In fairness my family didn’t end up having dinner at Lobby. We made reservations (mother’s birthday) only to wait roughly 15 minutes for our table. Once seated it was clear the table was not reserved as we were seated at a makeshift table directly in front of the DJ booth. The noise level was so high we couldn’t hear each other. Although the staff was friendly enough, it is young, inexperienced and disorganized. There are a few other restaurants on the same street so we were able to have a very enjoyable evening elsewhere. If you’re looking for a “club” experience I am sure Lobby will fit the bill, how ever avoid if you’re looking for a true dining experience.

Enjoyed a lovely evening on the rooftop patio with girlfriends, but the interior would have been beautiful as well. Nice drinks and food was tasty.

Although the food and ambience were fine, we wouldn’t return to the Lobby. The service was absolutely terrible. Suffice it to say it was one disappointment after another. We were largely ignored throughout the short time were were there. The hostess was particularly frustrating. We had one drink and left to walk to Secco where we had amazing service. Would go back there in a hurry!

Service was not up to par. Took forever to get our dessert, we weren’t in a rush but we had our tea and Americano for at least 20 minutes before we got our cheesecake. And my husband had to return his Americano because there seemed to be tea leaves or something floating in it. When he got the “new” Americano back, it was the exact same one; it was cold and still had the “things” floating around in it. Our food was good. But we weren’t blown away by our meals. We were outside on the patio. We realized maybe if we are inside we would have had a different experience because of the ambience but regardless, the service should be the same no matter where you sit, patio or in the restaurant.

The cocktails were very good and the lively atmosphere was fun. I went for drinks with some girl friends. Unfortunately our server made us feel extremely rushed the entire evening. She tried multiple times to take away our appetizers before we finished and we told her twice that we plan to finish the food. She also tried to take away my drink before I was finished. She asked if we wanted the bill so we said yes because I understand that sometimes servers need to finish their shift. We wanted to order more drinks so we had to flag her down. I understand that the restaurant needs to remove tables and chairs by a certain time which is perfectly fine but I would prefer that is clearly communicated at the beginning or end of our reservation (for example, we can be informed by the host or server that our table is needed by x time). Instead, it seems like the tactic is to rush out your table as soon as possible.
