Service was outstanding as was the food. There was a wedding so louder than normal probably but the piano player was great when we could here it. A must try while in Louiville!

Our dinner and experience at crown was excellent. The roasted chicken, soups, hot brown and scalloped were all hits with our dining party. Cocktails were crafted excellently and the service staff was attentive. Don’t let the high noise level hold you back. This was due to excellent piano players who set up a fun and retro atmosphere!

The English Grill and Lobby Bar and Grill has been a long time favorite. Both have now been combined as the Lobby Bar and Grill. The food is excellent, and the service is impeccable. This is truly a full top-notch dining experience and a must if you haven't been. The Brown hotel offers free valet parking if you have a reservation. Don't forget to tip the valet :) Next you ascend beautiful stairs which transport you back in time. You immerge to a lively sophisticated bar scene and the beautiful sounds from the baby grand piano. Please tip the gentleman playing the piano as well :) When making you reservation, you may request to be seated in the bar area or in the old English Grill dining room for a quieter atmosphere. Our favorites are the Farmer Salad, the Hot Brown (the original), and the Duck breast, all chased down with a glass of Cloudline Pinot Noir. As you can tell we love this place.

The last time I ate here I was disappointed with the scallops (only 3) and with its bed of sweet potato puree and assorted vegetables, mushrooms, and salted pork. Last night I had the same, but only because our server, Jeremiah, said that I could add a couple of extra scallops. I still think that the dish should come with a minimum of 4 scallops, but was quite satisfied with the end result. Delicious! And thank you, Jeremiah, for being an excellent waitperson. You did a great job keep track of our party, and spacing the courses appropriately. Oh, and the Farmer's salad with baby greens, candied pecans, and chopped dried cherries with a Raspberry Vinaigrette was quite tasty. If I could recommend one thing, it would be that there be at least one special as the menu tends to stay fairly much the same (We've been dining here for 3 years),

Loved the pianist! Amazing food. Ambiance is off the charts! Wait staff were very attentive. After dinner we took a glass of wine upstairs and enjoyed a game of chess. Wonderful place to dine.

We only wish this amazing place came with a time travelers machine to go back in time and experience it back in the 40’s or 50’s. I love that they have maintained the ambiance from years ago, it is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! The staff is TOP-NOTCH!!! Thoroughly enjoyed meeting your diverse staff. Everyone was lovely!!!! Last but not least, the food - we enjoyed the Brown sandwich, or something like that, but it’s what they’re known for, it was super duper delicious!!!
