomical
Food and service was impeccable. I had the half lobster and it was cooked to perfection.
I love this restaurant BUT and it’s a small but ...I feel there should be a house wine option priced around €20/23. Cheapest on menu is €30 plus and this adds far to much to the bill if you are a group of wine drinkers. Food, staff excellent... if the wine offering changed I would go more often.
Lobstar continues to impress. The food is incredible and remains my top choice in Dublin. Service is great.
Loved the food. But I felt the tables were to close to one another
Really happy we found this little place a short drive from Blackrock. Food is delicious and really fresh (they don't have freezers) and the staff are lovely. Will definitely be added to the list of our locals.
Delicious fresh ingredients - well prepared and tasty.
We took our mum for a special birthday dinner and it was a huge success. The staff were wonderful. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the lobster! They made a special effort with a surprise chocolate mousse cake with a candle. Highly recommend.
This is our second time here and again it did not disappoint. Delicious food, good service and ambience as well as a reasonably priced menu. What more does one need.
We had a lovely meal here, the food was fab, really nice wine selection and great service,
Always outstanding, always great service. A special place in Monkstown.
The food was delicious, each course was 10 out of 10,the staff were so friendly, looking forward to dining there again.
Brilliant service and a well informed waiter. Food was off the charts. I loved it.
Tiny little gem in the heart of Monkstown village - much better than expected with warm friendly staff and excellent food
Had the lobster roll and the steak as the mains, cheesecake and the chocolate spheres as desserts - all were amazing. Such a cute and cozy little restaurant and the service was very friendly and professional. Unfortunately ended up in the restaurant at the same time with another large group celebrating a birthday so the noise levels were through the roof, but this was in no way the restaurant's fault. Would recommend the place to everyone and will definitely be back again myself.
The food is beautifully presented and the fish is always perfectly cooked. The staff are friendly and helpful. The wine list is interesting too.
I’d like to see chunkier lobster pieces in the ravioli, 2 portions in the lobster roll, and larger whole lobster for the prices asked.
Service, Food and ambiance were good but very overpriced for the size of the portions
My son’s steak was TINY, really mean portion.
And vegetables were EXTRA!!!
For the prices you are charging Lobstar is NOT good value.
Great service staff, quality ingredients, talented chef. A great addition to Monkstown's growing restaurant scene.
Lobstar delivers on all fronts. It's a small restaurant very modern decor and full of atmosphere. Menu choices are excellent. Highly recommend the Tuna poke for starter. Lobster is a must for main course. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful.
We had a lovely meal and the service was really warm and friendly. The food was beautiful and ambience lively but you could here yourself talk. The wine we selected was the second from bottom of list price wise which although lovely we did feel the wine prices were a bit out of kilter with the food prices. One option in 20 Euro price range, one or two in 30 Euro and then a lot in 40euro plus. We eat in similarly priced restaurants that offer a broader choice of reasonably priced wine. This is not a negative as the whole experience was great and we would happily return.
Popular eaterie in Monkstown. Good food, well prepared. Professionally run. Getting a bit pricey.
Great local find. Amazing value for early bird! I love it! I will be back with more friends. Great place to celebrate any occasion!
We had a really nice meal on Monday evening. Food was 10/10. A must visit
Fabulous restaurant! Food excellent and prices good too.
Had a wonderful meal - food was delicious, amazing chicken wings to start - just perfect. Lobster was wonderful and sea bream highly recommended. Service is always so good and nothing is too much trouble. Will definitely be back.
This is a fabulous restaurant that we are lucky to have on our doorstep. The food quality is consistently excellent.
Cosy and wonderful service from all the waiting staff too.
Another wonderful meal with friends. Lobstar has become my most favourite restaurant in Dublin. The chef certainly knows how to get flavour into food!
amazing food and great friendly service. counter seats are lovely
Another great meal at lobstar.. a must visit!
I have been in Lobstar a number of times and was never disappointed. The food is fresh, well cooked and beautifully presented and the waiting staff are welcoming, smiling and efficient - nothing is any trouble here and they are prepared to alter dishes to suit individual tastes. The brunch offers a choice of a la carte or the early bird menu which is great value.
